I cannot thank Caitlin enough for her miraculous work on me! I went in asking for a very dimensional caramel look with money pieces and as you can see, she did just that! Upon arrival, she greeted me and throughout my time there, she was so sweet and attentive. If I wasn't sure about something, she would explain it to me and I felt so comfortable within the whole 6 1/2 hours session. With that said, she never once made me feel like she was rushing me or the process. Instead, she took her time and even apologized for the long session, in which I told her I didn't mind it at all. That just shows how sweet and kind she was. She even told me if I was hungry, I can DoorDash and eat while she worked on my hair! That was the best part. Haha! Overall, She made me feel like a total princess BOOK WITH HER IG: hairbycaits Thanks a bunch Cait!

I have been going to Salon Avanti for a few months now. I go every week to get a blowout by Anali. She does an amazing job and styles it any way I want it that night. She even does a deep conditioning mask while washing my hair and it's included in the cost of her blow outs. When Anali gets done with my hair it doesn't just look great, it smells great and feels great...so soft and silky. I highly recommend this salon it's clean and I've never had any issues getting an appointment with Anali. She is committed to her clients and has never canceled on me either. Anali is the girl for the job!

I recently went to get my hair done by Cait about a week ago so I'm a little late. Cait was recommended to me by a friend and of course after seeing her work on her instagram page I booked with her. Let me tell you she was on time, doesn't double book and actually cares about how you treat your hair. She also recommended some products so that I can maintain my hair. I am genuinely so unsastisfied with my balayage that I booked with Michelle. My hair was originally virgin black hair, and I wanted an ash brown balayage where the majority of my hair would be ash brown (I've attached a picture of my inspiration picture). After spending a little bit over 7 hours in the salon, my hair turned out to be looking the exact same and not a bit brown at all. There was no visible difference in my hair besides the haircut. I liked the haircut but truly what I came for was the balayage. I am just so upset that I was here for so long just for it to be almost identical in color to the way it was when I came in. I had plans for afterwards because I didn't think that it would take so long, but everything that we wanted to do was closed by the time we were done, as we were here from 12:30pm to 7:40pm. My hair was virgin hair once again, it had not been dyed as all my bleached hair was years ago and had been cut off, I did not have any color underneath or anything of that sort. Michelle toned my hair again after the first time turned out just looking like my regular hair, so the picture below is after the second time when I was not satisfied with the first. I was also not satisfied after the second as it was not brown at all, but I couldn't sit around for any longer, it was almost 8pm and there was no one else in the salon besides us, so I just accepted it. I enjoyed her conversation and she was friendly but what I received in return was not what I asked for in the slightest and in my opinion not worth $285, and I have booked an appointment with another salon.

I'm sorry for the late post, but I've been to this salon three times and this is the first time I have done a review. But the fact that I've been here three times should speak for itself! My stylist is Veronica Bautista. She not only does amazing color, but she is a great person who really cares about her customers and the quality of her work. We have a running joke that she feeds me and makes me pretty! Two times she's gone to Rubio's next-door to feed me because my hair takes a long time. All that being said, you need to see her if you want an amazing color job!

Hi I'm Alyssa L. This is my review for my favorite hair stylist Caitlin: I have been to three other hair stylists in the Stockton area. None of them have ever made me come back to get my hair done, except for Caitlin. Every time I go to get my usual balayage by Caitlin, she always makes me feel super comfortable. She makes the 5.5-6 hours go by so fast. She is always offering me snacks or drinks while I'm in the chair. We both went to the same high school, so it's always fun to reminisce about that time in our lives. Caitlin, so far, has done balayage to my hair twice and toned my hair once. She is very professional and tells me everything that she is going to do to my hair. Her pricing is also very fair for the services and supplies she uses. Towards the end of the appointment she always styles my hair with loose curls She is also very helpful when it comes to recommending hair products to keep my blonde from fading/getting brassy :) and products to keep my hair hydrated. I highly recommend Caitlin if you ever want to get a balayage !!! She is awesome.

Just got my hair done yesterday by Panou and totally happy about the results! I've been getting balayage for years and it's really difficult to find someone new and capable at the same time. Since Covid and quarantine started, there's been a lot of scheduling conflicts and Panou was very understanding and flexible. She is also very communicative and she really takes into consideration what her client wants. I totally appreciate a stylist who explains every step of the process and continues to ask me about what I want along the process. As someone who's had multiple hair colorists in the past from SJ to SD, I'm glad I found a hairstylist that caters to my needs. She is also very transparent and tells you what to expect at the end. P.S. I have super long and thick Asian hair so my session took 9 hours but totally worth it at the end. Highly recommend and check out her insta for her amazing work!

I've been going to Analí @hairby.analicasian @analicasian.makeup for over 2 years now. The reason why I choose to go to her without even knowing her was that she looked friendly and easy to approach. As a curly headed girl, I always had the hardest time picking a hairstyles that would know how to cut and layered my hair. Analí does a great job at doing this every single time. Not only does she cut my hair, she also straightens my hair, and does my makeup on special occasions. I can never get my hair this straight , and my makeup to look this flawless on my own. My makeup stays on all day. She is also very flexible and works around the times that I'm available to make an appointment. i recently got a haircut from miriam. i wanted a bang TRIM nothing crazy and some layers. the layers i got are nothing like my inspo photos and she cut off a lot of my length off. my hair was so long and it completely lost all i was trying to grow out. the bangs she gave me were the worst part, i should've just kept trimming them myself. i wanted wispy bangs and just see for yourself how i left the salon. i paid $75 total as well. Miriam, my hairstylist, completely messed up my hair. I had long hair that looked great until I decided to get a trim. I specifically asked for layered hair and curtain bangs, but she completely disregarded my request. Instead, she cut my hair into a completely different style that didn't resemble what I had asked for at all. The bangs were choppy and uneven, and the overall cut was terrible. While the vibe at the salon seems pleasant, the hairstylists there lack experience and skill. read more

I definitely recommend this Salon!! I have gone to Emily before and she is someone I trust to cut my hair. Emily is a great listener as she is attentive about my requests. The salon's location is very lovely and it is not hard to find parking. I usually get a trim or get a bob haircut here and the price is pretty good. I didn't have to wait long. Just got home from appointment with Michelle at Salon Avanti. I went for a trim of my pixie cut, color and highlights. I showed pictures of the color and cut that I wanted. I was not only disappointed with the outrageous charge of $225, but she had no idea of how to blow dry my hair! I'm so over stylists that say they know what I want, but do not have the expertise to follow through, or even care . Well that's the last money I throw away on inexperienced stylists! Higher priced, but worth the cut and style. Anali took me as a walk-in. She has great conversational skills and is experienced. It was a high energy, bustling place so if you're looking for a calm, relaxing time, maybe this isn't the place. Plenty of parking. Seemed like plenty of staff. I'd recommend this place. read more

Book with Alexis like today!! You will not be disappointed! This is the first time I actually went to someone and showed them an inspiration pic of I wanted with my hair and it was spot on. I felt so good after my haircut, literally felt like the baddest and no one could tell me nothing. I added pictures of how she did my hair and my inspiration picture as well, literally spot on. i booked an appointment with michelle and this is the first time a hairstylist botched my hair. i asked for curtain bangs and long layers and i ended up with demolished hair and poorly styled bangs. i asked for an inch off because i wanted to keep as much length as possible but she cut off much more than that. it felt like she didn't know how to style the curtain bangs so it looked so weird and messy. the photo of me in my car is how i left the salon. i almost cried looking at it. the other photo of my is how i styled my hair when i got home and it looks way much better than how michelle did my bangs. i started to question if she knew how to do hair. i noticed that my layers were too short and looked uneven. i washed my hair to see how it would look naturally and it was a disaster. my layers were uneven and short and my layers just had two distinct lengths-- no blending! plus it was a red flag when she started the appointment with a hair wash and proceeded to cut my hair when it was wet. dry cuts are more accurate and it truly shows the hair cut. there's no excuse saying that layered haircuts are going to look like that when i had layered haircut that were seamless and blended washed and not styled. she styled my hair and asked if i wanted any adjustments but i wouldn't have known behind the wacky blowout she styled me in. my usual hairstylist was booked and there was no openings that aligned with my personal schedule so i booked with michelle (bc i really wanted to get curtain bangs since mine were grown out lol) but i should've done my research before booking an appointment with her. i'm just so sad. she was nice tho. read more

Made an appointment for a cut and color by phone on a slow Monday. Arrived about 8 minutes late to find that they had a walk in and dumped my appointment. They said you're late- which I was but then said they should be able to accommodate me in about an hour. The person in my designated chair was far more into her process than my eight minutes would allow. Halfway into a color job. This walk in welcome salon was hungry for business and took it out on me. Was I wrong in arrived late? Of course! No apologies from them, no offer of a glass of ice water while I waited, nothing. Basically take it or leave it. I left it!!! I got my hair done by Catie, and I was so disappointed. I sent accurate pictures and videos of what I wanted which was a brown balayage, and what she gave me was literally blonde/ashy hair. This was my first experience and I did so much research, but it turned out awful, and I was so upset. She even wanted to let me leave with a much lighter color, but I asked her to add darker shades just so it wouldn't be as blonde, but still, it was awful, and I hate my hair. She even charged me again for asking to add the darker shades. I paid $330 and a $20 tip, but I hate my hair right now, and I do not recommend her at all. I did show my disapproval but there wasn't anything else to do, cause I couldn't let her bleach my hair again, but at least she could offer another session later to come in and fix this. read more

Tamara is the best! I don't trust anyone to do my hair color. I have really dark hair and she makes it platinum, from that, I can color it pink, purple or gray. I was already skeptical about going to a new stylist, I don't usually trust just anyone with my hair, but I had no choice. I went in to get a trim, since it was very much needed. Everyone seemed very welcoming the salon was very nice and clean so I thought I was in good hands. As a hair stylist you want to create a relationship with your client, regardless if they're randoms or not, you want to give them a reason to want to come back, or recommend you to other people, that wasn't my case. Sarah cut my hair today, very serious lady, very aggressive, did not try to interact (which is fine, I'm usually pretty quiet anyway), did not seem friendly at all though. I basically paid $80 to get smacked around, and get my hair pulled, I'm usually okay with pain... but I left this place with a headache. When she washed my hair, it was not relaxing at all, she kept hitting me with the shower head, she kept yanking on my hair a lot, even when she brushed it, it was very aggressive, the brush Bristles kept hitting my face. She cut layers on my hair, even though I didn't ask for them, and she kept slapping my wet hair around, roughly throwing my hair around back and forth as she was pulling it up and cutting it and kept smacking my wet hair on my face. It just wasn't a good experience... I'm also not too pleased with how she cut my hair... I wanted to keep as much length as possible, my hair was about 6 inches past my shoulders, I just wanted the split ends trimmed off, my hair is now a little less then shoulder length and super choppy. I don't know if she is like this with her regular clients or if she just acted like this towards me because I looked young and she probably didn't think I would leave her a good tip or something. But I was really hoping I would go in there and leave there happy and with hopes of finding a new hair stylist, since this place has good reviews, but that wasn't the case... I also didn't say anything to her because I'm pretty shy and not very outspoken.. but I really wish I did speak up for my self. I don't want this review to be directed to the other stylists because the others did seem really nice and friendly and I noticed how they interacted with their clients, but unfortunately that wasn't the case with me and the hair stylist I had. read more

I went to Salon Avanti to see what Elaine could do to the mess I made of my hair. I colored it myself, then I got a couple of cuts elsewhere and Viola! I was a mess. I have thick hair, below my shoulders and in one cut somebody messed up years of growing it out. I put myself in Elaine's hands and I can't stop smiling. She completely repaired the color and deep conditioned it. The color looks like natural but better. No longer a total fake deal. And it is shiny and feels healthy. She followed with a perfect cut and I got to keep the length. The first day I washed it I didn't even dry it and it laid beautifully. HA, now that is the sign of a hair stylist who is paying attention to every detail. The second half Elaine's plan was introduce me to her eyelash update. Talk about a pick me up. Cant believe how good they look. They also feel good and savfe me time in the morning and evening. NO MASCARA needed. I feel so rejuvenated, uplifted and 10 years younger. If you want to update your look, downplay your age, or just boost your self confidence go see ELAINE. She recommended services based on my lifestyle and what she thought I could and would handle and maintain properly. That right there told me what I needed to know. Booked my appointment over a month in advanced and about 20 minutes before I get there my hair dresser texted me and said she was feeling sick if we could reschedule. I understand people get sick & what not but canceling on someone right before their appointment? You couldn't have texted me that morning before wasting my gas and time? Talk about unprofessional. Also I forgot to mention, their customer service is horrendous. I walk in (it is my first time) & a couple stylist just glance at me and completely ignore me. NOBODY said absolutely anything to me. Nobody even said "hi" are you serious??? How are you running a business with rude employees. I understand a customer schedules an appointment with one of their stylist but not one person was able to even greet me. Totally rude. I have never been to a salon with such bad customer service. I decided to try Salon Avanti after I was not pleased with my previous hair job. I was able to book an appointment with Claudia Mata the next day after consulting with her about what I wanted. The day of my appointment was a breeze for me (but probably difficult for her since my hair underwent multiple color sessions prior). She completely changed my hair from the cut to the color to the style and I was all the more pleased. She was patient with my hair and I knew she was putting in quality work despite having other appointments waiting. The store had a welcoming and laid back environment. My hair stylist was very hospitable with great customer service. She clearly knows what she's doing. She made my hair better than what I wanted. Most hair salons seem to try way too hard. You know, high on pretentiousness, low on quality; fake columns, fake art, lots of gold, like they're trying to achieve a million dollar look on a 50 dollar budget. Salon Avanti, however, is very rich and elegant, yet somehow understated, which conveys true CLASS as opposed to being ostentatious, which I loathe. I love this spacious hair salon. I believe this is Stockton's new premium hair salon. I recently walked in, and after being warmly greeted and offered a cup of coffee, I met with a young lady named Kaye who gave me a great haircut and was very friendly. I snooped around the salon and I saw that while your hair color is processing you are set in a comfortable room with a huge wall mounted television and offered more beverages. I cannot wait to go back! One more thing; It is located in the new Stonecreek Village shopping center which is absolutely fabulous. read more

I purchased a Groupon from a stylist that worked at Avanti -- then that stylist left and left my hanging with a paid for Groupon for a cut and style that I was really looking forward to. NOT GOOD.... until... The owner talked to me and made good on the deal! With out ANY hesitation! She set me up with another stylist and when I got there the stylist was amazing and the owner came over and checked on me -- WAY AWESOME! Super impressed! I think it is pretty cool when a salon does what's right even when they weren't responsible for what went wrong! All of this took place over a year ago and I STILL sing the praises of this salon! I think the {fantastic} cut and color were nice, but it was the SERVICE that makes me smile a year later! GREAT JOB AVANTI! I have thick curly hair and for years I couldn't find anyone who can cut and style my hair that made me feel proud to have these curls. When I went to Ivy for the first time, she really listened to my concerns with my hair and made suggestions that would show off my curls in a fun and sophisticated style. After that, I kept coming back to her even after moving to another city, state and country. I have a hard time finding another curl stylist that can match Ivy's professional curl expertises and to be honest, I'm glad. Ivy is a stylist who always challenges and educates herself in her field. Yes Elaine is awesome she did my lashes and when you talk it makes your eyes move which makes it difficult to attach a lash. My sister and I both came in for haircuts. I got a haircut and a style and my sister only got a haircut so of course they are different prices because of more work on the head. I would recommend for hair and lashes because she's very friendly and attentive and does what you want with good communication when doing your hairstyle and she's very creative and accommodating. Also Sabrina is so great at perms I love mine and she did a cut too all for a reasonable price she's so great ! She also dyed my other sisters hair and I would recommend her to anyone! Cindy at Salon Avanti is amazing! She has been doing my hair since I was a student at UOP and has seen me thru marriage, kids and all sorts of ups and downs--always keeping my hair looking great. She also is the stylist for my husband (they went to Stockton Jr. High together!) and my kids. The hair cut my daughter had as a little girl was so popular, everyone always asked about and commented on the "Emma Haircut". Now she makes my daughter look great as a teenager. She first cut my son's hair as a toddler while he SCREAMED bloody murder in the salon. She did not give up and she still cuts his hair to this day--without the screaming. Kaye Reiswig has been my hair stylist since 1997 - she is excellent! She pays attention to detail. Even after drying your hair, she will sometimes trim it to make sure it's cut correctly, then proceed to finish styling. If you bring her a picture or suggest a certain cut/style, she will determine whether it's right for your hair texture and how your hair grows. The salon itself is beautiful and roomy and has a lot of natural light. I love the shampoo chairs - SO comfortable on the neck. I have visited many hair dressers in 12 years and only one knew what bayalage was (think Victorias Secret model highlights) very natural. IVY was able to give me beautiful hair the base color was beautiful and added a few subtle highlights to my hair. I have never received so many compliments on my hair specially from my husband who has never made a comment about my hair in the 6 years we have been together. I drive to Salon Avanti from San Jose to get a haircut from Barbara. I have long hair and she is able to cut my hair the way I like it. I showed her pictures of how I wanted my hairstyle and I got it. Taking a 1.5 hour drive to see Barbara my hair lady is totally worth it and I would recommend her to any of my friends. Before Barbara I was cutting my own hair because i did not trust any I mean any hair dresser until I met Barabra through my sister. Marlene Campos cut and colored my hair today and I could not be happier with the results! My hair was box-dyed and dull with frayed ends when I walked into the salon and when I walked out my hair was soft, vibrant, and face-flattering. This girl may only be 19, but I'm telling you she knows what she's doing. congrats Dino!! salon Avanti is a hit . I tell all my girlfriends about this place, the salon is beautiful from the floor up .Great location and not to mention the service is great. I have been a client of Corina Cortez for 12 years plus. This girl knows everything about hair. I tell her was i want and, boom she delivers. Thank you Cristy Yoke for your amazing sense of style which transcends in to adorable on trend cuts and color! She is absolutely top notch. She is also giving of her time to help organizations in the community as well as giving back to San Joaquin Delta College via their fashion program. I have worked with her on various event sand she constantly blows me away with her creativity and high energy! She can style hair for events, fashion shows and photo sessions. My daughters and I have been going to Sarath for over five years, and I couldn't recommend her more highly. We get our hair cut and highlighted and she does amazing job! My daughters are now grown, and even though they live in different states, they still have Sarath do their hair every time they come to visit. She also has a sweet personality and is so easy to talk with. Ask for Sarath if you are new or just looking for a wonderful stylist, you won't be disappointed. read more

The very first time I went to Claudia Mata, she cut my hair exactly how I'd been asking previous hairdressers to do so for years!!!!! She is such a fantastic stylist...she listens to what you want, remembers it every time you go, and always aims to please!!!!! I am sooooo happy that I found her!!!!! Claudia is definitely worth the 3 1/2 hour travel time to have her color, cut, and style my hair!!!!! She is a very kind, friendly, and talented person!!!!! read more

I went there for the first time today and Allie McCarthy helped me. She is the best! She listened to my concerns about my hair and issues I have been dealing with. Gave me great advice for hair care and showed me easy ways to style my hair. Made me feel comfortable and relaxed while she took care of me. I can Guarantee that I will be going to her from now on and recommend her for those that don't have anyone they see regularly. read more

I had a great experience at this salon! It has really nice atmosphere, and it was easy to make an appointment. I got my hair done by Sheyla, and she was fantastic. She was really knowledgeable, and she let me know what was realistic for my hair. She did color, balayage and a cut. It looked amazing and felt healthy. The pricing was fair, especially considering how experienced she is. I will absolutely being going back to Sheyla! read more
