Ugggg. Where to start. First of all- the owner called to "explain" the pricing. When I was like- you are the most expensive hair color I have ever gotten. It would have been nice to know how much I am paying. Like maybe you could have given me a quote or an estimate in the beginning. I even asked the owner if she took her car to the dealership and said, can you fix this if she would let them just fix it and pay whatever amount they charged her she said yes, "I take my beemer to my guy and I trust him, I pay whatever he says" I was like wow that must be nice to have that kind of money and not be able to worry about it - I don't know yall. My WHOLE point was. You cannot obligate people to services. They don't know what the price is for and you don't give them an estimate. And by the way, the owner never actually offered me services or anything . She just argued with me about her pricing until I told her I didn't want to come back for anything and then she said oh I was gonna offer you to fix your color.... after we had a really frustrating and combative conversation- would you feel good about spending HOURS at this salon having color fixed?????No thank you. like she literally called to argue with me. I came in for a consultation with Trisha and she walked me through options to get back to a more natural look and pricing was very reasonable. I had my appointment a week later and she took the time to be sure it was exactly what I wanted.. Which took two trips to get toner applied because I wasn't happy with the results the first time. I LOVE this Salon! I moved to Houston a year ago and was looking for a place to cut my hair. I didn't want to go to a "cheap" spot like Supercuts or GreatClips, etc - you get the idea! I wanted something trendy and chic! When you go in, this place is REALLY nice and professional looking. They always offer water or coffee. The first time I booked this place, my stylist was Flo and she did a great job giving me a shaggy mid-length cut. She really took her time with me and I felt renewed when I left. The second time I came here, I got Alyssa and she is just so sweet! I got an all-over DARK brown color to cover my VERY grown out blonde hair and she just did an amazing job - plus the head massage during the shampoo process was wonderful! I finally found a place I can call "home", for my hair that is lol. I discovered Salon Demi through a friend who recently had her hair cut and colored. I was really impressed with her results, and after doing a little more research on my part since I am very picky, I decided to give this place a shot. It's just very hard for me to trust someone with my hair and invest a good chunk of money into it. But boy was I wrong lol. Mind you, I haven't stepped foot in a professional salon in years. I've been getting a friend to cut and my sister to ombré and balayage, or at least attempted to, my hair for the last couple of years. So there was some fixing to do. I made an appointment which can be done via email or phone. Alyssa was really helpful with that. When I got in, the person at the front desk greeted me and confirmed my appointment. The place looks nice and modern. I sat for a couple of minutes and Darian, my stylist, walks over to greet me and walks me over to her chair. She offers me a drink - water, coffee or wine. First, I had my hair consultation. She understood what I wanted and provided me with the price from the start since I asked. I was happy with the price for color and cut - $130. Darian started with the balayage first and had to tone and rinse twice to get it to the shade I wanted. I appreciated that she checked with me about the shade and did what I asked. Then she trimmed about and inch or so off just as I asked as well. I say this because from my past experiences at other salons, the stylist would always take off more than I ask. She styled it so pretty. I love wavy hair and she did just that while showing me the technique she uses. The whole time I was there we had a great conversation. Darian is really nice and very helpful and knowledgeable about hair. I appreciate her patience and excitement in making people's hair look and feel beautiful. Me and my friend wanted a blowout so she called and asked how much about the price would be, they said it starts at 45... which is like ok? My friend tried to ask again how much for long hair they said they don't know that you have to come in. I called the place later on asking the same question and telling them i live 30 away and have long medium thickness hair and how much that would be around, still never got any type of answer just the same "we charge starting at 45". I recently moved to HOU and was looking for a good salon and a stylist to establish with. After reviewing all the reviews on yelp and google, I decided to give this salon a chance. When I arrived at my apt, everyone was polite, and a different person (that wasn't my stylist) called me back to wash me. Which I understand is done, however, the lady who washed my hair was pulling and rubbing my hair so tight during the washing, continued to do so with a towel after she was finished! When the stylist met me at her chair, she did apologize for not washing me, but hadn't seen my hairs natural texture or style prior to the wash. We had limited discussion on the cut I was wanting. I specifically asked for long connecting layers. The conversation was good throughout, however, when she was finished, she didn't give me a mirror to view the back of the cut. She just said, "this is the best haircut you'll ever have". When I got home, my husband asked what happened to my hair as it was uneven in the length! Sure enough when I looked in the mirror, it was definitely uneven!! It bums me out that this salon didn't work out for me. Be cautious and specific with what you're asking for and make sure you're happy with it, don't take the stylist word for it. read more

I have been going to Flo for the last year. She does the best bayalage! She really knows how to blend compared to previous bayalage I have gotten. I always have a good time catching up and chatting with her. She really listens to what you want! I got a hair cut with her for the first time and I'm so happy with it. I called the manager the day after (what can only be described as the worst cut and color of my life)only to share my horrific experience. Its taken me a few months to be able to do this review. I loved the salon and the ladies that work the front desk are super friendly. I went in with hair inspiration photos and walked out with a complete mess. Since getting my hair done in March I have not been able to wear my hair down because of how insecure I feel about it. I was told by the hair stylist that my hair did not blend well because not all hair bleaches well...blond is a process. She said "that's why I asked you if you were ok with the tone". I came back a week later so that she could tone my hair down and add a shadow root (which I had to pay extra for). I didn't get my hair styled that day because I would've had to pay more and I had already spent $350 on my hair. She asked me to send her a picture of my hair after which I did not do. The toner and the darker root did not fix the problem with the blending of my hair. I have had a balayage in the past and even though I asked to go a lighter this time it does not explain the fact that the color does not blend. You can clearly see where the bleach was applied. I would've appreciated the stylist admitting that she did a subpar job and for her to truly fix it. I will never go back to this salon and I'm currently looking for someone to fix my hair for me. read more

I had a bad experience with my previous stylist and my hair was damaged and hair was uneven, it had broken off from the person not paying attention or making an effort. Needless to say I saw Mallory and we discussed my concerns and she she produced results. The salon is nice and everyone seems very friendly here. Mallory did an excellent job cutting my hair and blending it in with the hair that was damaged. My hair style looks a lot better and I'm able to do fun things with it. I went to this place for a color consultation and they said they could absolutely do the red color that I was trying to do. So we went ahead and booked the appointment for a week out and then I had to cancel my appointment because of work and I booked it again for another week out so we are two weeks out at this point. When I showed up for my appointment my hairstylist decided to tell me that they didn't actually have the color that I want it even though I had a color consultation weeks ago so they could've gotten the color in in that time frame but apparently just didn't. I moved to this side of town about five years ago, and I've been bouncing around from place to place ever since looking for somebody that could color my hair blonde without it looking too monochromatic, yellow or damaged. I've really struggled to find the right hairdresser until I came to Patricia at salon Demi. She took her time and really did my hair properly, it is a beautiful two-tone blonde color! She absolutely nailed it! I really like the way she cut my "grown out" bangs as well. I was looking for something a little more "higher-end" than a great clips/sport clips type MENS haircut place. Not many around. I honestly thought this was just a women's salon. It's not. In fact, they cater to men half the time. Cuts start at $25.00. That is less than the average "higher end" men's place. And that isn't a "cheap" cut. It is still very detailed to your specifications. If you are in the Spring/Tomball area and want a quality cut from someone who listens to you, really cares about making you look good and not trying to do it quick to get to the next customer, give them a try. Tara is a blonde's dream come true! Having moved to a new city, and being an extremely picky blonde, I was panicked trying to find a new hair stylist. Fortunately, my lash stylist (who has the most perfect shade of blonde) referred me to Tara! I cannot say enough good things! The color is exactly what I wanted, light blonde but with dimension and no streaks (ick)! She applied the foils in such that my hair looks great parted any number of ways. The cut was equally as well executed. Truth be told, I hate cutting my hair. After a horrible haircut years back, I find cutting my hair to be highly traumatic. However, Tara was able to get the straw-looking ends off while maintaining the length. She polished up my layers for that Jennifer Aniston/Reese Witherspoon look. Plus, added bonus- she is so fun to talk to, not a requirement but makes the appointments that much better!
