Such a horrible experience. I booked an appointment for a full foil but instead I left with orange stripes in my hair and was not even lightened at all. I talked to one of the owners about the situation and she was no help at all and tried to tell me that it looked fine. I talked to 3 hair stylists after looking to fix it and they all were horrified and asked how i paid $240 for this. If you saw it you would think I haven't gotten my hair done in months. read more

Moriah at Salon Sorella is amazing! I'm a brunette going blonde and she talked me through all the steps which I loved. When she was choosing a glaze she brought her book of swatches over and explained the hair science going on during this process. I was in Franklin for a wedding and got a pedicure from Sorella. I made a 30 minute appointment and was quoted $20. I came in for my 11:30 appointment and nobody was at the front desk. I waited 5 minutes at the front before I popped my head inside and asked a stylist if there was someone out front. The stylist had to leave his client to go hunt someone down. When the receptionist came out, everything was so rushed. Because the manicurist was running late, they started me at the chair and I soaked for a good 20 minutes before my pedicure started. The manicurist was wonderful. She gets 5 stars from me. Other than running behind, she was great at her work, she was also funny and pleasant to be around. After chatting with her for quite a bit, come to find out that several of the salon's clients are from the New England Patriots. To be quite honest, I really don't care who their clientele is. The fact that they brought it up was kind of a letdown because it really shows where their priorities are. Serving who they believe to be more important than a random drop-in client. I went to check out at 12:30 and they charged me $37 instead of $20. Because they were running late, I was now behind and had to rush back to the hotel to get ready for the wedding and I didn't want to stand there and argue and just paid the $37. If I were to find myself in Franklin again, I would not return to this salon. read more

The cut wasn't bad, the color wasn't bad, it was everything surrounding the cut & color that was bad. New to town, I didn't feel like going into Boston to get my hair done so I tried the Salon. Where I used to live I got my hair done regularly, but I had gone a long time looking for someone I trust to do my hair, so it needed the cut bad. I also explained all this to they stylist. If I have to tell the stylist that the heat on the blowdryer is burning my neck, that tells me the stylist isn't paying attention. If I come out with scratches on my neck from the brush, yeah, the stylist isn't paying attention. If you are cutting my hair, I want you to pay attention. Random I know, but I figure if you are disinterested the first time you cut my hair that means you really don't care about keeping me as a client. I also got a the feeling that while the place looks nice & is new, it isn't really professionally run. Hanging out by the front desk gossiping with the receptionist by the owners kinda turns me off. I get the place was slow, but it just looks disinterested in what is going on to me. read more

Unimpressed. Called to let the receptionist/technicians know I was going to be 10 minutes late to my appointment, received a less than welcoming response. I didn't end up being late, I actually ended up right on time despite the fact that I believe in "early is on time and on time is late". I was with another girl so two appointments technically. I was taken, my friend had to wait regardless so we could've been late after all. All was fine and well until a full set and gel manicure took TWO hours. The technicians were more interested in gabbing than they were doing our nails. My nails came out halfway decent but I can still see the color I had on previously on the edges on my nails. Because the nails took TWO hours we were a half hour late to our pedicure appointment elsewhere. I had high hopes for this place because it's an actual salon, not an Asian place that I usually go to. Looks like I'll be sticking with my asians from now on! Won't be back.. Update - it has been exactly one week and the nails are already lifting. So much for the "salon" being better. read more

There are a few salons that go by Salon Sorella in Massachusetts. This review is for the one in Franklin. This salon did not meet my expectations. I booked specifically with Kelly because of her experience and expertise listed on their website. When I arrived, I was told by the woman who seemed to be the manager that Kelly had a death in her family and that another stylist would be taking me. Oh well, gee...I made arrangements because someone needs to be with my mother because of her age; I drove 25 minutes to get here; I am looking for someone with experience with curly hair, and didn't receive a phone call. But I confirmed the appointment at their request 36 hours beforehand. I guess the junior stylist will have to do. Overhearing the conversation at the reception desk, another stylist jumped up to take me on, and the manager spoke to him as if she were calling off a dog...right in front of me. It didn't seem kind nor professional to the outsider. I went with the replacement. She was very nice and you could tell she wanted to do a good job. But then she started with what is most likely the salon mandated spiel: That's bad for your hair. That's bad for your hair. Your split ends. We have wonderful products. Buy some. We have specials on color on Tuesdays... I ended up with what was essentially a trim and a blow out. It isn't bad, but I really needed a hair CUT and STYLE. I guess I will be continuing with the hair elastics for the next few weeks. I don't put the blame at all on the stylist for the reason I will not be returning. I put it on management. read more

Where do I begin? I went to Salon Sorella as I live in Franklin and was tired of driving to Boston and paying Newbury Street prices. What I wanted was a choppy bob cut, match my hair color to my roots and get a few purple streaks to frame my face. The purple I wanted would have looked so nice on the medium brown hair. The result? After ten hours at the salon (8 hours one day, two the next) and 3 different stylists trying to fix mistake after mistake, I come out with dark brown hair in the back, black hair in the front with large bright pink chunks of hair, a very uneven haircut and painful scalp from being severely overprocessed. Since this disaster, my hair has been consistently breaking. Also, the salon is filthy, the product tables are covered in dust and there are large hair balls everywhere. I'd rather schlep up to Boston and spend Newbury Street prices than to get my hair cut for free from this salon. read more

I got an ombre type hair dye today and a style from Terrance. Never had my hair dyed before, don't know much about it. I just knew I wanted some type of change. I gave Terrance very little direction and my hair looks AMAZING! It's really pricey, but in my opinion it was worth the money. read more

Love this place! I've known Jean and Carol for a while, followed them when they opened salon Sorella! They do amazing pedicures making sure they get all the spots which a lot of places miss. I've gotten waxes done there which they helped fix my eyebrows long ago (thank god) They are also incredibly clean. Will be using them for my sisters bridal party. I got my nails done here randomly because my friend recommended it, i thought i would enjoy getting my nails done but they came out terrible! The lady who did my nails seemed uninterested and careless. She left my nails streaky. They definately needed another coat. I got a pink color and its been a week and now my nails have faded to white. I am not happy. read more

Horrible salon with horrible staff, particularly the owner. Very unprofessional. The salon is also very overpriced. I went here for the first time in the middle of December and they messed up my hair 3 times - it was bright orange. They kept trying to fix it and eventually they told me there was nothing else they could do. So naturally I went to another salon and they were able to fix it. But I had to pay them as well. So after about 2 weeks of trying to get the owner to call me back so that I could request a refund, she finally called me back. I was all about handling it in a civil manner, however, she was nasty, yelled at me and hung up on me several times. I was in shock that someone who owns a business would treat a client like that, particularly one who was unhappy with their services. So now I'm out the $200 I paid for "foils", plus the tip I gave, plus the cost of the other salon and tip. I will definitely never EVER go back to this salon and I advise anyone who is thinking of trying it out, to save yourself from unprofessional staff and less than subpar, overpriced services, and go somewhere else. read more

I wanted something wild and different for my hair for Summer. I called them and they said that they had an expert colorist with lots of experience in the bold colors. So I scheduled a consultation. I took in 4 photos of what I wanted, from different angles and blown out differently. I talked with the stylist, we looked at the photos, and I asked her if she could do exactly what was in the photos, on my hair, without trashing the condition of my hair. She assured me that she could, that she had worked with those colors for years and that she could do what I wanted without damaging my hair. I scheduled the appointment. It took 5 hours. It looked absolutely NOTHING like the photos, and my hair was trashed. It cost $200. I went in the next day to speak with the owner and at least try to get my money back. I showed her the photos. She stood there and told me that in her opinion I got what was in the photos. She said that what was done to my hair was, "the stylist's interpretation of the photos," and that "What? All the colors are there". She went on to state that what was in the photos "probably wasn't even real hair". It was one contradiction after another as she just made excuses and lied to my face. I pointed out that if any of what she was saying was true, that the stylist should have told me at the consultation that she couldn't do what I was asking. That I had been lied to. She didn't care. I wasn't getting my money back, period, and piss off. The complete lack of accountability or ethical business practices displayed by the owner of this salon should be a warning to anyone. Run away, do not go here, at least not for anything special. You will regret it! read more
