My hair isn't very forgiving when it comes to cuts and regarding color or perms which I've had many in the past, I often leave feeling like my hair is crispy from the bleaching process. Jordan knows exactly what products to use and how long to leave them in for amazing results. I've lost count how many compliments I've received on my recent color and style. Jordan came highly recommended by our pet sitter's Mom who is also in the profession. It's over an hour each way to drive to this salon from my house, but the place has a great vibe and everyone there is friendly. I've been back once for a touch-up and my hair feels very silky and is super shiny. I love Jordan! He's such a highly skilled professional who is also a delight to talk with during my visits. I'm not a big talker who feels like I have to fill every minute of the time he's working on me and he isn't either. It's very comfortable knowing we don't have to force a conversation. Sometimes it's nice just to feel like I'm getting pampered without any feeling like a person who is serving me is going over board with sticky fake talk. I don't do 'fake' well. Jordan is a genuine person who I absolutely love visiting. I'm definitely going back. Prices are reasonable for the quality of services and products offered, for the location which is in a safe and high-traffic area near the Great Lakes Crossing shopping mall, and is very easily accessible by freeway. What's not to love?!

She has taken such amazing care of my hair over the years from balayage, to dark brown, to caramel highlights she truly can do it all. She's also done my hair for prom and every school dance in high school, and each time it turned out absolutely beautiful. I'm so grateful for her and her talent and would recommend her to anyone!

After the appointment, I quickly noticed my hair pulling noticeably warm and orange, which was not what I asked for. I went back twice to have it corrected, with the last visit being done by the owner, and sadly the issue still wasn't resolved. I do appreciate that they took the time to try to fix it, but despite multiple attempts, the problem persists-- I am still orange. I'm not sure if it's the formulation or the quality of the products being used, but I'm surprised they haven't been able to correct something like this. The salon itself is nice and the staff is friendly, but when it comes to color, I was disappointed with both the outcome and longevity of the results, particularly after multiple correction attempts. At this point, I'll likely need to go elsewhere to have the color properly fixed, I never had this issue when I went to Salon Six. I was really hoping this would be my go-to salon, but unfortunately the outcome just didn't hold up

Chrissy takes the time with you to consult on what you want to do with your hair and discusses pricing upfront - so no surprises, budget wise once your service is complete. Each time I have gotten my hair done I have been 100% happy and definitely having a fabulous hair day! The salon itself is clean, bright, and welcoming. Only downside is parking but parking in the downtown Rochester parking structure is very close to the salon. The other stylists' work is also beautiful, so it seems no matter who services you, they will do a great job!

I see Katie Russo, and it's clear she truly cares about what she does and takes the time to do a great job. I've had my hair trimmed twice and my color touched up once, and she always listens to my hopes and dreams for my hair and gets it perfect every time! I've had trouble in the past with stylists giving my long, thick hair chunky blunt ends even when I request otherwise -- which results in big blocks of hair that stick out and look bulky -- but I don't have that problem with Katie! While I haven't spent time with the other stylists here, it's clear by looking around that they are all happy to be there and enjoy what they're doing. A quick look at their instagram shows all of the continuing education they go through, which is nice to see to ensure that they're up with the latest trends and techniques. I can't recommend this salon enough and I'll keep coming back as long as I'm in the area!

Neither the hairdresser nor the owner reached out to me to see if I was okay. Side note: The day after this happened, I thankfully found a wonderful hairdresser in Clarkston with a referral from a friend Anyway, after I didn't immediately cancel my upcoming appointments here, they had the poor receptionist (who is very sweet) call to say I couldn't return. Ummm... did you really think I was coming back? I had no intention of returning. She also added in the same phone call (with coaching from the background) that "oh, and [the hairdresser] is independent". My guess is that the owner told her to say this. It is just so awful and disappointing how they handled the whole situation. All they ever did after scalding me was try to cover their butts.
