I absolutely love the outcome of my hair! Over a two weeks time I've been in the salon three times. Everyone is personable and it's a teaching salon so customers are learning what products are going in their hair etc. cosmetology students are also getting hands on experience My one take away is that I don't like being there for 8 hours at a time. My New Customer, Color and Microlink consultation should have included my strand test. My double process for color should have been coloring my bundle of hair as well. The Salon was clean, staff was friendly and the vibe was nice. I was tired and didn't talk much and that didn't offend my stylist Catarina. Everyone who touched my hair was caring and I felt as though they liked what they did. Everyone cleaned up after themselves and talked to each other with respect. My new spot. Found them on yelp (thanks guys) and booked a consultation. I showed up and explained what I wanted and what I had been through at the last salon. The stylist reassured me she's not going to add things like glue or bands as its damaging and just frankly too much. She told me how she'd do my hair and I felt confident in her abilities so I booked an appointment. I knew I'd have to wait because she squeezed me in last minute and asked me in advance if I was okay with that and I was perfectly fine by that as my head was a MESS. The biggest take away for me was the care of my natural hair, they washed, treated, and trimmed my hair first using quality products. My braid down alone was flat and I could instantly tell this install would be MUCH different just by that alone. Now the hair I used before was awful so I purchased a higher quality hair for this install and my God I love the hair, I love the install and I think I found a new salon for all my hair needs. read more

I needed to find a new hair salon that was easy to book and specialized in natural hair textures. I wasn't referred to anyone in particular so I was nervous. I arrived at my appointment time and was taking back immediately. I received a silk press with deep conditioner. The steam was also used to lock in moisture. I have been wearing braids for several months on and off which caused hair breakage around my edges. The stylist asked me about my hair health and said she would us another method to straighten my edges to avoid applying heat directly to them. She tied it down and I sat under the dryer. My overall experience was pleasant. I declined a trim due to this being my first time here and I didn't know how scissor happy she may have been. I'll definitely get it next time. read more

I was super excited to try this salon because the pictures look so nice. I had worked with the receptionist, Tangie and the owner for about a week on what I wanted I had a very important event on the 17th so I was excited when I was able to get a appointment for Friday the 16th however to my surprise and disappointment the morning of Dec 15 they called me to cancel my appointment saying that they didn't think they could give me what I wanted on that visit. The stylists are great. I despise the fact that they now require a credit card for cancellations. Since they don't allow cancellations, your card pays the price. Another thing, they will claim that a stylist has no availability for a specific day and time when they do. How do I know? I am looking at the stylists schedule while the receptionist is lying through her teeth. No thanks! read more

I just came home from my third appointment at this salon in three months. It's a very clean and relaxing environment as far as salons go, and the stylist I had was proficient. This place has everything it takes to be a five star experience EXCEPT: time management. If you're like me, nothing upsets you more than people not valuing your time. Do yourself and your blood pressure a favor - keep looking. On three visits to two different stylists on different days and times, nobody has been able to get me out of the chair in less than 3 hours. This might not seem like a big deal, but consider that the booking site lists out the approximate time for each service one could book. So, when I book a 1 hr 30 minute service and it takes 3 hours to complete, I realize there is something amiss. The first time I figured it was a fluke, the second time I began to wonder, but now this third time I'm the fool in this situation who thought things would be different. Learn from my lesson: either clear your schedule for the day or look elsewhere. read more

Update: Now I'm more upset . I have since learned that I didn't even get microlinks at all. The owner just took tracks of hair that I brought and attached it to my hair about every 5 inches!!! They are not single pieces of hair like I wanted . $900 for something that now has to come out since they hair is no longer laying flat on my hair . .....and this done by the owner herself . That is the LAST dollar I will pay at Salon Cest Chic. . I will pay more for quality work , but I expect my stylist to not taking advantage of me . read more

My experience here was nice. However, i do second the below review about time management. I will definitely give them another try because my hair turned out ok and my stylist was very friendly personable and helpful - however i do think on there website they should increase the est time slots. All of the stylist were extremely friendly and they work together as a team. It was nice and clean in there as well, very modern and up to date!!!! read more

First off this is the cleanest most peaceful salon I've ever been to. I also noticed them cleaning in between clients. It wasn't crowded at all. Da'Naiysa did my hair. She was absolutely amazing. Washing my hair super attentive. Best part was she detangled My hair correctly. My hair tangles easily but she detangled it twice after wash and after the deep conditioner and made sure it was wet while detangling. She also used a wide tooth comb. I haven't straightened my hair in 5 years. And i got a silk press with curls. Oh one thing I am big on a one pass through with a flat iron and she did that. She surely did. I didn't have to tell her a thing. She did such a great job. Oh i also got a trim and checked with me before cutting. The receptionist was very nice as well. Da'Naiysa also only did my hair and wasn't doing multiple clients at once. I was in and out. I would absolutely come back. I'm going to recommend her to everyone. read more

It was the first time I've had my hair straighten in 2 years and my first time here and she didn't give me a lil pep tlk/consultation before washing my hair. The young lady that did my hair was nice and did a pretty good job but She seem new and a little inexperienced. I used to be a customer of the owner of this salon in another location and never unsubscribed to her news letters. I was really excited when I received an update that she was opening a salon 10 minutes from my home. Even more excited when I realized another stylist that I use would also be working in this salon. The salon makes it very easy to schedule an appointment. It can be done online or by calling the number listed on the website (I would recommend using the website). A credit will be needed to hold the appointment but will not be charged. The salon is very clean, welcoming and comfortable with friendly staff (I was asked about three times while there if I needed anything). My appointment yesterday was with Myria who has previously done two sew-in weaves for me. I typically wear my hair in other protective styles so this is a once a year for me. Not only is she a great stylist but she makes you feel "at home" in her seat. Her head scrubs (while washing your hair) are perfect (not too soft, not leaving you with a throbbing scalp). Definitely happy with her styling. I have already scheduled to be back in May. UPDATE: I received an email that Myria no longer works for the salon and my May appointment has been canceled. I have been trying to get an appointment here but it just never worked with my schedule. No reviews or anything but I was drawn to them. I was finally able to come in for a deep conditioner and cornrows and I am very well pleased! Sade was my stylist and she recommended a protein treatment instead and I am glad she did! Accommodated my daughter last minute, on a Sunday at that. Catarina was her stylist. She informed me about the benefits of everything my daughter needed before she did them. The silk press and hydrating mask left my daughter's hair soft and silky. The salon was quiet, clean, easy to find and beautiful to look at. No complaints. I have been going to Danielle for a few years now, and my hair has looked absolutely amazing ever since. I cannot say enough about Danielle's character and dedication.
