Mary reached out to me beforehand to ask about styles and talk over the inspiration shots we sent. My daughter wanted a "cool" haircut, and I didn't want her to look too old just yet - Xandria talked to both of us, assessed her (long, curly) hair as it is and asked about how she wanted to move forward with styling and caring for her hair. Then she did a cut that balanced exactly what we both wanted and works perfectly for her hair type. She's happy with the bouncy layers that make her feel more grownup and she looks beautiful in an age-appropriate way, phew! More importantly, when Xandria asked her opinion at the end, she said "Perfect!" which has literally never happened. Xandria also chatted with my daughter and was very communicative through the whole cut, which really put her at ease. I'm so impressed with the customer service and skill at Salon Sparrow, and the price was really reasonable as well. Thank you, Xandria!

First of all, Brittney was so responsive and flexible about scheduling, helping me schedule my trials and being so unbelievably understanding as the number of appointments grew and shrank leading up to the wedding. We had our appointments inside the salon because we had a relatively small group and didn't want to deal with finding an appropriate space in one of the hotels. We are so glad we did--- It feels so warm and welcoming inside the salon, and we even were able to put out a breakfast food spread during the appointments! Brittney did our hair for the wedding day (we also got great blowouts/curls from Marisa and Michaela the day before!) and she is amazing---she is so so talented, and our hair stayed completely perfect for our entire 14+ hour event. Everyone had such different hair types and styles and everyone told me they got exactly what they were hoping for, if not far better! Nicole did our makeup and we similarly could not be more impressed! She knew exactly how to handle all of our concerns and made sure that everyone loved their look. We all just couldn't stop looking in the mirror! Just like our hair, the makeup did not budge throughout the day, even though we were in a hot and humid environment! Not only are all of the folks at Strand wonderfully talented, they are also just so nice!! Makes the environment completely unwelcoming. Speaks condescendingly. I had a family emergency/hospital visit one appointment and the next one I sadly tested positive for covid the night before. Everyone was understanding except Claudia. She went as far as to say "I don't even know if you will show up to your next appointment" I'm sorry I tested positive for covid the NIGHT before my appointment and didn't want anyone to get sick. It shows you this is not an understanding facility at all. Edit: The owner also sucks. Bad karma will come their way. They are and have been bullying a disabled person, which is me. Because I have memory problems. I have been nothing but polite. But I am disabled, because of my disability I cannot drive a car. And as you can see on this post, the owner is continuing to bully me. As I left a very honest review. The no shows she's talking about was a couple of me thinking that the Canton location was in Massachusetts, easy mistake. The others were because of my disability. I just don't think it's okay for them to come at me when I have such a hard time already with my disability. My disability put me in the hospital. Another reason for the no show. Then the next I received Covid. I will not be bullied for having a disability by this Owner. I've been bullied my whole life for it.
