My hair felt incredibly soft, smooth, and healthy, and the style came out exactly how I wanted; polished but still natural. Went to Mer Headspa only. This was the single greatest experience of my life, not even kidding and I'd fly across the country for this happily (and to visit my friend)! I have never been so relaxed after a spa treatment or massage. I felt cared for and the pressure was just right. The lady who did my service was so sweet and could tell I really appreciated her. I said thank you no less than a dozen times and laid there on the table with a smile. I want this weekly, forever. 10/10 would recommend to not just women but men too. This is too good to keep a secret, even though it's one large room with privacy curtains between stations it was clean, quiet, and I don't think I could rave about this experience more. Review is strictly for the head spa services. I had seen head spas being very popular in Japan and Korea so I was very excited for my first experience. Upon arrival, I was directed to a private area separate from the main salon. Robes were provided and they had lockers for you to put away your personal items. After that, you're led to the service area that has multiple stations with curtain separating each. I was concerned about noise and privacy but it actually felt very private and quiet with light music. I decided to try the Ultimate which is 90 minutes. My service was relaxing but I wished there was more scalp massage and less focus on a face massage. They started out focusing on your face, shoulders and some neck but I was there for the scalp massage so I just wanted more of that. Hair drying is also not part of the service but I rather air dry usually so not an issue for me. Plus my hair also felt amazing for days afterwards thanks to the extra conditioning treatments. This review is for Met Head Spa: I went with a few girlfriends and it was a great experience! One of the girls was late but other than that we all got to start around the same time. There are rooms to change into and small lockers to put your belongings. I wish the space was bigger given the hair salon is connected to it. I got the ultimate and I was hoping hair drying was included given it is the most expensive service. However, the experience was amazing. My hair felt great afterwards and I noticed a difference for sure in my scalp. I would probably opt out of the facial next time because the hair treatment is much better I feel like. REVIEW FOR MER HEAD SPA MER Head Spa is inside Salon Doremi. We were checked in at Salon Doremi, then taken to another area that was very relaxing and playing soft music. Decor was awesome. An employee came out and gave instructions as to what attire was needed for the service. A smock type top was provided. Lockers are provided for your belongings. Believe me it is needed your shoulders will get wet during the shampoo. Walking back to the service area was dark, soft music playing and very peaceful. There are curtains between each station. You select your service during the appointment process. The shampoo/head massage was awesome. The only complaint I have is the table you lay on is very hard. Not good for someone with back problems. This is a review for the Mer Head Spa, and u went with the scalp rejuvenating treatment. Upon entering, I was greeted with smiles at the front desk and filled out a questionnaire on my hair and massage preferences. I was then taken to the back and shown one of the changing rooms to put on my towel and leave my belongings. Afterwards, I was guided to my station. It started off with a nice back massage with a calming oil and then she began the scalp treatment. I really liked the exfoliant and amount of time that was taken to exfoliate my scalp and the head massage that came with it. She then washed my hair and even cleaned my ears and finally applied the hydration mask. While the mask was being absorbed into my hair, she gave me a relaxing arm massage which got all the kinks out! After washing my hair, she then had me sit up and proceeded to give me a back massage before finishing with the hot towel wrap. I didn't go for a blowout but there are head dryers to dry your hair. Overall, I was super impressed and plan on coming back here anytime I need a relaxing activity. I also really liked all the products used which smelled really good. The room was also dark with some nice spa music playing in the background which made it super easy to fall asleep to! It took a little over an hour, and I look forward to the next time I visit! read more

I wanted to be clear that this review is only for the Mer Head Spa experience and not the salon as a whole. I gave them 2 stars because of the following: 1. Location: I'm not from the area so the location is a bit far for me, but I didn't account for the distance in my evaluation. The location is in a small center. I put the address in Waze and got a bit lost, so I recommend using apple maps. 2. Setting: the salon is pretty with barn doors and floor length mirrors. 3. Head Spa experience: After we got in, we were promptly welcomed and given some paperwork to fill out, then was taken through the barn doors to a quiet, darken area. We were given a half rob to changed into. Our service staff were both friendly. My 2 stars is really for the experience as a whole and not for the staff member. I thought she did a great job, but what I didn't like was the fact that although it is a good concept, the execution of the concept was lacking. They spend more time on your facial wash(?) then your scalp massage. You are also given an arm and partial back massage. I was not expecting that since I really wanted a scalp massage. What I thought was odd was the fact that they didn't offering a blow out at the end, but instead informed us that there is a drying station in the front. Given that we paid for the highest priced experience, we figured we wouldn't need to walk out the salon with wet hair in the middle of winter or had to dry our own hair. It left me a bit annoyed given that I went for a head spa day. The hair mask wasn't anything special, my hair felt the same before and after the experience. It didn't get any softer. 4. Price: for $125 I was expecting a little bit more. Overall, I wouldn't go back, but it's an experience so I do recommend that you at least try it out for yourself. I've tried Dry Bar blow out + head massage and would be going back to Dry Bar for my next head spa day. read more

It was time for a change. It's always a scary thing when you're seeking a new hair stylist, and I was definitely nervous, but the reviews here were so good that I decided to chance it. I'm so glad I did! My stylist, Mijin, was awesome, so sweet, and very honest about what she felt she could do with my hair. I got partial highlights, but next time will do full. She took her time, even though I know I went past close and she made the cutest beach waves to finish it off. She's also the Kerastase brand ambassador for the store...how cool is that?! I left with very little breakage, as processing can do that...and I have had so many compliments on my hair. Also, the beach waves lasted way longer than anticipated. Look no further...this salon was tops! You can tell Mijin really cares about her profession and listens to what you want done. I am so thankful to have found her, and will be spreading the word! read more

My husband surprised me with a 90 minute scalp massage/facial for my birthday. It was incredible. I was taken to a room to change into a robe and then brought to a bed where the lady helped me get under a warm blanket and situate myself so that my head was laying towards an end that was over this large sink. The next 90 minutes we're spent in total relaxation. I had an extremely relaxing facial that included a neck massage and wonderful use of essential oils. The scalp massage included hair brushing and then all kinds of shampooing and conditioning. The scalp exfoliating process was kindof intense but felt so good. They clean your scalp incredibly well. I felt so good and so clean when I left!!! Afterwards my lady took me to a self hair dying station so I could dry my hair before I left. I can't wait to go back! Mer Head Spa within this salon was a nice experience. The scalp rejuvenation package was excellent and the ladies that services the head spa are sweet. However, I would NOT recommend the blow out add-on. The person that does your blow out are not the stylists or someone who is experienced in blowing hair out. Me and my friend had the blow out after the scalp treatment and the person I had was clumsy and unskilled with blowing hair out- burning my scalp with the dryer and his fingers kept poking my eye and ear. It was very frustrating and uncomfortable. In the end, my hair was so flat, no volume. My friend had a girl that did not give any volume to her blow out either. I wish we did not get the blow out add on because IT WAS NOT WORTH IT. We could tell they were complete amateurs, which is disappointing because we are paying for a professional blowout service so why are we not getting professional blowout service? My dad took me to the same salon for over a decade since we moved down here but in recent years, the quality gradually downgraded. Now that I can drive myself, I was searching for a new place to try out and this place was one of the top searches on google. Katie was the one who did my hair and my lord, did I discover how much time and money I wasted on the previous salons I went to. My hair is dark so I've been told that all the colors I chose (even average colors that were not pastel at all) were too light for my hair and that I'd have to jeopardize its integrity to achieve what I want. Therefore, I always settled for darker colors that I didn't initially want (but I still like it enough to wear out). Katie was able to lift my hair at least eight levels in one sitting WITHOUT additional heat. I had my hair completely DEMOLISHED before (seriously, if the bleach in your hair starts POPPING, there's no going back) and I've been apprehensive ever since. Not only did my hair lift so quickly and easily but I was finally able to get the color I wanted without being suggested to try a darker color. I wanted a bright, fun, fiery orange and Katie really made my dreams come true. It's a long drive since I live an hour away, but the drive was so worth it and I will continue to seek this place out for my hair dreams. Thank you so much, Katie! You're amazing! read more

Do NOT see Kelsey for hair coloring! This is what I get for making an appointment last minute, when I had to cancel with my regular stylist at another AWESOME salon in Roswell. Overcharged and not happy!!! I was very specific with what I wanted to cover my 15-20% gray. Foils woven with dark Goldwell color with MINIMAL highlights throughout. She's super young with only a couple of years experience, so I should have listened to my gut and walked right then... She did NOT pull the color all the way through. When I asked, she said this was to help not damage my hair. I thought, "Well, okay? Makes sense." HOWEVER, she didn't pull through some the highlights either! Holy cow! This resulted in chunks of blonde near my head with dark for the remaining long hair! What?! It was evident on my fallen face, when my hair emerged, that I wasn't happy. "Maybe it will blend better when it dries", she says. Seriously?! Blocks of blonde WILL NOT blend when dried. Which of course it didn't. Also, as I previously mentioned, I wanted MINIMAL highlights. She pretty much highlighted my entire crown! Nope! Not happy! She offered to recolor my crown, did I have the time? No! But I do now! She applied a handful of foils and especially that "problem spot". Wait for it to set again and wash and blow dry. Still too many highlights but NOT going to let her touch my hair a third time! Go to check out and they want to charge me the full price of $160! Seriously?! Plus, it's an extra $45 to have her had blow dry, which was NEVER mentioned to me! I ask for a manager and all she's willing to do is 15% off. So, I leave unhappy and $130 less in my pocket. Avoid here at all costs!!!! Horrible customer service! read more

This is for Mer Aqua head spa located inside Salon Doremi. Overall this experience was just ok. I truly wanted to love it but unfortunately that was not the case. The head rest left the back of my head bruised and extremely tender for a week. It is not cushioned and very hard. The room was clean and my scalp felt fresh but the bruising was honestly unacceptable for me. When you first check in, you are shown to the locker area and there is a locker with the key to put your belongs, which was nice. They then lead you to the treatment room which was exactly as portrayed on social media. A shared space of about 5-6 beds with curtains separating everyone. It felt private and was relatively quiet. It appeared clean and hygienic. The facial portion was not great. There was cleanser in my eyes and water in my ears. I have never had a professional use a water hose to spray directly on my face or in my ears and there is a reason why. It's awful. After we were done, the spa technician walked me back to the changing room with no directive as to what to do with the towel she wrapped my hair in or the wrap for the top half of my body. The check out person had an attitude. The self service blow dry station seemed ok but the brushes were disgusting and filled with hair and product residue. I'm not talking about a few hairs from whoever was there earlier, I mean CLUMPS of hair in the brush. I understand it's a self service station so things happen but if you're going to market as a luxury experience, maybe clean the hair off the brushes. I literally sat down and stood right back up to leave so I could dry at home. This place has the potential to be great but improvements are absolutely needed. I left sore and feeling diminished by the attitude of the check out gentleman and technician, which is not a feeling that equates to a repeating customer. read more

I wanted natural looking highlights and a trim and this is what I got, $160 later. I called the salon the next day about being really unhappy with these tiger stripes and they said they could get me in with the SAME stylist a week later to fix it. I asked about another stylist and they said they'd then have to charge me again. I have non-stop stressed about it since I left the salon. It looks even worse when it's up in a pony tail. I wouldn't recommend and I definitely regret going. The salon employees were super nice and the location was great, but it'll cost me another $150+ to have this fixed elsewhere. This unassuming hair salon is ran by an experienced hair salonist that knows what she is doing. Our short conversation revealed that her clients are "word of mouth" customers and she has been cutting hair for close to 20 years. I stumbled upon this hair salon by chance for I needed a hair cut for a wedding I had to attend to and could not travel to Duluth to get it done. However I was more than pleased while she handled her hair tools with precision and end results speaks for itself. Back story about myself I am a virgo and like all virgos I am very meticulous about getting my hair cut a certain way. The entire front portion of my hair was significantly shorter than the back. She also removed all the face framing pieces from my pre-existing bangs. I actually followed my stylist, Amy, here after she left her old salon, and I'm so glad I did! Not only does Amy highlight and style my hair like no one else can (she's been doing it for 8 years!), but the salon is absolutely beautiful. It's very chic and always spotless. They have drinks and snacks available, which I always appreciate. My favorite part of this salon is that they use high quality products on my hair. I get my hair highlighted every six weeks, and Amy always has the best products to use on me. I like that it's not even always the same product, she uses whatever is the newest and best hair product available and it really makes a huge difference. I feel like when you pay for an upscale hair treatment, you deserve the best! I have been coming to this salon for 6 years now and I have never been so pleased! The inside is beautiful, and modern. The chairs are even comfortable! The staff is amazing, they always have smiles and offer their customers something to drink. The receptionists are always so kind and helpful. The hair stylists are all so nice and are very experienced. They all have beautiful hair and you can tell they are really good at what they do. My specific stylist is Tricia, she has been my stylist for the whole 6 years. Let me tell you, her personality is what lights the place up. She is funny, sweet, and smart. She saved my hair when I first came to see her, and she has taken care of it ever since. She knows exactly what I like and keeps notes on the colors I use. People always say my highlights look natural and blend perfectly. I could tell her to whatever with my hair and it would turn out amazing. It takes a true artist to pull that off. I have been coming back to Salon Doremi for 4 years now. The best stylist by far is AMY!!! I walked into the salon with orange hair 4 years ago after trying one of the home dying kits.....My hair was a disaster and the scariest orange color ever!!!!!! She not only fixed it, but gave me highlights and low lights of the best coloring job I have ever had. She also gave me a different haircut with layers and shaped it up! I keep coming back and trust her completely with my hair. I don't have to even tell her what I want....I walk in, sit down and she transforms! I feel like a super model when I walk out! Everyone there is extremely nice, but Amy stands out as the best stylist I've ever had. If she ever leaves, I will have to travel to have her cut and highlight my hair. They also have a spa that is connected. I have gotten a pedicure, manicure and also a massage. They did a fantastic job!!!! Everyone is extremely professional and overwhelmingly nice! WORST NAIL SALON!!! I came to Do Re Mi nail salon for a manicure and pedicure on a friday afternoon. They were busy (and clearly understaffed), and I was told my wait time would be no more than 10 minutes. Well that 10 minutes turned into 45 minutes! Just as I was about to leave, they sat my friend and I in a spa chair where we waited another 10 minutes. Did I mention they didnt even sanitize the tub from the lady before me? Disgusting! I had asked for the regular manicure and pedicure, whereas my friend wanted to deluxe spa pedicure package. Not only was the older woman who was doing my pedicure pushy ,she was also clearly rushing through it. She didnt seem happy I was not upgrading my pedicure like my friend had, and therefore it showed in her performance. She barely filed and scrubbed my feet. Runing through so quickly that she cut my cuticles-twice. She also rushed through my manicure in a very sloppy fashion. One of the worst nail salon experiences I have ever had. You would think they would be better considering they are attatched to an upscale hair salon. But like so many others, they are more concerned with money than repeat customers. I will never return, and will warn all my friends to stay away from this nail salon. read more
