I had the worst experience of my life at this salon. I noticed a sign outside the salon when I was driving by that read $25.00 haircuts. I called the next day and made an appointment for a haircut. I spoke to the owner of the shop and asked her if they did dry haircuts, she said yes they did. When I arrived at the shop I was greeted by the owner. She seemed personable, however, a bit pushy and aggressive. She told me to take a chair and a stylist would be right with me. Within a few minutes a stylist came over and I told her the way I wanted my hair cut. I informed her that I'd like to have my hair cut dry. well she didn't want to cut it dry and argued with me for quite a while. I told her when I made the appointment the owner told me a dry cut was no problem. She insisted on washing my hair first, I informed her that I have very curly, coarse, frizzy hair and when it gets wet it's quite difficult to style. I had already flat ironed it before I got to the salon so it would be easier to style. She wouldn't listen so I finally gave in. She washed my hair and then began to cut it, well this was a disaster. She pinned the majority of the hair up in clips and began cutting the bottom part. This was taking so long, about 40 minutes just to cut the bottom part. I had explained to her that I had my sick dog in the car and would have to periodically check up on him. At this point I was getting nervous because she hadn't ever started cutting the rest of my hair yet. The owner came over cause she notice it was taking so long, she told me she was going to charge me an extra $15.00 because of the time involved, I couldn't believe it, I was so embarrassed and humiliated . It was clear the stylist didn't know what she was doing and I don't think it was all about my type of hair, I think she was just unskilled. The owner walked away and came back ten minutes later, she took over cutting my hair by just making a few snips here and there, my hair looked terrible. She said, o.k. you're done, I was so ashamed of how my hair looked, however, I just wanted to get out of there. When I went up to pay the owner said she was charging me an extra $15.00 for the cut because of the time involved. I reminded her about my request to have a dry cut and the stylist not honoring that request. She finally relented and I paid the fee plus I left a $10.00 tip. (don't ask me why) I ran out of there.
Later that evening I call Salon Sabhia and the owner was still there. I told her I really wasn't happy with this haircut and she agreed to redo my hair herself the next day. The next day I went back and she cut my hair again, just like before, a few snips here and there and she said it looks fine. It looked horrible, I just wanted to get out of there again, I left and believe me, I will never go back. read more
