I have some natural curls/waves I am trying to embrace and love the way a shag really allows my heavy hair the volume it needs. Neither were available online so I opened to call in and just book a normal haircut. I was paired with Lila. At check in, I was offered a beverage. I chose mimosa, and directed to the chair to discuss my concerns. I shared my previous experiences and showed up with my hair in its natural state to show her what I was working with. We agreed on a very altered cut and curtain bangs. With a wash and blowout, the entire thing took about 45minutes. I am was so happy with the results. The process was very fair and I will certainly be back. I really appreciated that Lila was honest about her not specializing in either the shag or curly cut I initially requested. I was still very pleased and hope people go to her for their hair.

I've reached out on social media and was told to see the owner or other top level stylists that have been there longer. I have seen stylists all the way from level 1 to level 3 so the fact that "they're newer and were in training" should not be an excuse. I don't feel like I should book with the owner to guarantee to be seen. I love, love, loved my last stylist and plan to find where she went and follow her. Gray and Graham can justify turnover however they please but it's not normal.
