As a nomad traveler on the road full time I was warned by a friend who also lived full time in her RV for years that the two biggest challenges being on the road full time are getting good internet connection and a good hair color/cut. I hit the jackpot today at A Thomas Cousins Salon. Brandye was so skilled at listening and asking questions on what I wanted to accomplish and very successfully got my color right and nicely cleaned up a not so great layering I had on my last cut. Such a nice relaxed environment, I did not feel rushed and enjoyed they whole experience. read more

A Thomas CousinsSalon - Hair Salons Near Me - Mandeville, Louisiana

Confusing pricing structure and total lack of communication. I've called for an appointment, twice, with no return call. Guess they don't need new business... read more

Super friendly. Laid back. Best head shampoo/neck message at a salon ever. Great place to relax and leave feeling refreshed with a new look. And they do awesome color. Try them, you won't be disappointed. Ask for Tracy. Ps : it takes me forever to find a great stylist! Tracy is no longer there --- ask for Hannah read more

I'm giving this 4 only because I am eating my general salon experience and I really don't know how good the other stylists are. Hana was amazing! One of the best haircuts ever. I'm transitioning to grey from years of dark brown. My hair is about 4 different colors. She was able to cut into my dark ends and minimize the awkward look. Everyone loves it as well. Highly recommend her. She is 5 stars! read more

I'm not sure what happened to Thomas's skills but I quit going to his salon a few years back because the cut he gave me was one from a beginner stylist and he appeared uninterested in cutting my hair -before this my haircuts from him were great and often people asked where I got the cut -so after years of seeing other stylist and traveling I thought I would try him again but I got the same inexperienced kind of cut and another uninterested attitude - he used to be at the top of his game not sure what happened- I could never recommend him to others at this point ‍ read more

Went a few months ago to get hair cut. Britney was my stylist. She did and alright job the first time I went to her. Went back a second time and I will never go back. She actually chopped my hair. She washed it and dried it with a blow dryer and that's all she did. She never even styled it . I had made another appointment at the time but then I decided to cancel it. Called to cancel the appointment and Mr Thomas Cousins answered the phone. He asked me if I wanted to reschedule and told him no. I told him all about my experience with the shop and that's all he said, "OK" . Very Dissapointing. read more

The salon was very nice and they take you into a dark room for the shampoo and give the best scalp and neck massage. Felt more like a spa than just a regular salon. Chelsea did my hair and was very friendly and did a perfect job! read more

Great services. Love my stylist, Chelsea, who always asks for input on what I am hoping to achieve during my experience. She is knowledgeable, friendly, and skillful. Ask for her... you won't be disappointed! read more

I had the opportunity to get a blowout with Thomas this morning! One of the best blowouts I've ever had. I highly recommend this salon! The staff was so professional and accommodating. The wash house (shampoo experience) was relaxing and wonderful. I love my hair! read more

What an AMAZING salon!! My stylist, Chelsea Lewis, always does an awesome job with my hair. I always get so many compliments on who did my hair. She knows exactly what I want without me having to explain. Make sure you check her out!! read more

Best experience at a salon ever. If you're looking for a place you can let your hair down (literally) and cut it up with some awesome people then this is your place. All the good things we like about the NOLA area they seem to capture perfectly. Thomas is the best, but honestly he sucks so if you ever come here don't ask for Thomas. Seriously he's hard enough to schedule ;). Oh and there's a bar next door read more

I go to Thomas and he is amazing! He listens to what you want and does exactly that! Not many salons can deliver like that. Thomas is an educator in the industry so he is up to date with everything in the hair industry. Thank you Thomas for listening & following through on my requests!! read more

I was referred to this place by another hairdresser it couldn't get us in so I thought I would give it a try my daughter needed her hair done for homecoming. we had a set appointment at 5 o'clock we sat there for 25 minutes nobody said anything they knew that we had people meeting us at the house at 5:45 didn't say anything. I had to go up to the desk and remind them and find out how much longer it would be and then the lady at the desk said they wouldn't be able to do it I will never ever go there again read more

OMG! Chose this salon for the location and now am a huge fan! No - they're not cheap but worth every dime in my opinion. My stylist, Teresa, was willing to listen to what I wanted (it was a HUGE change) and made suggestions that were really well informed. And let me tell you about the fabulous scalp massage and shampoo.... dim lights, great music . . . a totally indulgent experience. I have never been so pleased after walking out of a salon! read more

I was visiting from out of town and wanted to have a mommy/daughter day date. I called to schedule an appointment for us and they were able to accommodate us the next day! Let me start by saying my daughter is a very active three year old but I wanted her to have them same "spa" treatment/experience as I was receiving. Ms. Brandy was wonderful with my little one treated her as if she was the paying client lol she received the same professional courtesy as any other guest. She loves her haircut and loves telling her story the best!!! Ms. Hannah did my cut which is everything I wanted! I had such a horrible experience last year where my hair was severely damaged and ended up having to cut it all off- Pixie cut- I've been letting it grow some but it was at the point that it needed reshaping and some taming. I explained this all the her and she listened then she did something unexpected she actually went into detail what she was going to do why she was doing it and how I can care for my hair at home. As for the rest of the staff they were just as wonderful they made certain to offer us something to drink and if we needed anything. My daughter was finished before I was and the staff helped entertain her while I was finishing up. Overall it was an amazing experience and will be back when we visit in a few months. Thank you all so much!!!! read more

Great spot! I was greatly Surprised by their Reasonable prices!!! Enjoyed their service and style, as well. Definitely recommend!! Kat listened and did what I asked for. It was a thoroughly satisfying experience. And so reasonably priced!! I ended up giving Kat a $30 tip I was so happy about the price! read more

I don't have enough good things to say about them! I went for the first time this week and Hannah gave me the best haircut I've ever gotten. The atmosphere was perfect - especially in the lather lounge. The products that were recommended are perfect for my hair and I'm so happy I went ahead and got them. I'll never go anywhere else! read more

I was very nervous about trying a new salon. I'm very new to the area and finding a hair salon is about as difficult as finding a doctor. I wanted to go from a very dark mahogany to a honey blonde. I had Kat who was absolutely amazing! I have had several compliments and feel completely WOWed by what she was able to do for me! Everyone at this salon was very pleasant and helpful. The owner Tommy and Brandy were fantastic and I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to feel and look as beautiful as they can be. Thank you so much for your amazing work and the price is very right! :) read more

I've been going here for 3 years and will not go anywhere else. My first guy was an awesome stylist, but sadly he's left for other pastures. I was scared to try someone new, but now I've been with Heather for over a year and she's fabulous! The shampoo experience is a little Zen moment. Heather does an exceptional job, and every stylist in there is kind and entertaining. The only thing that would make it better is if they handed me a glass of wine when I entered. read more

I live at chenier so I thought I'd give this place a try. I loved it. Steven worked magic on my hair!!!

I cannot believe the prices this place charges. It is NOT a moderate priced salon. I paid almost $300 for highlights. The prices are not listed on the website or any where else. Buyer beware. Ask how much it is going to be. You have been warned!! read more
