Super amazing job on my extensions and highlights! My first experience at another local shop, they fell out every day! I was so scared to brush my hair. Found this place and once they were all filled in and put in, nothing has fallen out! I went surfing 4 days straight after had put in. NOT one came out! She asks the questions to make sure she understands your needs. An exceptional stylist and colorist with Master skills indeed. I had a root color, color correction and hair cut. Well, the works! I've read the reviews and even talked to Ms Tabitha a number of times. Clearly she's highly qualified. But what may not be so obvious is that she has a true passion for PEOPLE. It's not business, it's about relationships. I'm a supercuts/econo-barber type of guy. But I'm anxious to make an appointment with Tabitha and visit the salon. I was in Brookings and needed a quick hair cut for a wedding. I was told that Tabitha at j Sloan was the girl for me. Being single that peeked my curiosity. just kidding. So i jumped in my car and drove to the salon. I walked in and was greeted very kindly and I asked for Tabitha whom I found out was the owner. She squeezed me in between appointments and gave me the best hair cut I'd had in a long time. Since I'm from Medford I'm not going to be driving all the way to Brookings for a regular hair cut but I am writing this so if anyone near that area is looking for a great salon and an even greater hair stylist, I highly recommend Tabitha at J Sloan Salon in Brookings Oregon. I'm absolutely in love with the service and results I get from this salon in Brookings! Tabitha is warm and welcoming and easily the best colorist I've ever had. But that doesn't take away from the beautiful, clean cuts I get as well. :) On my first appointment with her I gave her a challenge, I thought I did anyway. I wanted her to match my natural coppery-auburn hair so that I could take a break from dying my hair and grow it out. She's the first stylist to succeed in matching my natural color, (four or five other stylists I tried from Portland and Bend just couldn't quite get there. I would still get grow-out lines.) She must've mixed four or five colors to find my shade, but she did and I'm so grateful! I've been dye-free and with no visible grow-out lines for over half a year and have added 3 more healthy inches to my already long hair! :) Today I'm going in for a semi-permanent to brighten up for the summer and I can't wait! I loved everything about this salon and the stylists. I was a "walk in" and from the moment I "walked in", I knew I would enjoy it. The layout, decor and music set a really comfortable tone. Most salons have an overwhelming chemical smell. J. Sloane has a very soft, natural aroma and that alone would send me back. Denise was the gal who cut my hair and she gave me exactly what I wanted for a fair price. I felt she really listened to me and did not push hair care products. I noticed the other stylist had just made a younger customer very happy with new highlights. I could tell that these stylists have a ton of experience and love what they do.
