She spent a good 45 minutes with me. Second time, Anetra cut my hair. She first refused to wash my hair before the cut. I have very thick hair and after a night's sleep, my hair was all over the place. So I asked her if she can wash my hair, but she said she only washes after.... Then I noticed her cutting skill was pretty rusty.... Given the cost of the haircut, I could have gone to any barber to get this type of cut... I was disappointed. The fade was mediocre and the blend between the fade area to top was very amateur level. I asked to point cut my hair to thin it out, but my hair was thick as hell after. Wife was not happy after this one. I guess depends on who cuts your hair, you can either get a decent one or shitty one. The ambience is ok, website design is attractive, they have drinks you can enjoy, but remember why you go to a barber - "to get a decent haircut". Don't think I will throw my money away like that. After 2 weeks, I urgently need a new haircut now. Will look for a new place. Feel like the place has gone down since early days. Disappointed.

Following my first visit, my colleague's comment was, "Did you get a haircut at a new place?" After responding with a yes, her response was, "Don't go back." Against my better judgement and well overdue for a haircut, I went back a few months later. Today, the day after, my family member asked me if I have an appointment to get my hair cut. It's as if I didn't even get a haircut. Now I have to drive 40 mins each way this weekend and fork over another $50 to go elsewhere for a legitimate haircut only two days after getting a "haircut" at Jonpaul's. It's an establishment with much promise but inexcusably poor execution.

I went to this type of shop in the 70's and 80's in New Jersey. They still use a straight razor for neck trims, which IMO is rare. My barber is Kat and I have been going since I moved here in September 2025. I would highly recommend.

So, we knew about this spot, driving by Anjoo a lot on our way home from shopping in Duluth. Walked in on a Friday afternoon and 5 people were there and all busy at work. Still, they were able to accommodate my father and I. Thuan Pletcher is the manager here and she had a spot open since I had my father go first opening. I got lucky because she knows what she's doing. We had a conversation about how I'd like my hair cut, what would look good, and the way she would get me in and out of the chair asap while making sure I was happy. She's super personable, friendly, and funny too. We discussed my heritage and she was understanding of why I have my parents with me here in GA. Laughed at my jokes, which always is nice, . I walked out of there and I was very pleased with the results. It's always a toss up when you go to a new spot, or even go to a place like great clips because chances are you're not going to be 100% happy with the results if you're not going to your usual stylist. HOWEVER, I was jacked up in the best possible way. Just the way I needed the cut, the sides blended in nicely since it grows out sideways from the side of my head instead of down, with gravity. My bangs and top were cut enough to grow out by the time I head off on vacation and will be great for photos. The cost is on the higher side, but when you're pleased with the results it feels like you're making a sports gamble/bet you know you'll win. My father is loyal and may go back to the old barber, but she's elderly and may not be around long term. So I have a choice, which is never a bad thing- and it's so much closer than Duluth from Cumming. Thank you Thuan for making me look and feel good! Hope to be back, but I wanted to tell people that this shop is there (hard to see since you're flying down Peachtree Industrial Blvd at speed) and you should want to visit Thuan P. I was…read morefrantically scrambling to get a haircut before flying to ATL but was unable due to my schedule. There was no way I could be out in the ATL/Alpharetta area without a fresh cut. My nephew and bro-in-law recommended The Bosses because it is where they get there haircuts. They both mentioned the good work The Bosses do and that I can expect to be impressed with the finished product. This was high praise coming from my nephew and bro-in-law since it took them years to find a good barber when they first settled in the area. That recommendation could not have been more true. Man, I was blown away by not only the haircut, but all the fine work done to make you feel confident and feeling brand new. My Barber: I was lucky enough to get a haircut with Kelvin. His work station is the last one on the right (when facing the rear of the barbershop), closest to the pool table. Kelvin was friendly & kind, listened to all my requests, took care of me in every regard, and was very easy to talk to and connect with. It's always good when you can get a haircut and have a good conversation while doing it. Personally, I still believe good conversation with your barber is still the foundation of the barber shop experience. Kelvin's talent and professionalism is unmatched. The fade was flawless, the line up was incomparable, and the attention to detail was in a class of its own. He hooked me up in a timely manner but never felt rushed. He'd give the final look over and if he saw something that wasn't right, he'd go back and fix it until he gave his approval with the slight head nod. Everything from the clippers to the shave work was awesome. Then at the end, when it was finally over, not only did I leave feeling good but I left smelling good. Kelvin hit me with two light sprays-- to the top of my head and the back of my head-- of some scented & subtle fragrance (something nice, it wasn't cologne because it was not a strong and overbearing fragrance), like spa water or something. Kelvin had me coming out feeling like a million bucks. I'd recommend Kelvin to everyone. The Shop: It was very clean and well maintained. Looks like a really spacious and comfortable spot. They have two leather couches (I think L shaped, I don't really remember that part) that look pretty comfortable if you need to wait. Light music, which I prefer, because some barber shops try to over due it and blast rap music in an effort to give it a urban feel. I found the haircuts to be moderately priced and affordable. When I looked around I noticed that all barbers did good work and were engaged in their craft and their customers. One customer was getting a shave so I know that is a service they offer. All in all, I highly recommend and will now be coming back to get my haircuts at The Bosses every time I visit Alpharetta area-- specifically with Kelvin.
