I came to Salon D as it is advertised on the Wigs for Kids website. My hair grows as slow as molasses so it probably took about 2 years to really grow it out where I could donate it (a long time bucket list item). The only time I had cut my hair to about shoulder length was almost traumatic where my hair completely poofed out as it did not have enough weight to weigh it down. As hesitant as I was, it was time to go and live with the aftermath. After all, hair grows back. After doing some research on different salon options and stylists specializing in haircut donations, I made an appointment with Peyton. She was the sweetest and did an amazing job. I can honestly say I went through all the feelings of cutting off ~14-15 inches. It's been a couple weeks and I am so happy to say that I LOVE the cut. It's so cute, I've received so many compliments, and it's been so easy. I can do nothing or style it a bit within a few minutes and it's been amazing. It's super light for the summer. Oribe, Wow, etc. The front desk does not always have someone available to assist, so it's hit or miss if someone will be available to help you. If no one is, you are turned away. For a salon that I have frequented many years for service, my last 3 visits purchasing product and the last time needing an exchange have been frustrating and disappointing to deal with. I really liked that they saw me same day but i came here for a brown balayage look, showed the hair stylist and specifically told her NO BLONDE my hair was already kinda light color so i thought we weren't going to need to bleach it i've never use bleach on my hair ever and then i come to realize we bleached it and i was so disappointed because I did not want bleach nor did I want my hair to be blonde like I had said previously I waited it out because I was already 2 hours in and I was trusting the process it took almost 7 hours to do my whole hair my hair is not at all thick. It's in the middle, but I did not expect it to take seven hours, which I'm not sure if that's normal or not, but I was incredibly just tired of sitting on the chair. I'm not sure if it was because this type of hair takes a long process or because the hairstylist was kind of still new at this thing I'm not sure but the result of it I did not like at all. It's not at all what I had asked for I was very very disappointed and now that I've had my hair like this for a couple days every time that I shower It gets very easily tangled. It's very dry. My hair used to not be like this at all so I feel like the bleach really messed it up. I'm very disappointed, but on the bright side, everybody is very nice. I drove about 6hrs from Arkansas to Dallas specifically for Nayoung's Japanese permanent hair straightening since I don't have anyone offering the service where I live. It's well worth it! And both Nayoung and Peter are super efficient and friendly. The made the whole process happen for me for under 3 hrs (usually takes longer for me since I have a lot of hair).
