Bianca did a fabulous job on my haircut. She was personable, but also allowed me some time to zen out especially during the hair washing part. I drive 30 mins to get my hair done here. This is the best salon I've been to. Karlee really knows and understands curls. My curls have never looked better. Plus she gives you a pamphlet to take home to care for your curls. Karlee's product recommendations are always spot on. I can't recommend this salon enough. I'm new to the area and was looking for a new salon. I'm so glad I decided to come here! I schedule my appointment with Caiti based on their website description of each stylist. She was on time and I didn't have to wait for my appointment. Caiti was easy to work with and enjoyable to talk to. I received a cut and balayage after growing out my shaved head from last year. I had an idea of the hairstyle I wanted but I gave Caiti full liberty on the color after I showed her some pictures of color. She completely blew my expectations out of the water. The pricing is what I expected to pay and what I'm accustomed to paying with color. The salon itself is very clean and had a very calm vibe to it. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. I had two appointments at this salon and it's a really nice place. Alexis is extremely talented and provides exactly what you request however I tried several times to establish a conversation with her and she flat ignored me. She was entirely busy watching her employees and would make comments critiquing people's work while they are with a customer. Use this product don't do this, put this on first etc it became uncomfortable for me to listen to and I value being able to establish a relationship with my stylist. I like to know about them, have them know about me, I've become close friends with former stylists so relationship building is important and it couldn't be done with Alexis. I was disappointed because she is talented at cutting hair, but I still felt uncomfortable for the experience. Tiffany was my second stylist and I was able to chat with her more, but Alexis was still critiquing people. I would rather employee coaching be done away from customers. I of course noticed some of the negative reviews but realized they had to be false .. people can be malicious and anyone can leave a review .. I went to A mall shopping after my appointment and honestly had several people complimenting me on my " sassy " new look! My husband first reaction was wow you look so stylish .. and he never usually says anything ! I feel blessed that I went to this talented young woman she definitely knows hair! I will always be sure to pre-book my appointments with her so that I continue to make sure she has the availability!! My permanent residence will be 2 hours away but I'll make the drive .. because she's that amazing!! The salon itself is very elegant and exceptionally clean! This is the absolute BEST salon I have ever had the pleasure of going to. From start to finish my experience was top notch! First, I received a personal email response to my inquiry from the owner, Sandi, which is why I chose to drive 30 minutes away from where I live. She highly recommended Alexis to correct my hair color, as I had a very unfortunate incident a few days earlier with box color I'd been using since earlier this year. Alexis greeted me upon my arrival and provided me with her professional and honest opinion on how we can turn my reddish dark brown hair into much lighter blonde tones. We agreed on a game plan, she provided me with an estimate of the charges and proceeded to work her magic! She was patient, caring, and extremely skilled. Before I came to Salon Lucent I hadn't gotten my hair cut in YEARS and had difficulty trusting anyone with my curly hair. But I decided it was time for me to trust someone and Karlee did not disappoint. My hair has never been healthier than it is now. My curls are always bouncy and my hair feels so refreshed after leaving the salon. I will never go anywhere else. I love it here, I moved here in May with my mom and I wanted to find somewhere closer. I have moved to tallahasee for school and Karlee gave me a recommendation for up here but I just love her so much I don't think I'll go to anyone else. I had changed girls because my original stylist left but Karlee picked up right where the other left off. She cut my hair the best I've ever had. Did the coloring perfectly, She led me through the entire process, told her my entire hair history and what I need to change and never pushed products on me. She was making sure my hair was healthy and how easy it is to make it better. Never made me feel bad about how much hairspray I used or how much heat I used, she made me want to change how I take care of my hair. I cannot describe how much I love Karlee and everything here. If I could give them 6 stars I would. They will make sure you're paired with someone that fits your needs and my mom goes here too, and she feels the exact same way even though our hair is totally different and we have different stylist. If you have curls (or even if you don't like me) , I 10/10 recommended Karlee because she's very passionate about it and knows a lot of information about everything related to hair. read more
