After visiting Salon Plush for the third time yesterday, I felt like I had to write a review. I came to this salon for the first time in January, unhappy with the color and condition of my hair due to my prior salon's treatment. Missy was super nice and thorough and took the time to discuss my hair with me, make suggestions and listen to my concerns. She and Gia were so kind and did everything they could to make me feel comfortable, and I was really happy with my immediate results. Now that I have been here for the third time and I feel like what my old salon did to my hair color is behind me, I can truly say that my hair has never looked better. Missy is a master with color and cuts and Gia is so amazing and gentle with blowouts and styling that not only did I love my hair, but I also felt like I had just had a massage. I felt so much happier and better about myself when I left the salon, and I received more compliments on my hair yesterday than I did in all the years of going to my old salon. As a bonus, the shop itself is lovely, immaculately clean and fun. Missy has given me helpful tips as to how to care for and style my hair at home, has recommended products and has been honest with me about cut, color and styling suggestions to suit my hair and face. Salon Plush is the best hair salon. Missy the owner is a hair stylist you can trust. She always asks what I want and gives feedback that is crucial to my hair type. She takes her time and never rushes. Although I have shorter hair which she is amazing at styling I have been at the salon while she is styling long hair. She is also known for her highlighting and coloring expertise. The salon is immaculate and they are always show concern for their client's needs. I highly recommend this salon! I just moved to Merrick. After a long move and not getting the best highlight job a few months ago elsewhere, I decided to try Plush based on reviews and it's close proximity to my new home. I saw really good reviews for Missy and I have really been looking for someone who can do icey blonde highlights well. I haven't been having the best luck and my hair had bad roots and was yellowing. Like, it was really bad and I wasn't sure if anyone could even fix it well. I booked an appointment with Missy online, for New Years Eve no less. I got a call from the super friendly salon coordinator to schedule me for a better spot which I appreciated. I ended up getting an earlier appointment which was great and I'm glad she worked with me on the time. Missy took my hair and transformed it with awesome baby lights (small highlights) to blend my dramatic roots and soften the look. My hair came out looking great and I appreciate the time she spent making it perfect (I have thick hair so I always feel kinda bad ) My hair is now the cool, even blonde I was hoping for and I have found my new salon! Missy and the rest of the staff are also super friendly which I really appreciate when I go to a salon. (sometimes its hard to find a friendly staff at salons ). Shayla was my shampoo person and was super personable and helped me relax at the shampoo bowl. She gave me an epic scalp massage I went to Courtney for my blowout at the end and honestly wasn't expecting much because my hair is super short but it came out looking so cute and held up well. I will be booking another blowout with her soon. The salon itself is modern and very nice looking. Everyone was wearing masks for COVID precautions. I saw the girls wiping down and sanitizing the seats every time someone got up. Overall the salon is well kept and clean-very inviting. I don't even know where to begin! My hair journey has been loooong. And painful. I am pretty confident in saying I have been to the majority of hair salons in Nassau, a decent amount in Suffolk too. The owner Missy reached out to me via email and I decided to give it another go at this salon. I had already gone to a different salon to cut 6 inches off but there was a band of layers from the Salon Plush cut that the new stylist tried to blend in and it only looked worse. Missy was very focused and assessed the damage with a keen eye. She knew exactly how to cut my hair without getting scissor happy and I came out looking better than going in. The band of hair will continue to grow out and hopefully I can put all of this behind me for good as I continue to cut the layers out. Salon Plush is amazing. I moved to LI from DC in 2021 and had been going to the same stylist in DC for 8 years, so I was nervous that I would not find somewhere in LI that was as good. I tried several salons in the area and was disappointed again and again. Until I found Salon Plush. Missy and Gia are incredible. I have had extensions since 2018 and they have NEVER looked as good as they do now. I've been coming to Missy for years now and couldn't be more thrilled that she opened her own place! I came a few years back to her after going from blonde to brunette and regretting it. She's given me my blonde hair back, thank god! When I used to get haircuts at my old salon I just thought it was the norm for your hair to go through an awkward stage. One side different than the other, but not with Missy's haircuts. She's great with Long and short hair and will work with what you like, I like long layers. The salon is really big and bright, the first salon I've been to with good lighting. Missy is in her element here and she hired a fantastic team. I recently came for a basebreak, hair ritual and a blowout by Lucy. Hair came out great! I'll be back in January for full head highlights so stay tuned for a photo. Loved my experience at Plush!!! A great salon with great people. I went to Salon Plush earlier today for a blowout with curls. It was my first time there and you can see how much salon cares about client safety by taking temperature and keeping everything very clean. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcome and were very courteous. I did not have to wait long to meet Noah who was my stylist. He was so sweet and charming and was very attentive to the type of style I wanted and problems that I find with my hit so my hair style could be the best possible. Throughout the whole process Noah and I had a great conversation and staff continuously walked by to make sure everything was going well with appointment. Literally the head manager of the place and her stylists recommended a purple conditioner that turned my hair back to brown. Switched to a professional stylist and she was stunned. Literally begged me not to use it because it would ruin my hair. Cant believe they actually did that. Just super unprofessional and shows they don't actually know what they are doing. Oh I did I mention I left the place hating my hair on top of it? Paid 400 only for it to fade out in 3 weeks and they didn't even do the color I want Bc they were scared. When it comes to my nails, hair, and makeup I'm always on the look out for new spots/things to try; but since I've met Victoria I have stopped my search and will not allow anyone else to touch my hair.
