So, I've been going to Tatianna for a few months now, and I have to say, I'm almost afraid to update my review, she's that good (I'd hate to not be able to book an appointment because she got too much business from great reviews!), but I had to come back and let you all know how things worked out. I have always had to wear fake nails, firstly because my own nails split and peel if you just look at them, and second, I chose to become a nurse, a field where you wash your hands 20-30 times per shift. I would have been the only one out there with no nails, and patients would run in fear of the unknown! So I've tried to keep them looking natural, at least, since clear powder was invented. Imagine my joy when I left today, with just. my. own. nails. Nah, just kidding, but you wouldn't know that by looking at them - she uses a product that doesn't damage your natural nails, doesn't leave fill lines, and doesn't even require a clear overcoat! My nails actually do look 100% natural, but they're so strong, I've yet to break one in three months! Or have one lift (don't you hate that?) I could not be happier! Oh, and I only go every three weeks, instead of every two, on top of that! First set was a lot of work, taking off the acrylic and gel, but my fill appointments are only about a half hour, no longer than a regular gel fill. And while they run $40, again, it's only every three weeks, so it averages out to about $13/week, same as most gel fills, plus tip. And I've learned that Brookings isn't that far from Crescent City, gas is way cheaper, in Oregon, and I get to meet my hubby for lunch on the way! Win-Win! Honestly this was my favorite haircut ever here at stylin salon with Talitha! I come from Los Angeles where even there it's hard to find someone who knows how to cut curly hair. I've had botched haircuts so I gave it a chance and found Stylin Salon on yelp and gave it a go because I needed a trim pretty bad! I was leaving that day to Los Angeles to see my family so I rolled the dice and went in for a cut. Thank god I did because I fell in love with my haircut! After Talitha trimmed my blonde (yellow lol) ends my hair looked like I had fresh high lights :) she styled my hair with mousse and devacurl products which I was nervous about because my hair is so thin I didn't wanna have crunchy curls but somehow she knew my hair better than me and made me look so good walking out with bouncy, shiny curls! I will be returning! I tried Stylin' Salon because the Yelp reviews were so good. I should have known when I didn't get my hair washed I was in trouble. Elisabeth dry cut my hair and I could tell she didn't have a lot of confidence in what she was doing - even though she claimed she had many years of experience. I wanted a layered cut. I showed Elisabeth pictures of my layered hair pre-Covid. So what did I get? - a trim of my one length hair with some texturing on the ends. This left me with a choppy uneven haircut. I can't wait to have someone who knows what they're doing to cut my hair correctly. It would have been nice to have my hair washed, blow dried and styled using some styling products but that wasn't my experience today. To top it off, the cost was $45. I even tipped. Why? I don't know. Maybe I felt sorry for her. Elisabeth wasted no time getting on her cell phone and texting before I could finish paying. I thought that was very tacky and frankly rude. My old stylist, who is clearly a profession, only charged $40 for a haircut and washed, blow dried and styled my hair. Being new to the area I was looking for a place for a pedicure and manicure. Well I was delighted to arrive and be greeted right away. Then Tianna took me into the pedicure room which was clean and cozy. We visited and my mani was just as delightful. I highly recommend this salon. Well I wanted to update my review realizing it's been a year! Tianna is someone who has studied and knows what to do with damaged nails! I have been on the south coast of Oregon for almost a month now, but traveling for about five months. That's how long it has been since my last haircut, so I was in desperate need. After reading the reviews on Yelp, I opted to go to Stylin Salon. I am so glad I did! Talitha did a fabulous job on my hair. She discussed with me what I wanted ahead of time, but then made sure that she was on track the entire time she was cutting my hair by chiming in with questions and clarifications as she went. Not only that, she was engaging and friendly. We had a great conversation, and not once during that great conversation did I feel she was at all distracted from my haircut. I loved the end results. What I liked best about Tabitha is that she listened. I was traveling through the area so she didn't know me at all. She listened to what I wanted, what my hair habits are, and she gave me some ideas. We agreed on what she would do, which was not my normal, and then she did it. And it looked great!! She'd never seen me before, she'd never see me again, and she gave me every bit as much care as I assume she'd give her regular customers. Please note the Yelp address is wrong. I have been going to Tabitha since I was 18, I am now turning 26. She is nothing short of a miracle worker! I have moved up to portland and california and will take trips solely based on getting an appointment with her. I had to learn the hard way to not go to anyone else! She is always taking classes, gaining knowledge and working on her technique. We have plans for my hair, she will leave notes in your "hair chart". She takes direction so well, really listens to your needs and desires. She is also such a fun and creative person. Other than Tabitha I have also gotten my nails done here. Gel polish and her sister makes them last for so much longer than other salons Ive been to. The whole vibe of the shop is amazing, everyones talking to eachother, everyone is so lighthearted its just an over all great experience. I ask her for so much hair advice like product, brushes, she is a GURU! If you arent going here you are not going to the right place. As far as price it is VERY FAIR. So much bang for your buck. I was originally looking for a place to get a haircut while in town visiting grandparents and my grandma said she goes here and it was the best price in town so yay! But before I called to make an appointment, they surprised me for an early birthday by paying for cut, color (blonde ombre!), shampoo/conditioner service, then style, and picked some products that I never would buy due to price but it was a treat! I also got my eyebrows done after everything else. So, I called and came to my appointment a day or two later. I arrived and was relieved I was the only one there. It is a small place but big enough for me! I had a few different pictures for cut, color, style, and even my brows (I am one that always brings pictures). Tabitha and Talitha (I think that's her name =/ , they are sisters) got to helping me and we chit chatted the whole time pretty much. In the end, my hair was curled but not like what I wanted in my photo but it was something different than my natural hair so ok, layers is the cut I always get along with some thinning out b/c I have think lion hair and get that cut no matter if I go to my usual gal or anyone else, color I liked but I wanted more of a white blonde (really, white blonde, it's very light in color) at the ends but it's more like a light blonde so..., and then the style I wanted very voluminous all over but with curls (not too tight but still curls that were curled tight and not waves) at the bottom half. I ended up with light curls all over and so....I am not sure what to say. My brows looked like a Wooki (not really but they needed done) and Tabitha waxed them and I went back over at home to shape and get other hairs out. I have got this great place in Sac so will go there soon. Anyway, the staff was very nice, even offered to run and get me some Dutch Brothers (since there is not Sbux) and they do an amazing job on my grandmas hair w/ her cut and color! But I didn't get *exactly* what I wanted and am picky =/ I am very grateful and should have been more clear as to what I wanted or made sure they understood clearly. Anyway, go here because the other shops are OUTRAGEOUS in price!!! I would say 4 stars overall for the effort, cool and nice staff, and color and cut being mostly what I wanted but not 100%. P.S. I am new to the area and needed to find a good Salon and read about Stylin Salon here on Yelp. It has great reviews so I thought I'd give it a try. I was not disappointed. I had my hair colored and trimmed by Tabitha yesterday. She is wonderful. Old color was in my hair and didn't looked good. Tabitha put new color in and it mixed together very well. Looks great! Also, I saw Tatiana for gel nails. She did an awesome job! They are very outgoing and friendly. I will make this my Salon for hair and nails and highly recommend Stylin Salon. read more

On an RV trip up the coast and needed a nail fill. Yelped salons and this looked the best. Totally awesome service and Tatianna was super friendly. She did an excellent job and we jabbered the whole time. Hands done so well I decided to return today for a spa pedicure. Smart decision! The products used by Tatianna were great, especially the mint infused lotion (or whatever it was). We yakked the whole time again and she gave me some great local restaurant recommendations. Once again I received an excellent precision short hair cut that followed the photos I provided exactly. These girls really are as good as any "big city" salon. This was my first visit after leaving my long time stylist in southern CA. Tabitha did a great job on my hair. I was a little leery as I am picky about it. I was not very good at explaining how my old stylist colored my hair, but Tabitha asked me the right questions and figured out it was a weave. both she and Talitha (sp?) were very nice and made me feel very comfortable.
