This salon is my new favorite salon in town. The hair stylist has a lot of experience and knows what looks good in each individual. He is specific in what products to use depending on the type of hair and make sure to not damage your hair from the service. My hair turned out better than what I had envisioned and definitely recommend it. They charge $60 for female hair cut which is a bit on pricey side compared to other Korean hair salons, but I think it's worth it. Men's hair cut is $25 and he does a great job as well. read more

Please beware of Dae Cho aka "Peter" - the owner. I walked out feeling dirty and violated. Once the hair cut was done, he blatantly pulled the front side of my shirt open and blow dried down my shirt. His excuse was that I had gotten a short hair cut so he wanted to clean off the hair but I told him it is fine and that I will dust it off myself, which he completely ignored. I have had many hair cuts (short or not) in my lifetime and I have never had an experience like this and the worst part is, he continued to do so even after I told him to stop. Unfortunately, I wasn't the only one who dealt with this type of behavior from this guy. Two of my friends were also violated by the same stylist where one's breasts were actually cupped even after being told to stop and then he tried to play it off by saying he needed to adjust the cape which doesn't make any sense. It also seems non- English speaking Korean women are his main target. Found a forum where many women shared various forms of sexual violations by this guy. This place needs to shut down and there needs to be legal ramifications so that he could never do this in our city or anywhere else ever again. I came here after scouring the internet for a good hairstylist. I checked google and Yelp to make what I thought was an informed decision. I was wrong. It has been a few weeks and I am haunted by my nightmare of an experience. When I arrived he was the only stylish and had just an assistant doing hair washing. There were clients ahead of me getting perms, but they had already been taken care of and the perms were processing. I was sat down and saw hair all over the countertop and beneath my chair. I thought to myself it's okay they're busy. I understood he was probably over tired from being the only hair dresser that day and I did not ask for anything difficult. Basic layers with some movements in my hair. He confidentially reassured me that I would get the cut I wanted- I did not. Far from it. I am disheartened and deeply disappointed. My hair is in shambles and I lost so much length when I had initially asked to maintain my length. He kept cutting it shorter and shorter. He started to pick up random sections of my hair to " blend " in the layers and began to thin out my hair with a dull shear, so it kept getting caught on my hair and pulled on the hair. I was getting so upset, but sat through that traumatizing experience because I couldn't walk out with half cut hair. To make matters worse because of all the snagging on my hair I have damages to the hair. Then to top off the horror he did not use any heat protectant on my hair before blow drying on such a high heat setting that I felt the burn on my scalp when it was exposed. Then when he asked me what I thought of my hair cut I just wanted to cry. I wish he would have told me that he was overwhelmed or too tired. The service I received felt rushed, inattentive and as though he just wanted to cut my hair and get it out of the way. Don't be me. Do your research. read more

I don't think this place is closed...since I just went in 2022. They may have marked it closed bc they didn't want negative backlash. I would say that Peter is a good hair stylist, and I do like the cuts that I've gotten there. However, as the 2 previous women have noted, he does make inappropriate comments and may make women feel uncomfortable. He didn't touch me inappropriately, but he would make comments about how I'm cute, what kind of girls he likes (even though he's married), etc. I just kind of ignore it, but if you're going there as a female, just beware. His wife, Jane, does lashes, and I would say that there are better places. At other places, they usually clean my lashes first with soap and water, but not here...Their prices are also higher than what I usually pay. read more

First time being at KAWI, besides the fact that the owner and Eugene had done an excellent job on the boys, I loved how Eugene with such ease and confidence and humor without making me feel like I was a total mess ( I really was..) suggested I get a hair makeover too. They are open Monday- Saturday. I took my mom and sister for some girl time and we were really glad we came here. Peter gave us some really great tips and we walked out feeling like a whole new person! He gave us his honest feedback on our requests and gave us even more than what we had expected.
