Alison always surprises me when I get out of her chair. I am overjoyed with the results each and every time. "Thank you Alison for all you have done for me! I am in love with my hair and can't stop staring at myself!" I cannot recommend Alison's Salon & Day Spa enough. Go today only if you want TONS of compliments!

On my first visit, she was able to do a color correction for me and it looked great! This time, I asked for a 1 1/2 inch root melt with a vanilla blonde balayage. I showed her photos and even commented that her hair was similar, and I was looking for the same type of coloring technique, but with my requested colors. I walked in there with six weeks worth of grow out, and came out with what looks like four months of grow out and nothing else. Extremely disappointed, and I hope that this is not the overall attitude at the salon. The salon itself is very clean and professional looking.

I received hair cuts from both Rusty and Desiree and while Rusty did give me a nice cut, I liked Desiree a little better --- but not her cuts. After a few appointments I started looking elsewhere. I liked the idea of this salon, but when customer service and quaiity doesn't meet the LOOK of the place, why go back?

Pricier than some other places, but still comparable. Next time, I'll go in with a picture or something. I like what she did, but I wasn't blown away, but that's probably because I wasn't really sure what I wanted. I don't dislike it, but I need to be told what will look good because I am indecisive ;-)

My hair is super fine and finicky and it breaks easily so it's important that not too much gets cut off because it takes forever to grow back. The stylist listened to what I wanted and actually asked questions to verify she understood. On top of that, the conditioning treatment she used is AMAZING. So far, even after a few washes, my fine hair feels so soft and it's not weighed down at all. I will forever only go to Aveda salons from now on.

My daughter came home explaining it to me and cried so much. She said you were ripping through her hair all over. Combing really hard and getting to tangles and tearing through them, she said last time you did not do that. Also when you want to use thinning shears you should ask if that's ok. A few times back we told you we do not like that but I'm sure you just forgot. She just went through a low iron and a lot of hair loss from it and you used thinning shears everywhere. Her ponytail is very thin now. The cut is pretty but the sides need adjustment. Her curtain bangs are not where she asked but it's ok. You are a very good stylist, but the only thing I can imagine was you not feeling well and was in a rush. Or you used new combs and different detangling conditioner. Please do not frown upon us for being upset. We want to return to your salon and you may not want us as your client because you fear we will be upset but I know there is no other person that has ever given my family such beautiful haircuts before. I do not want to lose that over one bad experience." She did not apologize and said we can come back and she would check her work. She said no one told her not to use thinning shears but she never asked and my 20 year old daughter was there. She never asked. Her hair was 60% thinner to the point my daughter was extremely upset. And the sides were choppy on one side and good on other. She made me an appointment for 6 months from the date. We chose not to get anything fixed and just wait the 6 months. We had a text appointment confirmation. Two days before I called to confirm and she said she did not want to do our hair because we make her nervous. That's ok, it was a lot of complaining, we were upset. But why give us an appointment and cancel last minute? So if you like that kind of stuff go see her. Also I mentioned her possibly not feeling well because before this cut she rescheduled on us three times. Note, when I called to reschedule and she thought I was complaining to a manager she said, " I trained him", implying it will go nowhere.

She welcomed me in and gave me an AMAZING haircut and had a cool conversation about life and living. EXTREMELY happy that I stopped in and gave this business a chance. As a male (with longer hair) I appreciated the fact that they cut men's hair. Even if I didn't have longer hair, I'd still HIGHLY recommend this place for your next hair appt. I'd also like to say that I'm super jazzed about Heather Brown Hardwick running for mayor.
