The building and concept itself is a great idea but management is the absolute worse. I first heard about Salon Park on the radio and decided to give it a try, so I called to schedule an appointment and was routed to a stylist. Once I arrived there the atmosphere was busy like any other Black Salon, there were people walking around selling all kinds of things on a busy Saturday. I loved getting my hair done but absolutely HATED the racist white man that walks around and POLICE all of the tenants. He walked into my stylist suite with a rotten attitude and demanded her to turn her music down and to blow out the incense, which I thought was CRAZY. The Stylist later shared that the owner of Salon Park Meyerland does that to all of tenants there. The evil white man walks around telling everyone how to conduct business and who they can have in their suites and who can come sell things to them. Frankly its none of my business but it seems a bit unfair to regulate schedules and police what happens in individual suites when the tenants are paying that high ass rent every week. I did ended up going back twice but I am sure not to schedule my appointments when that racist man is there. It sickens me to see the RACISM that is still alive today. I noticed how the racist that owner is, he literally treats the tenants like slaves and talks crazy to them. If I were a stylist, I would never rent from this place based on how management treats PAYING TENANTS. I do like my stylist but scheduling my appointment time based around when the owner will not be there is annoying. I vote NO to Salon Park Meyerland but yes to my stylist. read more

The facility is very nice however one of the stylist Hair by Ashlei Jae is very unprofessional. I have been a client of hers for almost a year. While the service she provides is good, she is very unprofessional with maintaining appointments. Every single appointment I've had with her has been rescheduled last minute. I've actually missed a flight after she did not show three hours later for my appointment. This bad habit is not limited to just me there are several other clients of hers that have experienced the same. The straw that broke the camels back is her rescheduling my appointment last minute then not doing it all. How disrespectful and inconsiderate of someone's time. She will never in life do my hair again but my hope is that she reads this review and immediately improve upon her professionalism. In such a profitable industry your reputation proceeds you. Basic respect of someone else's time is necessary when working in your industry. You can't have a page full of policies and you don't follow them yourself. Had she responded and acknowledged my text message I probably would have let yet another one of her failures slide. Get it together, there is better out there. read more

This salon isn't rated #1 by chance! It has a very upbeat atmosphere, super talented/educated stylists, Experts in all phases of Cosmetology! I've worked here for 6 1/2 years and absolutely appreciate the support and structure given by the Owner (Bonner) which supports and enhances the vision I have for my business. With 60+ stylists it can be a challenge to maintain one message upon entering the salon because you have so many creative and different personalities. However, the business structure here is simply one of professionalism, cleanliness and customer service. Bonner goes over and beyond his call of duty to make sure they EVERY client has a pleasurable experience! Even if it means that we (stylists) have to tone down the noise coming from our suites, redirect young children, or keep our suites in clean/sanitary conditions. I had such a wonderful experience with Tabitha when she took care of my daughter's silk press for the very first time. From the beginning, she showed outstanding communication -- not only recommending the right extensions but also helping us select them in a cost-effective way. She patiently answered my many questions and gave me all the hair information I needed, which left me very impressed. On the day of the appointment, Tabitha was gentle, respectful, and explained every step, making sure my daughter felt completely comfortable. She always asked for both my input and my daughter's opinion, which made us the happiest. The salon was clean, well-organized, and sanitized, and Tabitha was on time and fully prepared. I have been a client of Adonica Dionne's since 2006. She has seen me through many phases of my hair including relaxers and color. Now she has successfully helped me transform my hair to completely natural (no chemicals at all) for the last 7 years. She is always professional, efficient and has given me the absolute best experience I could ever imagine. Because I see her weekly, Adonica deep conditions and trims my hair as needed. I have been going to the Salon Park Meyerland for about 6 years now and my stylist is Mrs. Jeana James. I absolutely love her and the salon. I drive all the way from The Woodlands where I work to have my hair done. I am very picky and tender headed and my stylist always ends up giving me exactly what I want. She is very knowledgeable about natural and permed hair care. Additionally, I am very particular about where I choose to spend 2 or 3 hours out of my busy day and this salon is not your typical hair salon. I have never experienced loud music, dirty aisles, or bad customer service. I recommend family and friends to my stylist and this salon all the time. read more

I come to this location for none other than Briana Foster! She's an amazingly talented young lady with gifted hands. I've mostly recieved braiding services from her, but she offers so much more. I love the fact that she braids without hurting you or pulling and tugging on the scalp. She's very neat, and more importantly, ALWAYS make sure that the customer is happy. If the customer is not happy, she's not happy. Briana is personable with me when I go. We talk and laugh at just about anything. You can also expect to sing a little as she plays music while working. Adonica is an AMAZING hair stylist. She is always very professional and knowledgeable about how to keep natural and processed hair healthy. She is also very personable and I enjoy her conversations whenever I go.
