The young (teenage) lady who had received the haircut and color seemed pleased with it and the haircut was done precisely how she had described ! The girl seemed happy and walked out just fine, that is when her older sister came rushing in the door , cursing and accusing Donna of giving her sister a bad cut/color !! 1. Do you think it is possible the teenage girl did not communicate thoroughly with the stylist ? 2. Is it plausible that after having nearly 1ft. of hair cut off that she may have been a bit shocked at her new look ? The new look in which she had asked for? After all young women can be a bit dramatic when it comes to their hair 3. Charging in the door to a salon , swearing and putting the stylist down would evoke defense from anyone ! I think Donna handled the situation very professionally! And it was only when Crystal threatened not to pay the nearly $70 bill , that Donna said she had the right to call the police! NOT THAT SHE WAS CALLING THE POLICE! I am sorry but everyone has received a haircut or color that they just weren't satisfied with. Just because a hairstyle looks good on a model in a magazine, doesn't mean it will look the same on you. This was a fine cut and color and this review by Crystal is an obviously biased slight at Donna and is unfair ! The only person left in tears was Donna, she felt awful that the girl was unsatisfied ! I walked in and said, "I have an appointment, is this Address XXXXXX" and they said it was. Ok, whatever. Lady named Marna did eyebrow dyeing for me. Took three applications, with the last two applications only on the outside half of each brow, as that is the part that had "bleached." (I'm naturally dark haired, why did my eyebrows bleach out?) She did a good job for what she had to work with on me. Cost me $15. However, she highly recommended that I go to a place in Coos Bay where I could get my eyebrows "tatoo'd." I may consider that! Update: In January, Marna cut my hair. I had worn the same hairstyle for years, and I let Marna pick out a style for me and she did a good job. Hairstyle is maintenance free and looks good on me. Not to mention, she was fast! I'm used to haircuts taking about an hour (why? I have short hair!) and she got me shampoo'd and cut and dried and "outa there" in 30 minutes! Cash or checks only.

So, I've been going to Tatianna for a few months now, and I have to say, I'm almost afraid to…read moreupdate my review, she's that good (I'd hate to not be able to book an appointment because she got too much business from great reviews!), but I had to come back and let you all know how things worked out. I have always had to wear fake nails, firstly because my own nails split and peel if you just look at them, and second, I chose to become a nurse, a field where you wash your hands 20-30 times per shift. I would have been the only one out there with no nails, and patients would run in fear of the unknown! So I've tried to keep them looking natural, at least, since clear powder was invented. Imagine my joy when I left today, with just. my. own. nails. Nah, just kidding, but you wouldn't know that by looking at them - she uses a product that doesn't damage your natural nails, doesn't leave fill lines, and doesn't even require a clear overcoat! My nails actually do look 100% natural, but they're so strong, I've yet to break one in three months! Or have one lift (don't you hate that?) I could not be happier! Oh, and I only go every three weeks, instead of every two, on top of that! First set was a lot of work, taking off the acrylic and gel, but my fill appointments are only about a half hour, no longer than a regular gel fill. And while they run $40, again, it's only every three weeks, so it averages out to about $13/week, same as most gel fills, plus tip. And I've learned that Brookings isn't that far from Crescent City, gas is way cheaper, in Oregon, and I get to meet my hubby for lunch on the way! Win-Win! Sorry this is such a long post, but there really isn't enough room to praise Tatianna enough! Check her out, you won't be sorry!!! :)

Here are just a few of the reasons why: She really cares about the quality of the haircut she gives. She's quite gifted. I know I will never go home and find anything that needs evening out or touching up. She cares about customer satisfaction and gets excited with results right along with me. She knows a lot about hair health and teaches me about hair care. And, I can't believe this has been so hard to find here, but she cuts hair wet or dry! That's one thing I've really missed since I moved here, having my hair cut wet. She knows what hairstyles will look good on me. I bring in photos of what I want and she nails it. Every time! It was a long drive and the provider seemed to have lost my appointment and double booked and couldn't squeeze me in. And she admitted she messed up and did find the appointment while I was there. But I had to wait a week to rebook and it's not like I live in Brookings. I drive down from Gold Beach. The ambiance is horrible because somebody crashed into the front months earlier and it hasn't been repaired yet. Just hazard tape around the bashed-in front wall. The provider didn't have a lot of experience and 50$ was too much for the level (and lack) of service. I'll never go back. But hey, there aren't a whole lot of providers for pedicures in Brookings OR Gold Beach. It's a shame. I'll keep looking, but I think I'll have to drive to Crescent City or Grants pass for better service. Either that or just go back to doing my own pedicures. Can't complain too much. We live in paradise here. So there's good with the bad. It's just too small of a town to have more options available. And I dont think I wish the town would get any bigger. #SmallTownProblems

They feel great and gives me something back since my thyroid broke. I was so grateful they got me in last min, I for sure appreciate it. This is my new home town salon!
