Ok, I have got two haircuts there. First one was excellent by Quinn. She was attentive, careful, patient, and takes her time to cut my hair. She also washed my hair before and after. She spent a good 45 minutes with me. Second time, Anetra cut my hair. She first refused to wash my hair before the cut. I have very thick hair and after a night's sleep, my hair was all over the place. So I asked her if she can wash my hair, but she said she only washes after.... Then I noticed her cutting skill was pretty rusty.... Given the cost of the haircut, I could have gone to any barber to get this type of cut... I was disappointed. The fade was mediocre and the blend between the fade area to top was very amateur level. I asked to point cut my hair to thin it out, but my hair was thick as hell after. Wife was not happy after this one. I guess depends on who cuts your hair, you can either get a decent one or shitty one. The ambience is ok, website design is attractive, they have drinks you can enjoy, but remember why you go to a barber - "to get a decent haircut". Don't think I will throw my money away like that. After 2 weeks, I urgently need a new haircut now. Will look for a new place. Feel like the place has gone down since early days. Disappointed. read more

An "A" level space offering "C" level results. Came here a couple times when off cycle and unable to visit my usual salon/stylist due to travel. Following my first visit, my colleague's comment was, "Did you get a haircut at a new place?" After responding with a yes, her response was, "Don't go back." Against my better judgement and well overdue for a haircut, I went back a few months later. Today, the day after, my family member asked me if I have an appointment to get my hair cut. It's as if I didn't even get a haircut. Now I have to drive 40 mins each way this weekend and fork over another $50 to go elsewhere for a legitimate haircut only two days after getting a "haircut" at Jonpaul's. It's an establishment with much promise but inexcusably poor execution. read more

Words cannot express how happy I am that my wife this place for me. The build out is beautiful and like an old world Gentleman's club. Abrianna is my style councilor and is amazing. I'm a huge fan of grooming lounges and have been to them across the country, but Jonpaul's is something special. The decor is classic southern and warm. It has an antique feel with leather, dark wood, brass, and marble. The staff are friendly and welcoming. They all have that "southern girl who's going to take care of y'all" vibe. I got the one hour shave which had multiple steps and even different lighting during the process. She used the best products and latest technology in what looked like an antique barber's chair. I loved it. Jonpaul's is hand's down the best grooming lounge I've been to. It's worth the drive from Atlanta. Ladies if your man is looking a little rough he'd enjoy this place and it's manly southern style. Nothing pretentious or girly here. Just visited for the first time for my haircut with Kelly. Was greeted when I entered and offered a drink while I waited since I was early. The waiting area is nice and the whole shop is very tastefully decorated. Kelly was great and discussed what I was looking for and made great suggestions so that I ended up with a great new look that my wife also loves. I have been seeing her for a while now--I honestly had some trepidation at first, since I was pretty sure I needed a dude just out of prison, or with a neck tattoo, or a Dominican barber--but this girl seriously knows her way around clippers, and she has the right eye and touch for smooth, even, balanced transitions. Just as important, she can keep you in a wicked beard game. There are only a couple other places in the city you might even bother. So pick Angela, she is dealing out the freshies--be sure and get an appointment since she books up fast. This is the first, and likely the last review I'll bother to write. First, this place went above and beyond my expectations. I am never going to go to a different place to get my haircut as long as I am living in the area. During my first visit here, which was today, I got a haircut and manscaping. Second, if you're anything like me, you are hopeless when it comes to explaining what kind of cut you want. And even when you think you have a marginally good explanation going, the "chop shops" always get something lost in translation. When I went to Jonpaul's I just asked the fine woman cutting my hair, Mary Ellen, what she thought would look good on me, and we talked things out and she went for it. Hands down the best haircut I've ever had. The entire haircut took 60 minutes, and boy, it is relaxing as ****. I'll be honest, I got pretty smashed the night before, and was hungover for a good part of the morning. Taking advantage of these guys' complimentary beverages (2 espressos), as well as the extremely relaxing atmosphere of my surroundings (plus the relaxing nature of the haircut-you get a massage after it........yeah) my hangover was cured. I noticed some people enjoying a variety of beverages while getting their haircut, not one frown in that place I tell ya. I'll be coming back, I'll be letting my buddies know about this place too. Make sure you're not late, I had an appointment at 2:30 traffic was heavy and I was at the intersection in front of the salon at 2:35. I was five minutes late and I got a call on my cell phone from the salon asking where I was, I told them I was at the intersection in front of their salon but they still canceled my appointment because I was just running too behind for her to be able to provide my services. I had referred four people as clients to the salon in the past and I was coming to the salon on a gift certificate from an existing client of theirs. I will never return. read more
