The ladies were incredibly kind, personable, and welcoming. They made us both feel so comfortable, and the scalp massages were absolutely amazing! What made this visit especially meaningful to me was how I was treated. Living with chronic illness has changed my hair over the years, and it's something I've struggled with emotionally. For the first time in many years, I sat in a salon chair without feeling embarrassed or ashamed of my hair. Not once did I feel judged or uncomfortable. The ladies treated me with genuine kindness, compassion, and respect. They probably don't even realize how much that meant to me. Being able to share this experience with my daughter made it even more special. We both left feeling beautiful, relaxed, and cared for. Sometimes it's not just about getting your hair done. Unfortunately the color didn't land where we discussed, which is why I can't give more stars. I came in with specific inspiration photos for a soft, blended beige brunette balayage -- something lived-in that would grow out with no harsh lines. The result came out much chunkier and lighter than expected, with a pretty defined line at the roots that's especially noticeable when I pull my hair back. When I reached out, Mikayla was responsive and offered a correction with a root smudge and toner, which I appreciated. My hesitation was that those are exactly the techniques that would have achieved the look I originally asked for -- so it was hard to feel confident a redo would get me there. I asked twice why those techniques were not included as part of the initial service and both times my question was dodged with the offering of coming in for correction. More coloring isn't something I feel comfortable with while I deal with fragile postpartum hair. I asked if a partial refund was possible as a middle ground and unfortunately we weren't able to work something out.

It took her about 5-10 mins to set up and she had her own chair for me and a full beautiful setup with all her makeup/etc. I can't say enough great things about Janel. She was very professional throughout the entire process - from my initial inquiry all the way through the actual make-up application. I had sent her an inspiration photo prior to our appointment and she nailed the look I was going for. Her studio, make-up and tools were all very clean and of high quality. I received so many compliments on my make-up that day and am very impressed at the fact that my make-up stayed flawless for OVER 12 HOURS. What I had appreciated the most about my experience with Janel was how comfortable I felt around her. He was very friendly and reassuring that he could help me with the look I was going for. A week later I had my appointment. Walking to into this place was stunning. Beautiful wall art and bright colored walls. I loved it. I showed John some pictures and he explained to me the type of cut I wanted. Every step of the way he explained what he was doing and always checked in with me about the length. He helped me style my hair two different ways. I have never had a stylist check in with me the way he did, he made me feel very comfortable in the length and style. Also the surrounding staff was also as nice as John.
