This is a fantastic all service Salon. I am new to the area having just moved here from Northern Virginia. I needed a refresh high and low light coloring along with a inverted Bob cut. Jessica did a fantastic job and I will continue to recommended her and this salon always. Everyone is hip and fashionable and all employees re nice and welcoming. The owner is very kind and complimented me on my new hairstyle which really made me feel good!!! If you are searching for a salon this is your place. Even though this salon is tucked away in a small shopping center, it has something special that no other salon around here has. That special something is a stylist who actually KNOWS how to cut curly hair and her name is Cara. I'm not talking about curled(curling iron,perm rods,etc) hair, I mean REAL curly hair! Cara has had training through various salons that specialize in curly textured hair and her work shows it. She examines the hair and cuts it in it's natural state(dry) unlike most salons I've visited. It's nice to leave a salon feeling like my hair was exactly like I wanted to be instead of horrified and embarrassed. Everyone at this salon was very friendly but because of Cara I will most definitely be back!! read more

Recently moved to the North Shore and made appointment for haircut at H2O Mandeville. Thought I would get professional attention and cut. Scheduled with Jennifer. Sadly, attention was on anything but my hair. Her focus was on getting pictures for her social media I suppose to market herself. H2O is tucked back into a small strip mall. For the number of stylists the shop is too small. There is nowhere to hang your purse by your stylist so all the purses are surrounding the color station which I don't like. On my third haircut, the high-school aged daughter of one of the stylists washed my hair since she was working there part-time, and since she didn't know what she was doing, got the neck of my blouse all wet. However, I would be more than willing to overlook these minor items if the haircuts were consistently outstanding. Cara is a young stylist who gave me a very nice haircut the first time, a great haircut the second time and an awful haircut the last time. I feel betrayed - I paid $70 and I get a terrible cut that I have to wait for it to grow out. A week after the last haircut I went home for a family reunion and was told by family that it was the worst haircut I've ever had. I'm 57 so I've had a lot of haircuts. I think Cara has a lot of promise IF she can consistently deliver outstanding haircuts. At $60 plus $10 tip, her work doesn't warrant that price. One side of my hair was cut differently by my ear which made it even more noticeable. The hair just doesn't lay right which is the hallmark of a good cut. There has to be better salons than this on the northshore. read more

This place was very welcoming - the receptionist showed me around prior to my appointment which put me at ease. My stylist, Bailey Hilton, asked lots of good questions to get a clear idea of what I wanted in a style and how much work I was (or wasn't) ready to put into styling my hair. He did a great job on my short cut and I will be going back to him again. While I do like the product (color) that this salon uses, I find the salon environment rather uncomfortable. The receptionist is rude & stylists jack you around with regard to playing favorites about who gets an appt & who has to wait for a decision before scheduling???!! Never experienced this before & I have been to many top salons across three states. Will never return to this salon & cannot believe their arrogant behavior. read more

As far as haircut go I usually hope for the best but expect the worse...H2O salon changed that. I booked my appointment because the salon was close to my house and I was still on a quest to find the "right" stylist. I asked for Gabriela because her bio said she likes cutting short hair. My first impression of the salon was that it is much busier and "hip" that I had imagined and was alittle worried that I would not feel comfortable. My fears were put to ease immediately with the genuine kindness of the staff. To make the experience even better Gabriela did an amazing job on my hair. By far the best haircut i have ever had. She was professional, very kind and took the time to show me how to replicate the style. I am definitely a fan. read more

This was literally the worst salon experience of my life. At certain points it felt like I knew more about dying hair than the person doing it did. If you could rate less than a star, I would. Not only did they bleach my hair twice (overlapping several coats of bleach at one point to make it as light as they wanted, which ruined my hair most likely) they also put several colors on top of each other, meaning I walked out with orange and green hair. When I explained to the hairdresser that certain dyes would not cover up certain colors and spots, they insisted that it would. Guess what? It didn't. By the end of all this, my scalp was extremely sensitive, but they still used scalding hot water to wash everything out, which was excruciating. They told me to come in this morning to get everything fixed, and simply added a dark brown over the atrocity they had completed yesterday. Now I have dark brown hair with green splotched in random spots. They ALSO made me pay for this ridiculous "cover up." It cost me 90 dollars to walk out with my hair the same color I had walked in with, but now complete with green randomly thrown in there. They were very kind, but that does not make up for how unprofessional they were (they didn't apologize even once!) or the fact that they still made me pay. If you go here on the regular and enjoy it, good for you - if you're looking for someplace new, try and look elsewhere. read more

Today, I walked into H2O to get my normal hair cut (I get a trim, some color and then put it in a ponytail every single day after that). For the past 15 years that has been my style. Recently, I have been wanting to change my style drastically. When I walked in today Maycie immediately painted a picture for me. We started talking about color then style. H20 has created an environment of teamwork! I promise you will never see another salon work together like they do. I felt like the most important girl in the world with so many people working with me! They constantly offer to help each other and you can tell they really care about the client experience. Maycie made me feel comfortable and relaxed even though I was freaking out at the same time. I went home today a new woman.... I came home with confidence I have not had in a long time.
