I'm torn. I love my hair color and style! I loved Jessica and Fernando! I loved the convenient…read morelocation! Why am I torn, I guess my standards were stretched too thin. Maybe I'm too judgmental? Maybe I have a different set of expectations? Here is my story... I took a chance after reading so many positive yelp reviews and purchased a Groupon for a full highlight, deep conditioner, cut and style. I called to make an appointment and left a message. I waited three days. No call. I called back and left another message. Two days later I get a voicemail back to call them. I called AGAIN, this time got someone in the phone who said she would call me back and they didn't. If I hadn't already purchased the Groupon, I would have moved on, but since I had already paid for this, I was going to use it and now I'm already skeptical. I called again, spoke with someone and made my appointment for a mid week, mid morning appointment. My appointment day comes, I get to the salon 20 minutes early. They seemed off guard by this, but I was always told to come early for an appointment, especially when trying a new place. I also didn't know who my appointment was with. They told me the appointment before me was late so they may take me earlier. Ok, I have a seat and enjoyed the high energy music. They busy themselves on the computer. No one else is there. 15 minutes later, Jessica introduces herself to me and we get going. I'm quickly informed that toner was not included (aok) and it was suggested that I use a processor to cover my grays for $45. I declined and she went to mixing. When she came back, she suggested doing highlights and low lights to better blend for $20. I agreed. I appreciated her advice and it was totally a great move! Jessica was friendly and personable. The phone rang a few times and she would stop what she was doing to answer it. I have never been to a salon where someone would stop working on your hair to answer the phone or to chat with a sales guy who walked in. That was just weird. Soon I was ready to cook. Jessica said they got a new steam chair that she wanted to try on me. She fiddled with it, said it was on and then went back to the computer. After a few minutes, I asked if it was on since I felt or heard nothing. Francisco came to check on it, and sure enough, it wasn't on. Once it got going, it did feel nice and I can see the steam heat did wonders. I was under it for a while, and when I started to feel drips, I asked her to come check on me. At that point, I was done and ready to wash, style and dry. The place is clean and comfortable and they really know what they are doing. Like I said, the end result was probably one of the best colors and styles that I've had, just the process to get there was a little off. Maybe they were having an off day? I'd like to try them again and see...

I conveniently booked a color, cut and blow-dry appt. just one day prior with Jessica. The salon was clean, and Jessica used great products in my hair. She was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Jessica understood exactly how I wanted my hair to look, and it came out great. If you'll excuse me, I have to go look at my hair in the mirror again. ;) Muito obrigada, Jessica!

She has been cutting, styling and coloring my hair for over 20 years and I've yet to ever be disappointed. She knows exactly what cuts and colors will look good on me, and her suggestions are always the most flattering. When she first starting doing my hair, I was only 13 years old, and it was very convenient that she was located in the same town I lived in. As I got older I moved about 30 minutes away and refused to look for a closer hair stylist. The travel for me was worth it. And her new location, though farther away for me has not deterred my insistence that she be the only one who touches my hair. It is very conveniently located only a few minutes away from her old locale. She has done everything from perms (when they were stylish) to adding gorgeous blonde streaks to my otherwise dark hair to cutting off over 10 inches into a fantastic bob. Every time I leave there, I feel fantastic. She styled my hair for my wedding and I'm still receiving compliments on gorgeous my hair looked on that day. Paula never rushes through a cut or style to get to her next client. She will step back and analyze her work so far and see if there's something she can do to make it even better. As for my appointment yesterday, it was my first trim in about 6 months, just a wash, cut and blow-dry. Nothing fancy, but when I left, I felt amazing. On my way home, I had to do some errands. Well, I received two compliments from an employee and customer at Whole Foods. As well as a "Wow, your hair is so beautiful!" from a random stranger in Target. Being a mom of two little ones, these kinds of compliments don't come often, and I knew it was a direct result of my trip to Paula. She is a talented hair stylist who takes the time to know her clients and their styles, and is always keeping up with the latest trends and learning new tricks of the trade.

I've been getting my hair done by her for at least 6 or 7 years and have never had a bad experience. She always is up to date with the new styles and does EXACTLY what you ask for whether it be only cutting an inch or the right color you want. I highly recommend her to anyone that wants their hair done right and love the way it looks and feels. I posted a couple of pictures of my hair done by her today. She and Mae did an amazing job as always!

I've done very little to my hair over the years, so walking into extensions cold felt intimidating. Before I ever stepped into the salon, I sent photos and spoke with Noelle directly. She talked through a plan with me so I understood what was possible and what wasn't. That initial consult really helped set expectations. Extensions are not a small decision financially or emotionally. There are options, and there can be add-ons, so I would encourage anyone considering this to do their research and ask detailed questions about pricing and services ahead of time. It helps to feel informed. At the same time, this is art, and sometimes decisions evolve in the chair and the process is labor intensive, but so worth it. What I experienced was dedication. At one point I had two stylists working on me. They adjusted things based on my comfort level and what I wanted. I felt listened to. The entire salon was warm and accommodating and fun! It feels good to laugh. There are people there for all different reasons and no one felt out of place the salon has private rooms for discretion if needed. Starting with so little hair, I truly did not expect the result to look so much like my natural hair. But it does it's amazing! For the first time in a long time, I looked in the mirror and saw myself instead of what I had been through. I will absolutely recommend this to every woman struggling with hair loss it did more for my mental health than I think an entire year in therapy did. Noelle is serious about her craft. She wants her clients to leave happy and she truly goes the extra mile. I will remain a client long after the extensions come out, I am so happy to find this compassionate group of women.

The salon is inclusive and can accommodate diverse needs. In addition to typical hair and extensions, they specialize in hair loss including trichotillomania and alopecia, as well as hair for transgender folks! I was relieved to feel the welcoming environment, not just with hairstylists, but also the other customers who come to Noelle's for both hair and acceptance. An added benefit, Noelle and team also "edit" the hairpieces to cover and prevent trichotillomania hair pulling to help with stopping. Noelle did my hair (pic attached) and let's just say I came in with way less hair and left looking extremely cute. I recommend: ask as many questions as possible, look at some examples/photos from the stylists to choose the one you like, and be honest and straightforward about the hair that you want-- they will accommodate. Make sure to check with the salon in advance to find out if you can do something same-day or if a piece needs to be ordered. Overall, I am very glad that I took the risk and put Noelle in charge of my hair! Highly recommend.
