It was a long drive and the provider seemed to have lost my appointment and double booked and couldn't squeeze me in. And she admitted she messed up and did find the appointment while I was there. But I had to wait a week to rebook and it's not like I live in Brookings. I drive down from Gold Beach. The ambiance is horrible because somebody crashed into the front months earlier and it hasn't been repaired yet. Just hazard tape around the bashed-in front wall. The provider didn't have a lot of experience and 50$ was too much for the level (and lack) of service. I'll never go back. But hey, there aren't a whole lot of providers for pedicures in Brookings OR Gold Beach. It's a shame. I'll keep looking, but I think I'll have to drive to Crescent City or Grants pass for better service. Either that or just go back to doing my own pedicures. Can't complain too much. We live in paradise here. So there's good with the bad. It's just too small of a town to have more options available. And I dont think I wish the town would get any bigger. #SmallTownProblems

When she was finished the layers were 1 line straight across at bang level, with a razor and the "foil" was a straight color on top. I was still in the chair and SHE had parted it. It has been 2 months now and I'm still so very angry. I have spent over 150.00 in 2 visits to try and correct it. It will take at least 2 more. Nice atmosphere and people. New owner is very friendly and personable. I'm not sure what the people from Yelp get their information pertaining to their article about J Sloane Hair Studio. I have always been welcome and felt at home. I have never seen any of the stylist or barber treated anyone rude. It is a classy salon. It is very obvious that Yelp people have never personally experience J Sloane Hair Studio. It is a shame that people at Yelp can write a disgraceful article about any business and get away with it especially when they didn't personally experience their professionalism. I was in search of a hair stylist after moving to Oregon from Southern California. Thank God my search has finally ended. Tabitha is an incredible artist as well as technician. She weaved my hair with great expertise. The color is beautiful. The haircut is great as well, but the real bonus was when she revealed the natural wave in my hair. She applied a product that brought out the natural wave that I did not know I had. Ladies & Gentlemen, look no further. I have completed all of that searching for you. Go see Tabitha. You won't be disappointed! read more

Ok, as a guy you don't normally expect a really through haircut when all you request is a number 1 buzz. However, Tabitha was amazing, taking the time to make sure everything lined up right and it was perfect. After it was done, she then washed my head (a #1 buzz dosn't leave much!) to make sure I didn't have hair all over as I was heading back to work. I also took my 12 year old daughter here as well. She fussed over her like it was her own child. Again, probably the best haircut my kid has ever had. She loves it! Highly recommend. read more

I have been going to Tabitha at J Sloane hair studio for several months now and she does a wonderful job on my hair. Not only that but she comes in early for me whenever I have my hair done and is just happy and cheerful. Every time I go in there I can relax and enjoy myself. The location is perfect being right down there at the Port and she has done a great job decorating and making it a comfortable place to go. I recommend J Sloane to anyone who wants a great haircut!! Thank you Tabitha and staff. read more

I have had Tabitha cut my hair several times and I am always exceptionally happy with the results. She is more than willing to make any changes or adjustments, which makes me feel even more comfortable with my experience. My last cut and color was incredible and I am still receiving compliments. The salon is also open late and on the weekends, which helps those of us who are unable to take time off of work for an appointment. I will most definitely be returning! read more
