When I entered, no one greeted or acknowledged me. I eventually asked if anyone had availability and was told that all of the stylists had left for the day. I was asked to leave my number and told that "maybe someone will call you." I left my number but never heard back. I later came across Michelle's Instagram and contacted her directly. She was able to book me for a haircut a few days later. When I arrived for my appointment, there was a woman at the front desk on the phone who looked at me but didn't greet or acknowledge me. Since it was my first appointment there, I wasn't sure whether I needed to check in or wait. Even after she got off the phone, I still wasn't acknowledged. I sat down and noticed Michelle nearby on her phone. After sitting there for a couple of minutes without anyone saying anything, I finally got up and asked her if she was Michelle. Michelle was nice during the actual service, and I left her a generous tip. However, once I got home and looked more closely at my haircut, I noticed some long, thick sections in the front that I wanted adjusted. I messaged her and politely asked if she could fix them, even offering to pay extra if necessary. I never received a response. I ultimately went to Pomp Salon to have my hair corrected, and the difference in the customer experience was noticeable. I came in with reference photos and clearly communicated what I wanted. I had previously received three pixie cuts from this stylist that I absolutely loved, which is why I trusted her with my hair again. Unfortunately, this appointment was a completely different experience. The haircut was incredibly choppy, uneven, and significantly shorter than I asked for. The back of my head was cut so short that my scalp was visibly exposed, leaving bald spots. This was not the haircut I requested, and the result was devastating. During the appointment, I expressed my concerns and explicitly told the stylist to stop cutting my hair. She continued anyway. My hair was left so short and uneven that there was no realistic way to correct it without cutting it even shorter. Ultimately, I felt I had no choice but to shave my head because of how badly my hair had been cut. I went in trusting someone I had previously had positive experiences with and left feeling like I didn't recognize myself. This has been genuinely heartbreaking, and I never expected to have to shave my head after a haircut. I understand that not every haircut turns out exactly as expected. However, there is a difference between a haircut not matching someone's preferences and a cut being so uneven and poorly executed that someone feels they have to shave their head afterward. Listening when a client explicitly asks you to stop should be a basic expectation. After leaving the salon, I reached out multiple times to resolve this privately. I also messaged the stylist directly through Instagram. My messages have been read, but I have received no response, no resolution, and no refund. I gave the salon multiple opportunities to address my concerns privately before writing this review. I was hoping for basic communication and accountability, but I have been met with silence instead. I paid $95 for a haircut that left me devastated and ultimately led me to shave my head. I believe other clients deserve to know what happened and how my concerns have been handled afterward. I trusted this stylist because of my previous positive experiences, making this outcome even more disappointing. At this point, I simply want to share my experience honestly and move on. He was screaming and dreading his hair cut, but of course Trang was able to soothe him and he was all smiles when his cut was done! They have the cute cars for toddlers to sit in (with straps) along with a video playing to keep the LO distracted! And of course, every hair cut comes with a lollipop! :) My son loves coming here for their cute little play area! He always begs to stay longer after his cut :)
