I had a great experience with Adriana F. She was very attentive to what I wanted & made sure to use products that wouldn't upset my very sensitive skin. I'm very pleased with the result. She even said she'd honor the Groupon deal price of $32 for following visits! I have been back twice since this first tip and have been pleased both times. This latest time I had to bring in my own shampoo & conditioner, as I've discovered I'm allergic to ingredients in most products. Adriana didn't even blink, just followed my instructions to a T. She gave me a really nice layered cut, style with a flat iron, but didn't use any products since she didn't want me to have any reactions later in the day (I don't really even know what I'm allergic to, just that I can safely use about 3 products...). She honored the Groupon deal price for the first and second visit, but charged her regular fee of $45 on my third visit a month or so ago. This is not bad, especially for someone who actually listens to her customers & does everything she can to make their experience wonderful. They have removed the tacky "silk" from the ceiling, which was most definitely collecting dust and other gross things. The interior looks much cleaner and inviting now than before & it was nice before. I am extremely picky when it comes to my hair, mostly because I have had some pretty awful experiences with hair stylists acting like they know exactly what I want when it's not even close. I've been growing my hair out for a couple of years now and I didnt want to lose too much length ( even though I had mad split ends ) and I also wanted to dye my jet black hair platinum blonde! as you can probably imagine, I had some extreme requests and I was already anticipating some type of disaster to occur; it was definitely NOT the case. JANE FONDA was the smoking hot lady to turn me into a believer! she sat down with me and heard me out and listened to exactly what I wanted. we ended up going with heavy blonde highlights and long layers to add volume while nicking off some of my pesky split ends. she also offeres you some red wine to ease you into the transition of which I gladly accepted. she took at least 2-3 hours perfecting my hair and it turned out so much better than what I even pictured. my hair felt lighter and more voluminous and the color of the highlights was on point! I highly recommend salon purity and Jane Fonda. she is hands down the best stylist to ever touch my hair and she won't charge an arm and a leg!! read more

Cortney Paine at Salon Purity is the best. I've been coming to her for years for hair cuts and to get my hair colored. Her prices are just right and the head massages you get at the shampoo bowl will always keep you coming back for more! I can't recommend this salon and Cortney enough. I used to commute from LA all the way to Fullerton JUST to see Cortney. When you find a good hair stylist you just don't leave. The salon manager, Sue Lutfi recently did my wedding hair and extensions and again reasonable prices. One other aspect about this salon is the Eco-friendly products that are used. read more

I purchased a Groupon (on a whim) for a cut and style (for $32). I walked in there a little apprehensive, and a little intimidated. But that all changed as soon as l walked into the salon. I thought it was a great deal to purchase a voucher off Groupon, BIG mistake. The salon and stylist were very nice, I'm just not satisfied with my hair cut. I am very disappointed in the stylist I received for my first visit. She was a nice young girl but she did not listen to my specific instructions on what I did NOT want. I am HIGHLY dissatisfied with my cut, I feel ugly and saddened every time I look in the mirror. Unfortunately, I will never return to the salon. My hair was finally at a stage of length, there is nothing I can do at this point but wait for it to grow. Lesson to stylist- PLEASE listen with your ears open!! I got the GROUPON deal for $32 wash, cut, blowout, and style. I went with one of my gal friends on a Wednesday morning, it was pretty slow so i was in luck! :) Michelle was my stylist and she listened to my request. She offered me either water, coffee, tea, or wine to start off. Then she washed my hair with paul mitchell tea tree in lavender (it smelled sooo good that i bought one later). I asked for a more full/volume look, i wanted to keep my length as much as possible but willing to cut off the dead ends; i also wanted it to be versatile, and bangs for the fall look :) See photo. One thing that I also liked is that she didnt use any product like hair spray to finish my look. I hate it when stylist pile on hair product after a hair cut. I purchased a same day use Groupon and gave the salon a call to set up my appointment. They were very personable on the phone and informed me that in the future they would honor the Groupon price, I didn't need to purchase it ahead of time. The location is a little odd and I understand why they're utilizing Groupon to bring clientele in. The salon is upstairs in a fairly non-descript office building. The interior is decorated nicely and they immediately offer you water, tea or coffee while you wait. My appointment was with Michelle and she was sweet and listened carefully to me as I described what I wanted. The shampoo experience was relaxing. She gave me a nice head massage and I could've easily fallen asleep. We chatted during the cut and I found out that the name "Salon Purity" comes from the fact that they use mostly organic products and are against using carcinogenic chemicals in their products (i.e. Brazilian Blowout that contains formaldehyde gas). I LOVE that and I'm happy to support a salon that is environmentally conscious. The only reason why I'm not giving this review 5 stars is because I didn't get the exact cut that I wanted, HOWEVER, that could be partly my fault. It's possible I didn't explain myself as well as a I could have. I will return to Michelle and Salon Purity for my next cut, work on my communication skills, and hopefully update my review to 5 stars. read more

There's potential for 5 stars :) Odessa has been my family hair stylist for years!!! We've pretty much follow her where ever she goes. There's no one that can cut my husband, son, daughter and my hair to our satisfaction, except Odessa. She now also does facials at Salon Purity, and she rocked!!! I didn't want to leave as I was so relaxed. As for the Salon's atmosphere or physical features, I'd give it a four star for now. It's relaxing, spacious and well decorated. I was in need of a haircut and I saw the Groupon Now deal for a wash,cut, and style. I checked out their site and read some reviews and they seemed great! I called and asked for a same day appointment and Adriana said no problem! My appointment was at 2:30 which I arrived right on time. Adriana who would be cutting my hair was with another client and said it would be a few minutes. She offered me water or tea, (no wine, =( bummer) I took a seat and looked around at the relaxing ambiance read a few magazines. When I looked at my phone it was 5 minutes to 3pm! I started to get a little impatient, but finally she was ready for me. I told her what I wanted and we got to work. The shampoo was nice, nothing special. She dried and began to flat iron my hair. The fat iron was not very good, coming from a person that flat irons my hair just about everyday, I know a good flat iron. It felt like it was taking forever to straighten. Anyway, she then cut my hair, nothing crazy just a few layers. She was really nice and personable. Overall a nice salon, but nothing really blew me away. read more

Odessa gave me a completely new look today and I love it. She was cautious since I really wanted to chop my hair off so we got there gradually. The cut is totally me and the color is fantastic. I love Courtney! She has been doing my hair for...(doing the math...) around 15 years(?). Her consistently good cuts, the great head massages, and the great prices keep me coming back, even though i have to drive 30 minutes to get to her. It's well worth the drive. Every once in a while over the years, i've tried stylists that are closer to home, but their cuts don't seem to last as well and my hair just wasn't as happy. I also take my teenage daughter to see her. Even she can tell the difference with a Courtney cut. "Mom, she must be really good because my hair always looks better when she does it." I have debated whether or not to write this update ... obviously I decided to share. I went back for my 2nd hair cut with Michelle and was super disappointed. I made my appointment days in advance, hired a babysitter and planned for my "Mom's Night Out". I showed up a few minutes early for my appointment but Michelle was running late - after waiting for 20 minutes, I went up to her and explained that I had another appointment after my hair cut and I would come back to the salon if she wouldn't be able to fit me in. Michelle said it wouldn't be a problem and told me to wait. I waited another ten minutes before she finished with her other client. So now we're at least 30 minutes late for my scheduled appointment time. Just as I thought might happen, Michelle rushed through my hair cut, giving me a really choppy and uneven cut. I think it was obvious to both of us that she rushed it and that it didn't turn out well. At the risk of sounding rude, the cut looked amatuerish. She should have been more professional and agreed that she was running late and wouldn't be able to perform to the best of her abilities given our short amount of time. She offered to have me come back to fix certain things. (Don't get me wrong, she is really nice) Honestly, I don't want to pay a babysitter again, to take a chance on another bad hair cut. I recently had my hair done by Adri. She was fantastic! She did such an amazing job! I had very drabby brown hair color and she brightened my base color and put some gorgeous highlights and It just brought my whole face to life ! She was also incredibly friendly and very personable. The salon is cozy and warm from all the little special things they do to make you feel at home from the assorted hot teas, fluffy robes, wine, magazines, comfy chairs to the sleek and sexy design of the salon. Bought a groupon now last Saturday to get my daughters haircut and they were so nice when I called to book appt. I had bought another salons groupon now and when I called that salon I was told they had no one that could honor it until the next week which kills the whole groupon now purpose, thank goodness I found salon purity groupon now and took her in to see MIchelle Michelle was a half hour behind but honestly, when you have a trendy 16 year old with a new demand everyday, I was just happy to be paying the 32 dollars and getting in done that day rather than having to wait and listen to her whine any more about her mortifying dead ends. The salon is out of the way but easy to find and small and quiet, reminds me of a hole in the wall food place that you find and fall in love with instantly. Its actually nice not to have a lot of hustle and bustle like you get at a big salon, we sat on the comfy couch looked at magazines and enjoyed the wait. Now the cut...OMG, I could not stop staring at my daughter the rest of the night, it looked that amazing. She has very long hair and always likes the long layers that flip out a bit at the ends. I swear, every strand fell so pretty in place, those long layered cuts can be so tricky and usually it turns out to look good usually but kinda flat, this cut did not look like that at all!! the ends flipped under and over all the way down her back and the front was smoothed under falling just below her chin, she has no bangs. My daughter and I are both so into hair, make up and everything girly and are not always easily impressed but this experience has been amazing, Michelle is our hair girl for sure! I called today to book a cut for myself and Michelle told me that she would do my hair for the same 32 even though they are no longer using groupons. I was willing to pay the full price for sure since she did so great with my daughter's hair. I would give this salon a try, just be willing to wait or get an early appt maybe. read more

I discovered this awesome salon by rummaging thru Groupon looking for a quick style for my bachelorette party. Setting up an appointment was super fast and easy. Michelle was waiting for me (which is a big plus for me) and quickly sat me down and asked me what I wanted. She did exactly as I asked and took the extra time to curl my hair. IT LOOKED AMAZING. My hair stayed curled the entire night (My appointment was at one, the party was at nine) and everyone complimented on how great I looked. I will be coming back here soon. I was disappointed I could't get a full on haircut (I am getting extensions next week for my wedding) but this place is nothing short of awesome. read more

Courtney the stylist and Ruby the concierge are great. Hadn't had a hair cut in a few years, but Courtney got me all shaped polished and my frizz is now the curls and waves it should be. Can't complain about anything, I used to pay a lot more to be judged and shamed for keeping my grays and long hair but Courtney didn't make me feel bad for being an old hippie. I'm very sensitive to the smell of hair products and chemicals, this is the first time I've left a salon without smelling like a mishap in the perfume aisle at Walmart.
