Took my mother here for a new look. What a welcoming salon this is. Fabulous stylists. We were fortunate to book with Wanda Jefferies, who is possibly the world's best hair cutter. We were traveling thru, needed a hair cut. Made an appointment with Michael the owner. I told him what I wanted, he snipped for a full hour but Not exactly what I asked for. My cut does look nice after some back & forth. Then it was hubby's turn. We asked Michael to leave some of the curls, didn't happen. Hubby received a VERY Short haircut!! Again, it looks nice but not what we asked for. Sad, it will be months before my husband has Beautiful Curls again! read more

it's been a while since i went for my cuts with michael, and am remiss in not writing this sooner. but i was very very happy with michael and the whole tangles experience. i found him talented, friendly, fun to chat with and so very personable. i walked in giving him little direction in what i wanted and he did a great job in giving me a cut that i really liked. his shop seems to be run like a well oiled machine, which, in this day/age, impresses me. i would high recommend michael - he's terrific. read more

Jennifer does the best pedicures around here. I love her nail art too. Very relaxing and clean. Plus she is super nice and professional.

Avoid This Business, Mike who I had the misfortune to cut my hair was incompetent and overall did not seem to know how to even cut hair and should not be employed with a state license of which he will lose after cutting my ear with electric clippers. Also had to ask him to clean off the clippers that had old dirty hair on them from previous haircuts. He tried to deny it after it happened and the owner or other employee did not seem to care so makes him just as guilty . read more

Worst hair cut ever. I went to try this salon out after being referred to it. I made an appointment for mid-day, got there 10 minutes before to be early and had to wait nearly 45 minutes to be seen after my scheduled time. When it was finally time for my hair to be cut Michael, the guy cutting my hair asked me to sit down in his chair. He had just got done cutting a woman's hair before me not a minute ago and proceeded to have me sit in the UNCLEAN chair/station. His entire station was dirty including the tools he used to cut my hair.(previously used by the last customer). He never cleaned or sanitized anything before cutting my hair. I'll be calling the state health department to notify them. Onto the hair cut. I asked for a faded back and side and to keep the top long, I even showed three reference pictures and my previous haircut, form a different salon, basically paved the way for success. He proceeded to buzz cut with the lowest clip, shaving my head. By that time it was too late to say anything, so I just went with it. I ended up with a a choppy hair cut. The sides and back basically bald and uneven and the top was uneven and messy. At the end he spritzed my hair with water and gel, then proceeded to wipe the excess gel where he could in my hair. I immediately went home to wash my hair and have my mom touch up what she could. Now three weeks after my hair is still really short and slow to grow back. Completely unprofessional, no sense in styling and lack of respect for customer health. Unfortunately I should have left after waiting that long and the unclean station. Needless to say I won't be going back and won't recommend this place to anyone. read more

My mother, Thelma Cooper, went in regularly for at least 15 years. Michael made her hair beautiful (and she was particular); and Jennifer did her "mani-pedis." She was elderly and I felt secure knowing someone was taking good care of her feet. When I drove her to the salon, someone always came out to meet her. The staff at Tangles are highly skilled technicians, but they are also humanitarians. I am grateful to them. read more

I specifically asked for Mike as he did a great job last time. Unfortunately, he REALLY blew it this time. I showed him the EXACT same picture I did last time, and made a point of telling him I did NOT want a bob, but that's what I got. He said he could do the cut I wanted, but did exactly what I told him NOT to do. He said a bob is what I should have and that I wouldn't like anything else. I had to argue with him extensively about what I wanted. I have very fine hair, and I understand he felt the cut I asked for wouldn't help if I were trying to grow it out. However I'm not trying to grow it out. That ship has sailed. My fine hair will never be long again. I explained this several times to him. At one point he refused to do it and said I could get someone else and that he wouldn't charge me, but did! Even the other stylists and another customer weighed in on my side. Bottom line dude, it's MY hair. I have to live with it and look in the mirror everyday. I hate the cut and now have to go elsewhere to get it fixed. If I ask for a certain cut and you do what I ask and I don't like it, that's on me and I take responsibility, but here's the deal Mike...you don't get to decide what I want. The cut I want is NOT your call. I'M THE CUSTOMER.... but not anymore.... read more
