Sara & Odete have won my business for life! I came here recently for a root touch-up and bayalage. Making the appointment was easy - I texted with Sara to schedule but you can also schedule online. When I showed up for my appointment I was told Sara's car had broken down therefore she was running very late. Instead of turning me away and telling me to reschedule completely, Odete swept into action and did my roots. We had a tough time finding a color match (since my previous color was done at a different salon) but she went above and beyond to perfectly match and she did! Sara ended up making it into work right before my rinse therefore we decided to reschedule the bayalage. I came back the following week and everyone remembered me by name (even Oksana the nail lady)! Sara meticulously did my bayalage and made sure I was comfortable as I sat for 3 hours to get the perfect highlights put into my hair. Everything turned out perfectly and the blowout was great, as well. I cannot wait to come back here for touch-ups and color going forward. read more

I hired Sara to do my hair for my wedding day. I went in for a trial, showed her a couple of pictures and nailed it on the first try. A week before my wedding I had a complication with my makeup artist, so I decided the easiest and best thing would be to just have Sara do my makeup since she was going to be there anyway. I saw some pictures of her work, but I wasn't able to fit in a trial with her beforehand. She came on my wedding day and absolutely NAILED my hair and makeup. I showed her a few photos of sample makeup, and she created a unique look for me that I've never seen on anyone and and completed complimented my whole look and personality. I loved my makeup so much I didn't want to take it off at the end of the night! She used airbrush makeup on me(she even airbrushed my arms and bank) and it was all just so flawless! I would absolutely recommend Sara to anyone! She is a dreaming magician with hair and makeup!!!!! read more

I wouldn't recommend going here. I had been getting my hair cut by Sara for the past 2 years. Nothing crazy, just long layers, would get a trim every 3-4 months. I've been satisfied with what I've received so far. However, I went in today for my appointment. I waited about 20 mins and asked Sara how long the wait would be and she said just 5 more mins. Another 10 mins past and they bring me to get my hair washed but I sit there for another 10 mins. I'm pretty pissed at this point but I really needed my hair cut because I wanted it to look nice for trying on bridal dresses this weekend. I get my hair washed and get moved to the chair and wait another 5 mins. I've waited 45 mins so far! I would have just left pissed and gotten over it but she barely even cut my hair! I asked for 1.5-2 inches cut off and she actually didn't cut any length off at all she just relayered it. She only took maybe 10-15 mins to cut my hair and blow dried it stick straight against my head when she typically adds volume. I will definitely find somewhere else that values their customers and treats them with respect. read more

Sara is amazing- I've been going to her for over 6 years from everything from color to highlights to getting my makeup done when I was a bridesmaid to the keratin. She's truly amazing and super talented- I wish she'd open up a salon in NYC so I didn't have to go all the way back to LI to get my hair done. I haven't found anyone like her in NYC . read more

Sara Odete - Yay - Hair Stylists Near Me - Massapequa, New York

Ive been going to Sarah for years and there is not enough amazing things i can say about her. I have very thick, coarse hair that I've been determined to make the "perfect blonde" (which is very tough to do!). Until i found Sara, i was extremely unhappy with just about anyone i went to. Despite living in the city for years, i would take the hour trip just to see Sara, as no one else could replicate her "perfect blonde." She is extremely dedicated to her work, and while extremely professional, also very sweet and fun. Sara has not only become my hairstylist over the years, but also a friend. The salon is truly a hidden gem in LI, and by far much better than anyone i went to in NYC. The entire staff (esp Sara & Odete!) is extremely knowledgeable, truly talented, and offers superb service. I vow, no matter where i live, to never go anywhere else! (As a side note, ive also gotten my hair cut & deep conditioned by Sara and equally love that service. She has done my makeup as well and made me look & feel like a million dollars. Sara can do it all and is a miracle worker!) read more

INCREDIBLE! I have been getting my hair done by Sara for years and am always amazed at what she can do with it, including cut and color. Her blowouts are amazing; I always walk out of the salon feeling confident about the way I look. She is dependable and honest with me whenever I show her the style that I am going for. I look forward to my appointments with her! In addition to hair coloring and styling, I have had bridesmaid hair and makeup done by Sara and Odete twice. The makeup and hair styles lasted a full day! I woke up the next morning and my hair looked like it had just been done. Sara does airbrush to ensure that the makeup stays all night, no need for touch-ups! Each time I received compliments all night. I HIGHLY recommend their services! read more

Great salon. I got my highlights done there after another salon messed it up and sara fixed it and did a fantastic job. I will be coming back read more

I got a haircut from Sara and she was great. She asked me several questions beforehand just to make sure she knew exactly what i wanted-Did i want long layers or short layers. Did i want my bangs straight or not so straight etc... She was very specific and cut my hair EXACTLY how i asked her to. I loved that she cut a little of my bangs first and said "Do you like that style"? I said yes so she continued to cut to my desired length. She wasn't very chatty which is a plus because i hate small talk and i love taking naps when someone is doing my hair. I will return to Sara. read more

How can you describe the ONLY hair experience you will ever need from now on? Well, Sarah has been my stylist for about 12 years now.I followed her from her original shop in East Meadow to the Levittown salon, because along the way, trying occasional other stylists never did me any good. Sarah is as true a professional colorist and stylist as it gets. She thoroughly understands and is able to explain the science of color when asked, and she does it in a way that you can understand. If you think color in a drug store box is good for every head, think again".Not all hair is the same," explains Sarah, who has been schooled by Loreal, and she is correct. Sarah takes the time to analyze your hair and match the correct product to the correct hair type. This is what you pay a good colorist for. This is what you get when Sarah colors and highlights or lowlights your hair. I can't say enough about her precision haircutting. I have gotten so many compliments on my style. She knows what is chic and "in," but she also knows what looks good on you, so you know you have someone in your corner when you go in for a haircut. I can't say enough about Odette who works with Sarah. From the minute you walk in, she is genuinely happy to see you and you are promptly caped and escorted to your chair. Her shampoos are so relaxing and her head massages are wonderful. Odette is a very skillful colorist also. She has done my touch-ups many times and never disappoints. This styling and coloring duo is as good as it gets. Do yourself the favor and give them a try. You'll be hooked too! Delete review read more

I no longer need to travel all the way into Manhattan for a cut and color because I think I finally found an amazing stylist near me. I've been meaning to come here for awhile and So glad I finally did. Starting a new job soon so was in need of a makeover and Sara and Odete, did a magnificent job with my cut and balayage. This is probably the best balayage I've done to date. The colors came out exactly how I wanted and loved the way she styled it afterwards. I have thick hair so soft wavy curls never really worked in my favor but Sara did an excellent job giving me those soft curls without looking too puffy. I wish I knew how to do those curls at home. Overall, the salon is very spacious and clean. Unlike some salons, it doesn't have that chemical smell which is a plus. read more

I Love Sara! I hired her for my wedding and she did a fantastic job! I wasn't sure what I wanted exactly but her recommendations were really great and suited my face really well. She was very accommodating before the wedding and especially the day of! My hair looked Hollywood perfect throughout the entire day. It was an outside wedding with lots of humidity just to give you an idea what I was up against. She gave me great tips that I still use today and made the while experience so much better. I recommended her to my cousin for her wedding and she loved her as well! I'd give her 10 stars if I could!!!!!! read more

A hidden gem in Levittown! Cute salon, amazing staff and superb service. I've been seeing Sara for a few years for haircuts and color...she's got the magic touch. When it comes to going out for a night on the town, her blowouts make me feel like a million bucks. One day I'll get around to trying out one of the other stylists, but as luck would have it, Sara has always been 'my girl'. read more

Sara was wonderful! I can confidently say it was the best cut I've ever gotten. It was my first time going to her (found on yelp) and I wanted a healthy cut and some shape. Sara cut an inch, let me decide if I wanted to go more and when I said yes, was totally fine making the adjustments. She listened to how I style my hair and what my end goal was and was adjusting and adding her professional opinion along the way. Most importantly, I felt totally at ease with a true professional that cares about the client. A++ Sara, thank you! read more

I've been happy with all the services I've received from Sara. So far I've gone to her for a haircut, clipping in my long extensions, a color, and a curly blowout/style with my clip-in extensions. She's even offered to style prep my extensions if I bring them to her a few days before I plan on coming in for a curly blowout, so that she could curl the extensions and have them sit to really hold the curls better. Her prices are fair and I don't feel ripped off after walking out of there. Both Sara & Odete are really sweet. read more

Sara & Odete....thank you, i finally have a home for my hair and i can stop salon hopping!! Sara is truly an artist. I had a very long grown out roots from a bad dye job, i mean my roots were over 6 inches long and she took one look and said, i know exactly what to to....she did a Balayage color process on me. She literally painted on highlights strategically so i would not have the typical striped highlight look, it was going to look organic. wow!! i love my color!! she made it look natural and blond and happy!! i went back again for a trim after two months and had another relaxing and fun experience. Sara is truly a professional and well educated on the new hair trends and uses really great products!! LOVE!! read more

The salon is extremely clean, the staff is super attentive and Sara is very creative and helpful. I always seek Sara's opinion about the type of cut or treatment to do, she is extremely knowledgable and always does a superb job. I came here several times for cuts, blow dry and keratin. I was always happy with everything she done. I always worry about stylist cutting too much, but Sara always manages to keep my length but give it a perfect new and fresh look.
