I wanna start off by saying I've never really been dissatisfied with the results of the haircuts…read moreI've had there. Quite the opposite. However, four times in the last year I have been called within an hour of my appointment only to be told at the stylist wouldn't be able to make it in, and they would need to reschedule, and they would not be able to accommodate for a cut that day. I understand that people have personal lives, and once or twice if someone can't make it in, I certainly understand. But four times is a trend that I just can no longer ignore. Again, the service is fine, but if you rely, like I do, on being able to count on a haircut at a certain time, then I'm afraid that they may fall short. If you can afford to be a little more flexible with your time this might not be an issue, but just take it under consideration. Now I'm off to Sport Clips. Wish me luck.

Not only did they take their time with me, but even stayed after hours. They seem to be in no rush! Love the service already. Also, very reasonable priced! Not an arm or a leg ! I feel like a lot of American hairstylist doesn't really know how to deal with Asian hair. Since it's so dark. So I feel like Hong Kong hair salon is definitely catered to more Asian hairs. They did a wonderful job correcting my color too! I would most def recommend. Staff was super nice.

Visiting Memphis from Minnesota and I was referred here by my friend. I'm so glad I came here…read morebecause I had a great experience getting my haircut! Ben was very fast but still incredibly precise, and his professionalism showed throughout the entire time. I have a lot of hair and didn't have any specific cut in mind so I told him to freestyle my haircut, he took the time to ask what styles I liked and how I normally style my hair before getting started. He also gave great suggestions that fit my preferences. The final result turned out even better than I expected. I highly recommend him if you're looking for someone who's skilled, attentive, and knows exactly what they're doing. The salon was really clean and spacious.

I'm so glad a friend recommended New York Hair Salon to me -- specifically Ben, the owner. If I…read moreremember correctly, he moved from New York to Memphis over ten years ago. The salon is located in a plaza with a private parking lot that offers plenty of spaces, shared with a few other businesses. I'd recommend coming early when the salon opens or visiting on a weekday morning to avoid long waits. Even with an appointment around noon on a Saturday, my wait time was about 45 minutes. Weekends can get quite busy! Ben's technique is exceptional. I was thoroughly impressed with the entire process -- from the hair wash to the blow-dry finish. There are two other stylists (both male) who also do excellent work with both women's and men's hair. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of service you receive (photo is attached for pricing). Would I come back? Absolutely.
