I could tell she really knew her stuff as when I had done my hair in the past I'd have to explain and re-explain myself on what I hoped and envisioned (I'd always show pictures as well). Dez made it so easy, and knew exactly what I was wanting. I enjoyed her going over in detail what she was going to do before she got into it. Great communication. I even learned about the two colors she mixed to get me the nice vibrant magenta color I wanted. But Dez was so wonderful and knowledgable, and closely listened to what I personally want while adding in her professional perspective. Dez is the best stylist I have ever been to. She stays up on trends, uses great product, and has great technique for women's hair but she is also great with guys. I found Dez through groupon. I had been searching for about a month for a stylist that was in one of those group salon style places because I was tired of going to corporate salons where I felt like I was a burden and just another number to them. I would much rather give my money to an independent stylist. Dez REALLY does listen to the client. I immediately felt comfortable talking to her about what I was thinking and she gave me lots of feedback and options. Sometimes at a corporate salon, I don't fully understand what the stylist is going to do because I guess they're rushing but with Dez I knew I was in really good hands. I am writing this review because Dez is not only amazing at what she does, she's also super sweet and down to earth. I had foil blonde highlights done and she did such a great job and really took her time, yet still got me out of there in 1.5 hours. I've been blonde my whole life so I know what is quality and what isn't.. And this was definitely quality and the color turned out perfect.
