I made all of my 2026 appts in January 2026 so I had the appts I needed for the year. I go in approximately every 6 weeks. In March I made it for my Birthday so I would have my hair done for celebrating. The receptionist calls to cancel my appointment because my stylist is going on an unplanned vacation (one of their kids gave them the trip as a gift for Christmas so why did they even schedule my appt in March if they knew in December they would be gone) and doesn't even try to fit me in, just says I can schedule with another stylist. Let me add to this that I have extremely difficult hair to cut and style. Not just "anyone" can do it. So I'm left high and dry for my Birthday. Now I have a June 1st appt scheduled and I find out today, May 26, that another vacation has taken priority over my appt and again they cannot fit me in before he leaves. When someone charges $108 for a haircut you expect some professionalism and customer service. Could the stylist call and try to fit me in? Nope. Makes the receptionist do his dirty work. Maybe he should just retire and vacation all he wants rather than make appts he doesn't keep. He never used to do until this last year. I am finding there are much friendlier, very talented and more customer service oriented salons in White Bear than this one and they aren't as expensive. Would not recommend based on the non existent concern about their clients schedules/needs. Overpriced for what you don't get in my opinion.

She is great and my hair has never looked better. I can't say enough good things about her and Kerastase. Trust her judgment. She is fun and knows her stuff. The Salon is full of the nicest people and it's a beautiful salon without being stuffy and snooty. You feel comfortable being there and almost feel bad when it's time to leave. I have paid attention to other clients, women of all ages, men and children getting their hair done. Haven't seen a bad one yet. I just am so glad I found Revive and Amanda. After 15 minutes she said she was done and it didn't look great so I asked her to take some more off. she does, and I get up and leave with an ok haircut. Until later when I get home I realize the left side of my hair is at least a few centimeters longer than the right. She also cut less off the top of my left side. I had a haircut with Brie about a year ago and I got a much better haircut than now. Seems like she rushed my cut to get me out of there. i Paid $65 not including tip for a great clips haircut. I first started doing business with them in 1999 while I was still in HS and they were seated next to Kodiak coffee in Forest Lake... I've had phenomenal hairstylists' as well as not so great over the years. Within the last two years I've started going again more regularly since I decided to put some blonde back in my hair. Jordan is great. She has an awesome personality and she listens well. She doesn't tell you what to do or talk down to you. I highly recommend her in particular. I have had some issues over the years. They've been enough to keep me a way for a while, but somehow I end up always going back. I did however have one issue in particular that management handled well. I've been happy with the overall management and clearly they are doing something right, as there are a few faces that have been there since I started going in the 90s! I do think you will be overall happy going to La Grande Salon. They also have a cute little store within that's worth checking out.

We even asked repeatedly "can you do this" and both hairstylists repeatedly stated "yes". Well, we paid $135 for haircuts that look nothing like our pictures, a trim that is to the skin, jagged cuts and uneven fades. By the time we noticed anything it was too late. Proceeded to get a cut for my son and the First Lady completely butchered his hair. No where close to what we asked for in the picture. Continued to try to show her the picture and explain what a fade is, she just seemed to ignore me! My son had to itch his face many times because his hair was falling in his eyes and she wouldn't even stop to let him itch and proceeded to get hair all over his clothes. Didn't bother accommodating even when I asked her to stop for a moment! She gave up half way and didn't even finish, started talking in another language to the other lady. Never experienced anything like this in my life, she was unprofessional. She couldn't do a normal fade and had patchy spots where she took off too much in some areas and uneven on both sides. The other lady did a much better job but unfortunately the fade didn't look professional at the end but at least she fixed it as best she could. If I knew they were this bad I would've and could do a better job cutting it myself. Very disappointing outcome! On top of the horrible job they charged 25$ for the kids haircuts, I felt bad for the other lady that had to try to fix it so at least tipped her but the First Lady with the scary eyebrows was horrendous, & unprofessional.
