Sara & Odete have won my business for life! I came here recently for a root touch-up and bayalage. Making the appointment was easy - I texted with Sara to schedule but you can also schedule online. When I showed up for my appointment I was told Sara's car had broken down therefore she was running very late. Instead of turning me away and telling me to reschedule completely, Odete swept into action and did my roots. We had a tough time finding a color match (since my previous color was done at a different salon) but she went above and beyond to perfectly match and she did! Sara ended up making it into work right before my rinse therefore we decided to reschedule the bayalage. I came back the following week and everyone remembered me by name (even Oksana the nail lady)! Sara meticulously did my bayalage and made sure I was comfortable as I sat for 3 hours to get the perfect highlights put into my hair. I hired Sara to do my hair for my wedding day. I went in for a trial, showed her a couple of pictures and nailed it on the first try. A week before my wedding I had a complication with my makeup artist, so I decided the easiest and best thing would be to just have Sara do my makeup since she was going to be there anyway. I saw some pictures of her work, but I wasn't able to fit in a trial with her beforehand. She came on my wedding day and absolutely NAILED my hair and makeup. I showed her a few photos of sample makeup, and she created a unique look for me that I've never seen on anyone and and completed complimented my whole look and personality. I loved my makeup so much I didn't want to take it off at the end of the night! She used airbrush makeup on me(she even airbrushed my arms and bank) and it was all just so flawless! I wouldn't recommend going here. I had been getting my hair cut by Sara for the past 2 years. Nothing crazy, just long layers, would get a trim every 3-4 months. I've been satisfied with what I've received so far. However, I went in today for my appointment. I waited about 20 mins and asked Sara how long the wait would be and she said just 5 more mins. Another 10 mins past and they bring me to get my hair washed but I sit there for another 10 mins. I'm pretty pissed at this point but I really needed my hair cut because I wanted it to look nice for trying on bridal dresses this weekend. I get my hair washed and get moved to the chair and wait another 5 mins. I've waited 45 mins so far! I would have just left pissed and gotten over it but she barely even cut my hair! I asked for 1.5-2 inches cut off and she actually didn't cut any length off at all she just relayered it. She only took maybe 10-15 mins to cut my hair and blow dried it stick straight against my head when she typically adds volume. I will definitely find somewhere else that values their customers and treats them with respect. read more

Ive been going to Sarah for years and there is not enough amazing things i can say about her. I have very thick, coarse hair that I've been determined to make the "perfect blonde" (which is very tough to do!). Until i found Sara, i was extremely unhappy with just about anyone i went to. Despite living in the city for years, i would take the hour trip just to see Sara, as no one else could replicate her "perfect blonde." She is extremely dedicated to her work, and while extremely professional, also very sweet and fun. Sara has not only become my hairstylist over the years, but also a friend. I got a haircut from Sara and she was great. She asked me several questions beforehand just to make sure she knew exactly what i wanted-Did i want long layers or short layers. Did i want my bangs straight or not so straight etc... She was very specific and cut my hair EXACTLY how i asked her to. I loved that she cut a little of my bangs first and said "Do you like that style"? I said yes so she continued to cut to my desired length. She wasn't very chatty which is a plus because i hate small talk and i love taking naps when someone is doing my hair. I will return to Sara. read more

I no longer need to travel all the way into Manhattan for a cut and color because I think I finally found an amazing stylist near me. I've been meaning to come here for awhile and So glad I finally did. Starting a new job soon so was in need of a makeover and Sara and Odete, did a magnificent job with my cut and balayage. This is probably the best balayage I've done to date. The colors came out exactly how I wanted and loved the way she styled it afterwards. I have thick hair so soft wavy curls never really worked in my favor but Sara did an excellent job giving me those soft curls without looking too puffy. I wish I knew how to do those curls at home. Overall, the salon is very spacious and clean. Unlike some salons, it doesn't have that chemical smell which is a plus. read more

I Love Sara! I hired her for my wedding and she did a fantastic job! I wasn't sure what I wanted exactly but her recommendations were really great and suited my face really well. She was very accommodating before the wedding and especially the day of! My hair looked Hollywood perfect throughout the entire day. I've been happy with all the services I've received from Sara. So far I've gone to her for a haircut, clipping in my long extensions, a color, and a curly blowout/style with my clip-in extensions. She's even offered to style prep my extensions if I bring them to her a few days before I plan on coming in for a curly blowout, so that she could curl the extensions and have them sit to really hold the curls better. I had a very long grown out roots from a bad dye job, i mean my roots were over 6 inches long and she took one look and said, i know exactly what to to....she did a Balayage color process on me.
