The best hair salon on the Northshore. The owner, Amy, is exceptional and very versatile. The salon offers haircuts for men, women, and children. It also offers coloring, extensions, and more. Amy was able to turn my dark brown hair to blonde over a short period of time. We also mixed it up with some blue coloring that came out amazing. Amy has been my stylist for 5 years. The salon is clean and modern. The staff is super friendly and inviting. read more

2 years ago I moved to the area and Through Yelp found Lacoste. I have extremely long, thick curly hair which makes my hair tricky to work with to say the least. These ladies in every sense of the word are exceptional at what they do; they are true artists. I truly cannot tell you enough wonderful things about the salon and the ladies that work there. I am new to the area and checked yelp for a good salon. The stylist were nice and friendly.. my stylist was having personal issues and was a little distracted, I would have been ok with that, but she had another person scheduled during my processing.. that is fine too, but then seemed too stressful for the stylist.. I told her my hair processes fast, I told her I wanted a level 8 on my brows.. she left the toner in my hair for way too long while with the other client and my hair was purple for a week. Then put a 9 on my brows so I still have to pencil them (why did I pay for that?).. mean while, her other client was sitting in the chair with 2 hair brushes in her hair, waiting for the stylist to help me.. her next appt showed up and other stylists had to finish the other client as my stylist was rushing thru my hair cut (which is awful). I went to pay and then I remembered she didn't wax my eyebrows.. i was there almost 4 hrs!!! My bill was $184 and I tipped 20% because that's who I am. Now I have to find somebody who will cut my hair to make it look decent.. if u have a new client, don't schedule somebody during the processing, u have no clue how the new client's hair is.. read more

I was so mad when I walked out of this place. I just wanted my hair to look soft and healthy after having it conditioned but It wound up looking much drier and extremely crunchy. There are many of stylists who have done my hair but I must say the team at Lacoste is by far the best! I love that they all work so closely together and that you can literally switch it up and go to whoever has availability and get the same amazing results as the owner herself! Speaking of the owner-she's just amazing on how well she runs her business and has created such a great environment to get pampered at the salon! read more

Trudy is the BEST! She is honest and takes time to work with you. She will not let you "emotionally" cut or dye your hair without really discussing the effects and reasons for the change. It may sound like a silly thing, but after many drastic cuts and colors, this is vastly appreciated. I highly recommend this salon. read more

LHD is a busy salon full of personality. We love our guest more than anything, we know they always have a wonderful experience. LHD is now Certified in SOCAP Hair Extensions, is a Redken Broadway Salon, and a Summit Salon. They continue on their education journey as they travel to many hair shows in Birmingham, Orlando, and Vegas. Our Salon Company is very well know for our team work, up to date style, and of course awesome hair!

History

Established in 2010.

LHD started in a very small salon in the heart of Mandeville. As we have grown and added to our team we had to move to a much larger space. Amy Lacoste opened her Company with dreams of being more than just your average salon with average customer service. She has exceeded her own expectations and continues to grow with her employees.

Meet the Business Owner: Amy L.

Amy Lacoste was an Aveada Institue graduate, who graduated top in her class. From the moment she could remember she wanted to become a cosmetologist. With an amazing skill and a brain for business she was able to open her own Salon Company. At the age of 19 she started her journey and now almost 9 years later, her company has grown tremendously. With the support of her family, employees, and guest, her team continues to meet all of their goals.

Michael is thoroughly educated and it is obvious that he loves his work and takes great pride in it. So far I've had multiple waxes done, including a Brazilian wax which was done better than any other I've had. I've had my eyelashes dyed and the experience was amazing. My boyfriend couldn't figure out what was different but kept complimenting me lol. If you don't like to wear makeup like me then this is the perfect supplemental beauty trick. I've bought essential oils and skincare products from him and his recommendations were spot on. No one has ever been able to deal with my super sensitive skin and know just the right products for it except Michael. Overall the atmosphere, professionalism and perfect results I get from Avalon have kept me coming back for more. 5 stars without a doubt. Thanks Michael! See you soon! :)

I've gone to Lacoste for 11 years now. I can honestly say that I am more than satisfied after every appointment. I've gone from mundane cuts and colors to crazy ones, and they all came out exactly as I had envisioned. There's a lot of discussion beforehand to make sure we are all on the same page.
