I have thought about leaving this review for a while but I never did as my goal is to not do any harm to Salon Rev but truly one of the worst experiences in my life when it came to my hair. I am only writing it today as I still hate my hair 6 months later. LAURA is AMAZING!!! She has a real passion for her profession, and WOW oh WOW it shows in her work!! I was waiting to leave a review, just incase there was something I found I didn't like about my hair, but I still like it!! It's perfect!! And It's been about two weeks now! I have been getting my hair highlighted/ low lighted/ toned, and cut, regularly since I was 15. I have lived in New York, Australia, and now Dallas. I have been to MANY salons... TOO MANY!! And I can HONESTLY say, Salon Rev is the BEST place I have ever been. Laura is the BEST hair stylist/ colorist I have ever ever had. She is wonderful!!! I said when I left the salon that I hadn't liked my hair this much in 3 years, but I'd actually say I have never liked my hair this much in my life, (seriously!!). Thanks so much Laura, you're seriously the best EVER!! P.s she even gave me a fork to eat the food I brought to eat while I waited for my hair to lift, because I forgot mine. I cannot fully express my gratitude and love for this salon and for the work Laura did for me! I went in to have my hair done up for my 10 year wedding anniversary and vow renewal. I was having an awful day up to that point (couldn't find my wallet and the venue was super behind in the setup), but everyone at the salon made sure that I was able to relax and accommodated me in every way. My only regret is that I didn't have Laura take a photo of my hair with my phone! The person who was going to take photos called in sick last minute, and it was such a crazy busy evening that I never got a good picture of my hair. Everyone raved about how beautiful it was and it perfectly coordinated with the vintage feel of our event. The hairstylist did an amazing job on my hair cut, balayage, and styling. I will warn you though- this place is incredibly expensive. My whole thing + tip ended up being $270, and I am usually someone who goes for Super Cuts. However, the hairstylist was patient with my black hair as it took a while to remove the color before dying it. She also had great insight as to what would look good, since I didn't come prepared with ideas of my own. Definitely was a one time trip because of the price tag though. This was probably the worst haircut I've gotten in a while. Everyone was so sweet including my stylist. She just cut off WAY TOO MUCH then what I asked for. It's hair so it'll grow back. The worst part was going home and having to cut off so many strands of hair that was missed to make it even. Again, everyone was so sweet and I'm thinking my stylist was just new or maybe had an off morning, I just wouldn't go back. I may be biased, but when you've had the same person take care of your hair since 1999, there's something there... Salon Rev is a new location for Stephani (Ms. 1999), and it's amazing! She also has a great team of stylists with her. So great, that when we had a weird scheduling moment and I had to cheat on her (while she was just steps away) with Shea, we all survived, and instead of just one trusty stylist, I now have two... maybe 3 or 4, because they are all amazing! Stephani is a natural teacher, so in addition to mentoring her team, we, as clients, usually learn something new as well. Not to mention that she and Shea are both educators for the product line they carry. So, if you want a salon with passion for you and your hair, come check them out! I've already made all of my appointments for the year, better come make yours! You won't go anywhere else after you do. read more

Very Very Happy with my overall experience at Salon Rev. Friendly, upbeat, and clean atmosphere that allows you to relax when you come through the door. Shea was recommended to me by a friend and I couldn't be happier. Shea both colored and styled my hair and she nailed every step. Shea listened and didn't cut too much off the ends as well as guided me to a color that turned out exactly what I wanted it to be without knowing what I wanted. I have been seeing the same Hair Stylist since 2004. Unfortunately, he doesn't color hair, so I had to look for a new "go to". Every time I strayed, I would be very disappointed. Don't ever go there unless you are friends with them. Worst color job and tried to fix a 2nd time at $300.00. Had to go to a different stylist and find out the wrongs done and buy their product to heavy condition and oil, spent $200.00 for that and I have to live with mess until it grows out.....unless you are someone's friend...I highly recommend you keep going and head to a different salon! Terrible nightmare I'm going to have to live with this mess!!! read more

I've had everyone of these stylists except one since going here almost 4 years now. The whole team is amazing and really you can trust that whoever you get based on your availability will be awesome! I have to say though hands down, Elise you ROCK your shampoo game!! I tell her every time she washes my hair that it's AMAZING!! You can tell a great stylist by the time they take to give you a great head massage and shampoo. They just don't rush through it. Awful! My appointment started 30 minutes late. I told Courtney Littlejohn I do NOT WANT SHORT HAIR! I said cut less to be safe. She just went and cut a bunch off before washing it. She said so she would not have to wash it. She didn't check if all the sides of my hair where even. As soon as I said it is way short and that I did not want my hair short! You didn't care and blew me off. I just wanted my ends cut off a trim. Not to chop my hair off. YOU CAN ALWAYS CUT MORE. BE SAFE AND CUT LESS NOT MORE on someone Courtney. . Courtney you do NOT listen to the customer. Or take the time to get what they want. I had long hair to the mid of my back. Now it is to my shoulders. The cut is awful to. It is so jacked up. I told you I wear my hair up in a pony tail also allot. That my hair has to be able to go into a ponytail. It barely fits into a ponytail. It looks so awful up also! Everything is so messed up on the haircut and it is so SHORT! If anyone questions you. You get an attitude back. I have NEVER had this short hair in my entire life! So, I have no choice but to wear it down all the time now. Its the holiday time so you have ruined my entire holiday time. I feel so ugly now! Also, the owner still has not called me back.
