This review is for the pedicures. I can't speak for the hair salon, other than the owner neglecting needed repairs. It was a long drive and the provider seemed to have lost my appointment and double booked and couldn't squeeze me in. And she admitted she messed up and did find the appointment while I was there. But I had to wait a week to rebook and it's not like I live in Brookings. I drive down from Gold Beach. The ambiance is horrible because somebody crashed into the front months earlier and it hasn't been repaired yet. Just hazard tape around the bashed-in front wall. The provider didn't have a lot of experience and 50$ was too much for the level (and lack) of service. I'll never go back. But hey, there aren't a whole lot of providers for pedicures in Brookings OR Gold Beach. It's a shame. I'll keep looking, but I think I'll have to drive to Crescent City or Grants pass for better service. Either that or just go back to doing my own pedicures. Can't complain too much. We live in paradise here. So there's good with the bad. It's just too small of a town to have more options available. And I dont think I wish the town would get any bigger. #SmallTownProblems read more

The nail tech Jordan is super rude and really makes a client feel unwelcome. Gives off the vibe that you're just a bother to her.

I'm visiting close by and thought I'd try to get my nails done. Called to see if they offered Shellac manicures, the lady on the phone didn't know about manicures, and seemed to be annoyed that I called asking about pricing and services. After she got me some details I asked if i could make an appointment for tomorrow, she responded "the chances of that are very unlikely, but i could check if you'd like." WoW! Obviously I want you to see if there are any appointments tomorrow... once I said that, yep, I did want her to check, she verified that there was nothing. Seriously bad customer service. read more

As someone who has been growing to Brookings since I was a wee chap and have never had to have a haircut whilst there. This time, my hair was terribly long and I needed a haircut, desperately. My aunt and uncle live in Brookings and my aunt had scheduled a facial service for my mum. She, my aunt, called the salon and there was an opening with Eden. We got to the salon and I met Eden . . .the rest is history. I'm pretty spoiled being a dude from LA County and have access to some of the best hairstylists. Suffice to say, Eden did an amazing job and I love my haircut. She is incredibly friendly and certainly great at cutting/styling hair. If you ever need a cut, style or the works, come and see Eden. These ladies actually listen and try to make your hair how you envision it! I have never gotten a bad haircut/coloring here. I go blonde frequently and they are excellent with my hair. Cassie has done my hair the last 2 visits and does an awesome job, Janessa previously did my hair, and Eden has before as well. All very talented ladies and very polite. There's some talent in the Salon, starting with the Owner. She's a gem when it comes to colorist. Some excellent talented nail techs. Both of the Kayla's are raved about. However, it won't take you long to figure out the environment is a breeding ground for gossip and drama. Been there a few times and the ladies who work there participate in bashing of other people and professionals. Yikes! It seems the experience of people in town and other Stylist/Nail Techs who have worked there has the same sentiments. A breeding ground for gossip and drama. Not going back there for that reason. Plus if you've ever seen the movie, "Mean Girls." That's the attitude personified with the niche of ladies who work there. read more

I needed to someone to help me fix some petty terrible highlights that I got in a different town. Eden was the first person I found in Brookings with an opening, so I booked her and crossed my fingers. What luck to find her. She immediately saw what was wrong and came up with a couple of options to fix it. She listened and considered my wants. What she did worked perfectly. She's smart and thinks of little details, like how one section of hair can affect the rest... how it will look with your face... etc. I walked away super happy and feeling like I'd discovered a secret weapon for my hair here in Brookings. Which, honestly, is not easy to do. The salon itself is a little behind the times. No web site, very few photos online... no one to greet you when you walk in. But Eden is a gem. Shayla was awesome I just moved to Brookings from Vegas and I have been going to the same nail tech for 9 years so I was really scared of what the out come would be but shayla delivered and listened to everything I wanted and nailed it literally lol. .. the only thing I would complain about is that while the other girls working were trying to blow dry hair and do nails at the same time (I understand time management) the blow dryer was blowing all the nail dust in the air and it was sticking to my nails but I'll be back for sure to see shayla again thanks! read more

Reflections offers almost everything! I've had my nails, toes, hair, and even gotten a piercing done there! Let's start with nails, Kailey is the one I always go to, but they ALL do amazing work. I have been to a nail salon where they were really rough, and aggressive, but not Kailey! The nails she does are pure ART! They are so amazing, and they are very clean and precise. She has given me acrylic nails many times, and they were always beautiful. She also did my toes, which lasted MONTHS! They were also amazing. She charges rather reasonably, considering they are the best nails you will ever have. Next I'll talk about hair. All of the stylists have great experience under their belts, and are really good at what they do. They are also reasonably priced. What more can I say? On to the Piercing... Christina, who did mine was very friendly, and knowledgeable. The price was a bit too much for me to go back for another one, though. Although she did a good job, and it healed rather well and quickly, I wouldn't recommend them for piercings. The building itself is very "fresh" and clean. They recently remodeled the floors, and they look fabulous! They have vibrant, cheery colors on the walls, and keep their areas tidy and well-maintained. There is lots of parking, and waiting chairs are comfortable. We all know how much it sucks to sit in a chair that makes your butt numb within 5 minutes. They get 5 stars, and deserve it! read more

Went in for a haircut and wanted several inches cut off. Eden did exactly what I wanted and I love my hair! She took her time and it was obvious that she cared about what she was doing. Salon could use some updating, but it was nice and clean and all the stylists and clients seemed happy. Very reasonably priced too! I will definitely be going back in a few months! read more
