This indicates to me that it is a well run shop that attracts and keeps good stylists. I'm not locked into just one so I've had several of them cut my hair, and I've always been pleased. Every time I call, there's always another issue. Today I called. I wanted to get in to see if anyone was available to do a blowdry and to find out who my last stylist was and the girl on the other end said I can't hear you. Well, if you didn't have the amount of noise that you have in the background, maybe you would be able to hear the person on the other end? She went into the other room and she proceeded to answer a question that I didn't ask. No I would not recommend this salon at all. read more

I had an appointment with Kim yesterday which had to be canceled due to her health. I have been to her once and she was amazing. That I haven't a problem with this can't be helped. However I asked if anyone else was free as I was going out last night. They booked me with Ashleigh . She seemed very pleasant . She did my root touch up and said she would be back in 45 mins. After 45 mins I kept looking for her but could nt find her . After an hour and 40 mins I went to the rest room and saw her in the staff room . I asked how much longer do I wait. She did say she was sorry her buzzer never went off. Surely she must have realized after a while to check on me. She then said shall I just wash it off if you are in a rush. I said no I want it washed , cut and dried. She said oh it only needs thinning the rest doesn't need cutting. I asked for it to be curled under which she never did. To be fair she never charged me but my point is I wanted my hair done for my function to be nice . Instead I had to come home and work on it myself. The girl next to me who was doing someone's hair said she had had the buzzer not working for her too. Do you not think if this has happened before there should be a better way of timing this. If I had had highlights left this length of time it could have ruined my hair. I did re book with Kim but will cancel as there is no back up if Kim due to sickness/vacation is not available. I will not be returning. Update on my review. Caroline the manager called me to apologize and asked how they could make it right. Very impressed how quick she responded and agreed it was not acceptable. read more

I scheduled a haircut for today with this salon, back in February. After being too disorganized to mark down my appointment in their system (for my simple 10 minute trim) they not only rudely told me they couldn't take me today, but did not even offer any resolution or compensation for THEIR mistake. I understand my stylist, who is the owner of the salon, is extremely busy and overwhelmed. But, the salon always will make a point of that. Making me, as a customer, feel like a horrible burden. There are too many good salons out there to waste your time with this joke of a business. I have been going there 5 years and they clearly don't care about keeping their clients. If you are looking for a good salon to go to, this is not it. It's a yucky vibe. I would highly recommend going elsewhere. read more

Seriously where has this place been all my life? I love it! Clean, nice staff, and so close to my house. I found it on Yelp in desperation for finding a quick cut for my daughter before our vacation, and glad I came. Her stylist Ashley did a great job! My child has a ton of hair, and it's not super easy to manage, but she made it look great and healthy again and not overwhelming her face. I was so pleased with her cut that I returned earlier this week for a cut myself, and I again was so happy with the job she did! She also didn't cut off too much, a major no for anyone who wants to keep their hair long. She just made it less heavy, and gave it a lift along with trimming my ends. She also offers some products, but she isn't pushy. My hair felt good and smelled so good when I left. I am sold on this place! Just FYI, there are two Ashleys here. I saw the brunette one, and she's also very reasonable. My cut including blow dry was $48! I love the product lines they carry. Oh, they are going to be moving locations down the road at the Kroger complex. It's a little farther from me, but well worth the travel for a good haircut. She is really good with kids, too. I can't say enough nice things about her and her work. She's definitely made me a repeat customer, and I plan on sticking with her, because as any female knows, not all hairdressers are created equal. read more

Ashleigh took the time to ask my needs and what I was looking for, once I showed her my ideas she double checked with me to let me know that the style I was thinking of would take off more hair than I was wanting and came back with a very similar style which kept more length and I'm so thankful she did that! After reading Laurel P's post about this salon last night on another platform I have to verify and agree with her 100%. I have been to this salon one time & one time only for a haircut. First of all they have a whole bunch of teenage girls working the front desk. When I walked in there they all seemed irritated by me entering the salon. I almost felt like I had to apologize for my presence as soon as I walked in. After my Great Clips mediocre haircut was done, I went to pay and asked one of the girls to add a 30% tip, instead they actually charged an extra $30 which was far more than what my tip was to be. I left and then upon realizing what they did I walked back in and politely asked to be refunded. Instead of being apologetic the girl there seemed annoyed and angry and told me they aren't able to refund me because of something within their system. Really? You aren't able to refund customers?!!!! Not at all accommodating in any way shape or form. They are rude. They are unprofessional. They are incompetent. And if you ever have the misfortune of talking to a woman named Caroline over the phone to try and schedule anything God bless your soul. As a business owner myself I doubt the owner or owners are aware of how nasty & rude their staff is. If they are and they defend it then that's a whole other issue. I can't imagine going anywhere else to have my hair cut or highlighted/colored. I am very particular on who and how my hair is cut. I actually followed Lindsay from another salon when I first moved here. She is amazing and I would recommend her to anyone. I take my daughter to her as well. Everyone in there always greets you with a smile. I've read some of the reviews and yes, it is a little on the pricey side and I could def go somewhere else and get an OK cut. I pay for what I want and get what I pay for. I also love the fact that if I have an idea that I like, she is very honest with me and if she doesn't think it will work, she tells me and then comes up with another idea similar to what I wanted and we go from there. I have been going to Lindsay now for almost 7 years and I have NEVER been disappointed. read more

Only one star since I liked my hairdresser and she always did a great job! I went to Chantel for about 3 years and she was consistent and great with my blonde highlights and good with cuts. My complaint and why I won't go back is nothing to do with her work. I had to cancel my hair appt. last minute since I had a conflict with another appt. I had made and forgot about it, so I apologized and rescheduled. On the way to the rescheduled appointment my car just stopped in the middle of 400! It just went dead! luckily I was able to pull over on the shoulder without issues but scared me half to death! I called AAA to assist me then I called Ovo to tell them what happened and I couldn't make it. The girl I spoke with had no concern and just told me to hang on, when she came back she said "well from now on you have to pay in advance for your services". WTF? I almost never canceled or rescheduled. I'm in the beauty business and never would I tell someone to pre-pay for a service unless they had a bad history not paying or checks bouncing. Which would absolutely NOT be the case for me! So now I will NEVER set foot in there again! They have a permanent note on the computer saying I have to pre pay. (Like I'm the bad seed of clients) Awesome way to make a client feel welcome there. Who would want to go back in after being told that? Guess it was their way of telling me to screw off. Way to treat good clients! I will make sure people are informed of the kind of business you do from now on. read more

I'm so disappointed with the service I got at Ovo Salon today. I used to go to Ovo few years back and really liked my stylist but since she left, I had stopped going. I thought I'll give this place another try. I had asked for a partial highlight with root touch up. First the stylist made me wait for 35 min, which was still ok. I showed him pictures of the highlights I would like. It took him more than 4 hrs to do my partial highlights and root touch up and I don't even have much hair. It was getting so late that I asked him to skip my trim. My hair barely showed the highlights and the blow dry looks like my 10 yr old did it. I'm not sure if the stylist doesn't know how to do this but I definitely will request Ovo salon to not recommend this stylist for highlights and blow dry. I'm never going back again. read more

I wanted to love this salon. It's pretty inside and I love the products they use. However, I tried two different hairstylists trying to achieve a brunette bayalage look. The first time it didn't turn out and the stylist was super sweet and tried to fix it. Unfortunately, it still wasn't what I wanted after she tried a second time so I just left it alone. The second time I gave this salon a try I made my appointment with a different hair stylist (Briana). To be fair, I arrived 15 minutes late for my appointment, but I did call and told them I was going to be running a few minutes late due to traffic and they told me it wouldn't be a problem. When I arrived, the stylist was annoyed because she car said she had booked someone in between my color and I was putting her behind schedule. She then colored my hair after I showed her several pictures of what I wanted. I was VERY specific. She rushed through the entire color and haircut. I waited 3 days to wash my hair and wNo hen I washed my hair it seemed that all my color came out because the shower was completely red. Seems she had even rushed through my toner and not left it in long enough. The next few days I noticed my hair was not at all what I wanted and it had faded horribly so I called the salon several times for the next week asking to speak to Briana. I also sent her a message on Instagram. I NEVER received a call back or response from Briana and the girls up front were very rude to me several times. I was told I had to go in on a Friday morning that I had to work or if I couldn't make it that day I would have to pay one of the other stylist to fix my hair. Till this day , I have yet to receive a call back from her and the owner offered me a partial refund. Terrible customer service and I was treated so rudely. Never again will I go back to this place. read more

Nice, trendy atmosphere and friendly stylists but beware of extra charges. I went for a highlight touchup which was just one row of foils down the middle and was charged $80! When I questioned the charge the receptionist told me that there was a charge for the blow dry. Really, with highlights they charge to blow dry your hair? I told her I'd never heard of that charge and she said, OK it'll be $45 then. I can't believe they add $35 to dry your hair. Next time I'll go out with wet hair and save myself a lot of money! read more

I have not been to many salons, however I could not imagine the service and people being much better anywhere else. I personally had Steven, who not only did an exceptional job cutting my hair, also remembered me specifically and every conversation we had over two months ago.
