On Instagram, I came upon Valentina's work and saw how she was able to transform dark colored hair into a beautiful blonde. Without hesitation, I reached out to her, and she responded quickly! She broke down the information of what was needed (time, money, and procedure) and she was able to schedule me an appointment in the days that followed. When I walked in, I was in awe from the beautiful new set up that they had. I was greeted with a smile and felt at ease. Valentina sat me down and worked her magic. Essentially, it was a three hour process that did not seem that long. In the picture provided, you can see how my hair went from pitch black to blonde! I was scared because I had read reviews that stated that some people burn their scalps, but it didn't happen. I came to see Lori after a poor highlight job that I had done at another salon and I am so happy that I did. I had a botched highlight and lowlight job that I truly that was not fixable. I decided to go to Lori after reading all of her positive reviews and I can't say enough positive things about my experience. Lori is more than a hair stylist, she truly is an artist and a master at her craft. She went above and beyond by squeezing me in and taking time out of her Saturday night to fix my hair. I have been getting highlights done for a long time previously in NYC and no one has ever pointed out that I have a lot of red in my hair which makes a big difference with the colors choices that are made. I hired Lori, Leslie and Val to do hair and makeup for my wedding this past weekend at the Bronx Zoo, and I could have not been more pleased with how the process went. First of all, I had 3 trials done prior to wedding day to perfect my hair with Lori. I had 2 trials with Leslie for makeup and each time, we improved the look. There was a clear schedule prior to wedding day on when everyone would go, and because of this, Lori and her team were timely on getting everyone done in a short time allotted. On wedding day, my hair and makeup, as well as that of my bridesmaids, my mom and my husband's mom/grandma was just perfect. We got so many compliments on how gorgeous we all looked. Lori Fagan, Owner came in early TWICE to blow out my hair when my father just recently died. She was here by 7:30am and I showed up at 8am. TWICE!! Aside from that, you can expect a flawless, seamless experience with your color, cuts, facials, advanced make-up and hair, or ANY additional range of services. The Salon itself is gorgeous and while Lori/SG is very COVID-conscientious.. everyone is spread out - comfortably. I am a tough critic believe me. These ladies are so amazing! I had been doing bleach blonde by myself for about a year and had horrible experiences at other salons, but I called asking if they could squeeze me in last minute to try and do some color correction for my prom. They were so nice and worked about as close to a hair miracle a person can get. They're all so friendly and work so hard to make clients happy. Lori is truly a hair styling genius. She saved my hair after it had been damaged from past hair treatments. I thought the damage was irreversible, but Lori's cutting techniques helped my broken hair grow back normally, and her magic sleek treatment smoothed the damaged areas. I naturally have very course and frizzy hair, but the treatment made it smooth and manageable. I no longer have to worry about how frequently I wash it or spend lots of time straightening/ blow drying.
