3/3/26 I was nicely greeted when I entered Reesha for the first time ever. I walked back to meet Leona whom I requested online when I made my appointment. Leona was very kind, not overwhelming With questions. She did ask me first off what I wanted to do with my hair. When I told her that all I wanted was a scissor cut, not too short. She understood and set out to do exactly what I wanted. I appreciated that! I was very pleased with the work she did. She paid close attention to details, and she asked me everything before she did it. I most certainly appreciated that! I am very happy with the cut, and would definitely go back to have her style my hair again. I liked the vibe of the shop. I was made very comfortable, and Leona was the big reason. I will be back, and I highly recommend Leona! read more

If I could give zero stars--or better yet, negative stars--I absolutely would. This place is an absolute disgrace to the word "barbershop." I've now had the misfortune of trying both of their locations--one for each of my sons--and both visits were a complete nightmare. My sons walked out with butchered haircuts that looked like someone was either guessing their way through it or actively trying to ruin their appearance. And I paid $65 each for this garbage. Let's be clear: these people have no talent, no eye for style, and no clue what they're doing. It's not just that they don't listen--they can't even execute the basics. The haircuts took forever--painfully long for something that should've been simple--and yet the results looked rushed and careless. That's some kind of twisted magic: taking forever and still delivering an absolute mess. And it's not just a lack of skill--it's the complete absence of professionalism. No friendliness, no attention to detail, no pride in their work. At one location, the barber couldn't even speak English well enough to understand what we were asking for, which made the experience even more frustrating. How is someone supposed to cut hair to your preferences if they literally can't comprehend what you're saying? Both of my sons had to go straight to a real hair professional afterward to have their hair fixed--and even she was stunned by how bad the original cuts were. I've seen a lot of bad service in my life, but this was next-level incompetence. I will be leaving this review on every platform and for both locations so that no one else has to waste their money, time, and sanity here. Avoid this place like the plague. read more

There web site does not work to allow me to schedule an appointment. This has been happening for months.

The female ) barber did not listen to a word I said...grabbed the shears and went straight up the back of my head. I said Holy crap and she said sorry it's too short....too late. I'll never go back. read more

Walked in for the first time. Not a good impression. Owner Reesa did not formally greet me, did not smile and rudely informed me she could not make a male barber available to me. Walked out and won't be back. Too many other places to choose from. read more

Fastest haircut and beard lineup I've had- the reason why is that it was rushed and is the worst razor burn I have had in years. In retrospect I would have paid NOT to have this haircut. Handling was very rough, nicked me twice, and happened during non- rush times. read more

I was served by San and provide directions to how I wanted my haircut and he nailed it. The place inside is wonderful and smells so good You pay $25 for the haircut . You book through the website via schedulicity so you can have it on your phone. It was the first time there and I was very pleased with the service and the interiors I checked other customers' haircuts made by other staff members and they seemed good as well. Hurry up, close the doors. Lol. So literally, I put my name on the "list" 40 mins ago. Figured, he I didn't make an appointment so I'll just sit here and be patient. Then I notice a barber came near the list, some guy sitting down saw her, she said I don't have anybody and she takes him. So after another 10 mins of standing at the cash register unacknowledged, I ask a barber who came up to cash someone out how do I find out how much longer I have to wait (as did another person) and she said I don't know. She also said (after I asked) who handles this greeting station, the person quit and threw her hands up. Only come here if you have an established relationship and make an appointment. Otherwise your business doesn't matter enough for any of them to give a shit. If the business is important to either the owner or the lead, they would figure it out and suck it up and figure out a way how the customers don't have to suffer for their shortcomings. PS - As a customer don't settle for a shitty experience. You only enable business to deliver shit service and blame the pandemic. This goes for all business. read more

The Alpharetta Barber Shop is my go to if I am looking for a good haircut and clean look. I have seen several of their stylists/barbers over the years but my last couple have been from Sounie. She does a great job but honestly have not experienced a bad haircut there. I would give you one word of caution at a barber shop and that is they normally will cut your hair shorter than they do at a hair salon as they really are looking for that clean look. read more

I have no idea how this has such good ratings - I went in to get a fade 0 to 2 - the haircut I got literally is so bad. To start this is not a fade 0 to 3 this is a straight buzz cut on the side, the top is literally uneven half of it is really long half of it is like buzz cut (I'm not joking) - the haircut was worse then great clips - I would not recommend coming here and if you do get REALLY good clarity on what they're doing read more

Sometimes a dude's gotta be a dude, and a true barber shop--that offers hot shaves--is a terrific place to be a dude. I tried ABS shortly after I relocated to OTP Atlanta, and have gotten a dynamite cut everytime I've gone. Ben (Behzad) is my usual barber. If Ben is out of town, I ask for Kia. Both these guys do exceptional work, even on hard-to-cut hair like mine. Super straight, fine...thinning (dangit). Very easy to screw up. They've done a great job every time. ABS is such an enjoyable experience, I take Biotin to make my hair grow faster so I can go back sooner. Tip #1: make an appointment, it's an extra $2, and to get in with the really popular cutters, it's worth it. Tip #2: if you've never had a barber shop hot shave, you gotta try it...at least once. read more

I'm so disappointed to have to write this review as I was hoping this experience was going to be better. I'm new to Georgia and was looking for a new barber. Checked Yelp, this place has 4+ stars so thought I was in for a treat. My barber was awful... she was rough with the razor (neck bleeding in several places) and my haircut was awful. She was also very rude, and didn't make me feel comfortable. Sadly I'm never going back. Gave 2 stars instead of 1 hoping I just had a barber having a bad day. read more

DO NOT USE MAE. I used to really love this place, and most of the barbers are really really good. I also hate creating a post like this but people have to know. DO NOT USE MAE, I cannot stress that enough. Terrible attitude, and terrible skills. She butchered my hair RIGHT before a huge overseas wedding with hundreds of photos. Took 0 direction from me, lopped hair off where I told her not to, hard part was HORRIBLE, with very obvious lines that were not supposed to be there on either side of it, and she uses dill blades which caused my head to break out with bumps all over it (this has literally never happened to me before, despite me getting the same tight fade for the last decade). I hate to write such a harsh review because its not the business, but they need to let her go or have her retrained. read more

Hmmmmmm. The universe is working. Started robo-dialing local barbershops to get a fix on the best beard person around. First call was this shop, and May picked up quickly with an energetic "Alpharetta Barber Shop." So far, so good. I replied with "With whom am I speaking" To which May replied again "Alpharetta Barber Shop." I replied "Am I engaging with a "barber shop" or a person? I'm asking for your name." I could almost feel the "eye roll" through the phone before she finally told me who she was.. Problem #1... we as a society are not interested in other human beings any more. Not willing to project ourselves into their situations, approach them with empathy. Problem #2. I still don't know if Alpharetta Barber Shop has a great beard shaper, a real artiste! I need one, becausee this is my first beard, and I'm 63. Stopped shaving on November 22, so this thing has been a living, breathing entity for over four months now. I've already been told that it is EPIC. Some have asked who's been shaping it up for me? I'm the only one that has taken scissors to this thing in 120 PLUS days, and I need SOMEBODY, a VAN GOGH, so to speak. Final stars will be awarded later. read more

I called in and made an appointment. When I arrived, the GPS had taken me to the wrong location (LA Fitness). I called because I was having difficulty finding the barber shop, and let them know I was running a few minutes late because of the GPS issue. Back Open, Taking All Precautions, and Delivering the Best Haircuts Once Again! I have been a loyal customer of ABS for over 9 years...now that I'm married with 3 kids, I bring my 4 year-old twin boys to Sam every month in addition to my own regular stops. Just today, the 3 of us got back in for a much needed trim and Sam was there smiling as always, happy to see us. I had read on the website ahead of our appointments that certain measures were in place to protect both patron and staff and I have to say, the execution was streamlined and created minimal inconvenience. Everybody was happy, safe, and professional. In these uncertain times, I can say I felt entirely comfortable taking my boys for haircuts to the best barbershop in metro Atlanta. Thanks again everyone at ABS! We will be back! read more

Ahmed has been my barber for a couple months and have been getting consistent quality haircuts which my wife likes so I'm happy. During the Pandemic, I have had exactly 2 haircuts so far. The first one came after 96 days. This one after 63 days. I say this b/c I have not been entirely comfortable going into an enclosed setting if I can avoid it, That said, I was relieved to see the additional precautions taken at Alpharetta Barber Shop. All the barbers are in masks. Physical distance is great. They require all customers to use sanitizer upon arrival. I was looking for a new place and ABS did not disappoint. Choman gave me the best haircut I have had in a long time. He gave me a nice fade and blended sideburns to my beard. A beard is new to me (10 months now) and it was good to have a guy with a beard cut my hair. Your haircut has to work with the beard and he gets it. Choman is the real deal and I highly recommend him. read more

Sam is my go-to here and I highly recommend him. He's consistent, remembers what I like and is very personable.

When we moved to Milton one of the initial things I was concerned about (oddly enough) was where the boys would get their hair cut. Those of you with teenage boys probably understand that a 15 year old boy is most likely to be your toughest critic when it comes to their hair! Since he isn't on Yelp, I'll submit the review he would... "Yeah, Kia is the bomb"! Haha! Kia and the barbers deserve a much better review than that! But that is high praise coming from a teenager in reference to his hair...one of his most prized possessions! Ha! Know this, I was threatened, by said 15 year old young man, that if his hair was ruined, it was going to be my fault! Thankfully, Kia used his "golden" scissors and was able to "cut yet another level of trust" between my son and I! Thank You!! It is nice, as a mom, to get the nod of approval from your teenager that I did ok! Which in mature adult verbiage is awesome! Kia always greets my boys with a smile and a handshake. Asks what they want and then delivers perfectly every time. When we first moved here, our oldest had that super cute long guy cut (the kind that a grown man swoons over because of all the gorgeous locks flowing! I can say this because my husband is folicly (is that a word!?) challenged...meaning he is bald. He would prefer to say he chooses to be that way because he shaves his head.)! Anyway.. Back to Kia. Over the past four months, he has given us back our boys beautiful brown eyes! I jokingly asked Kia last week if he ever dreamed when Chris first came in, that he would be giving him the cut is is now. It is a gorgeous short cut that compliments his face perfectly. And best of all, he loves his hair now too! Our youngest goes here as well. The men are always so kind to him and treat him just like a shorter version of their grown up clients! Thanks guys! I would highly recommend going here. The price is just right, $20 for a cut! It is also quite beautiful inside and always clean. There are plenty of comfortable chairs to sit in while you wait. We always make an appointment with Kia, so they never have to wait (but I get to sit comfortably as they get their hair cut!!). One time we went off the cuff and only had to wait maybe 5 minutes. I know Saturdays can be busy, but if you make an appointment, you won't have to wait!! read more

Ahmad is a great barber, always does a great job. Fun to talk to, he's a great listener.

Horrible experience. Terrible haircut. Terrible customer service. My son asked for a trim and asked them to leave the top of his hair long so it covers his forehead. The stylist cut so much off the front, his hairline is showing. Absolutely awful. Do not go here. read more

I came in today as a walk in. The woman whom I thought was the person working the front desk, turns out is an actual barber at the shop as well. As she tells me to sign the walk-in sheet she stands there for 5 minutes and then mumbles I can take you and walks away. I didn't understand but I stood up waiting for her to turn around to make sure she meant for me to follow her. She then gives me a look as if why am I still standing there. I then sit down at the chair, and because I travel for a living I asked my barber from home that I see once a week, to take a picture so I can show the other barbers more or less what I'm going for. She seems irritated from me showing a picture and the fact I don't know what kind of tools she should be using. Next, she has the nerve to just start cutting and as she's doing it she tells me to zoom in on the picture since I don't know what tools for her to use, so she can get a better look. The picture is clear as day to what I'm going for. At this point I stop her and ask her if there is a problem. She then says NO, but her attitude says otherwise. I'm beyond a nice person and have many friends that would all say the same about me, but all I got from this woman was negative energy. Clearly she's having a bad day, but when I called her out on it, even her co workers seemed to have laughed as if this is not the first time or they're glad someone finally said something. I'm 100% Mexican although I look white to most, and her racist vibes were for sure put out on display today and probably everyday in her life. Anyone that decides to come to this barbershop, do yourselves a favor and do not go to the older bald black woman with AirPods in. I didn't catch her name, because at this point she already had given me terrible service, a terrible haircut and made the entire experience as uncomfortable as one could be. No one should ever have to experience negative customer service. If it was a bad day she was having, she should have stayed home. Shame on her boss too if they were present and let someone like that represent a business where not only adults were present, but kids as well. My hair will grow back, but this review will be here forever. read more

I'm sitting in the chair hearing people talk in the store about how good their haircut was and then I look at my uneven hair as the barber without thought destroyed my hair and acted like it's supposed to look like a mess. The barber probably knew he messed it up because he barely said anything about my hair after cutting it. I'm not a reviewer I just got the worst haircut of my life from a place that seemed decent. I took my son and daughter there today. My son showed them a picture and the guy cut off the back of his hair which was not like the picture. Amazing haircut, great quality. Hot towel, attentive professional. Several customers were NOT wearing a mask. For those of us who were counting down the days until the barber shops were able to reopen, I was glad to see Alpharetta Barber Shop open last week. They are taking safety and cleanliness seriously. I felt safe with their added protocols. When you arrive for your appointment there is a sign asking you to wait outside for a barber to let you in. You can only enter when your barber is ready for you. Before you enter they take your temperature and require you to wear a mask - bring your own. Each barber had on a mask gloves and face shield. I didn't think about cutting hair with gloves on...but Jelah did a great job as usual. read more
