WARNING!!!!! DO NOT BOOK WITH VIVIAN!! This was one of the worst salon experiences I've ever had. I booked with VIVIAN, asking for just a light trim on my ends and some blended layers. My hair was very long, past my waist, and I specifically said I did not want to lose length. Instead, she cut off a huge amount, left it uneven, and gave me extremely choppy layers. When I reached out afterward to ask for a refund, VIVIAN refused. She told me she wasn't going to give my money back because she "needs to pay rent," and said that even if I contacted the salon owner, it wouldn't matter because she works for herself. On top of that, she asked me to pay in cash, which makes it impossible to get my money back through my card. Now I'm stuck with a haircut that will take years to grow out. I'm writing this review to warn others so no one else ends up in the same position. read more

I answered a Facebook ad in an Orange County moms group for a free haircut....they needed a model with long hair and l needed a cut....so it was a good fit. The ad was pretty vague....I honestly thought I was helping out a beauty school student with their school hours, but it turned out that the stylist was a seasoned professional demonstrating cutting dry hair with some dry cutting shears. There was an entire class of hair stylists watching the demo so that was a little intimidating, but I was super happy with the entire experience. The cookies provided were so yummy and the ambiance of the salon was world class. I also found out that Tommy the owner, had a salon next to the Crab Cooker across the street that I used to go there over 20 years ago Thomas Edwards...what a small world. My hair went from stringy to way more voluminous. I had the stylist keep my length though. Thank you Salon Soco and Marissa! While long past due for a haircut, I expressed to her my interests and concerns. To have a freshened look without sacrificing length and consideration for the annoyance of a couple of conspicuous curls (cowlicks). She has plenty of patience and listens, while in return offering generous feedback as to face shape and hair type. I brought in a few inspo pictures and put trust in Vivian to let her do her magic. We cut nearly 3 inches of dry damaged hair for a newer and healthier look.
