I love this place! Anyone who knows me knows I am very picky about my hair and I want it done right. I had been going to the same lady for 15 years but she retired and so I had to find a new place. A co-worker of mine recommended I go see Tera K. She is absolutely amazing, I have been going to her over a year now and I couldn't be more happy about my hair! When I first started going to her I was dyed blond and my hair seemed like it wouldn't grow and it would just break. I started making my appointments regularly (every 8 weeks) and she was able to clean it up and now it's healthier than it's ever been and is finally growing again and it grows fast now. I have also gotten my mom to go see her. My mom is a brunette but loves red hair and she had always been nervous about going red because she wanted the right shade of red and didn't want it to look fake. When she started to see Tera she finally felt comfortable to go red and she loves it and she gets lots of compliments on her hair. Even my dad likes it and he doesn't do change well. I recommend this place to everyone, the staff is friendly and Tera is just absolutely amazing, I guarantee you will leave happy and will defiantly want to keep going back! read more

Don't get the groupon. Asked to keep as much length as possible, one long layer...nothing complicated. Ended up with more layers than I wanted. The length from the longest layer to the next one was odd - making my longer hair stick out like a rat trail and when I bring my hair to the front ome side is significantly longer than the other. I could tell she was less experienced but my cut was pretty simple so I didn't think it could go too wrong. When I brought it up to the stylist she said it was due to the way she styled it and that my hair wasn't cooperating. Whenever the customer is told that their hair is "at fault" is really just a reflection of inexperience. I was incorrectly charged and Sherilynn was very sweet when I called to inquire. She said she guaranteed my satisfaction. I called back a few days later when I realized I needed my hair fixed. I was told that only the same stylist who I saw could fix my hair. I was not okay with that. If I asked for a different stylist I'd be charged their full amount. So much for guaranteed satisfaction! Getting my hair fixed elsewhere. About 3 months of hair growth lost. Groupon lesson learned. Not sure how businesses think that by having the most inexperienced stylists see the new customers they will get more clientele, especially if they won't even try to keep their customers happy??? l read more

It was horrible experience. I have a groupon's coupon for Keratin treatment . In the middle of the process the manager said you should pay more because you have thick hairs. I had to accept but I told them you saw my hair @ first and you didn't tell me anything. Please be careful they are cheap and liars. Don't buy their groupon's coupon. They offer their customers coffee and beverages but because they knew I have groupon coupon they didn't offer me water in 3 hours process:( I don't recomend this salon to the others just waisting your time and money. read more

Confirm the location! They have apparently been working from another salon during an "extended remodel". They could have let me know when I booked on line (via an email confirmation but one was never sent), or when I called to confirm my appointment time (because they never bothered to call to confirm), or when my stylist called to say the appointment before me was "running late" and I was being pushed back at least 20 minutes. So when I get to the only location I know for them the place is dark and a tiny note on the door advising they are temporarily at a different address. At the other end of town, so my appointment would be starting even later than it was scheduled for, which just didn't work for me. No apology when I called to find out where they were. They offered to reschedule my appointment but they didn't seem to get the problem with all this, so decided this is not the place for me. Very inconsiderate of my time and schedule. 2 stars because a prior visit was OK, but this ends it for me and this salon. read more

Going to Sherilynn Jade salon is like taking a mini-vacation. Stacy P is truly a multi-talented stylist! I first met her with a challenge to put my 43 inches of hair into an updo. She did such an amazing job that my hair felt weightless even after 10 hours. She is also skilled at doing color, and gave me the most gorgeous chestnut highlights against my black hair. Finally, her airbrush makeup skills are incredible. I highly recommend Stacy P for her professionalism and kindness! This place is really small and looks like a little house. The seating area is very limited so if you come early, you will be cramped into a small area. Luckily, the girls are pretty friendly here. My stylist, Baleria, is very young (25) but extremely talented. I came here on my birthday to get a new cut and color and she was spot on about coloring my hair "wine red" which she suggested based on longevity and the fall season. After a couple of washes, the wine red is very warm, pretty and perfect for Fall. Baleria also suggested fixing my layers so that it would blend in more, there was apparently a disconnect. I like my new haircut which flows naturally and has no sharp layers sticking out. I will definitely come back for cut and color with Baleria. The sink they use is very comfortable when she washes your hair. Overall,I am very pleased but the ambience of the salon is lacking. Also, don't expect Baleria to clean up the dye that gets accidentally smudged onto the skin, she handed me some wipes. read more

I have been going to Sherilyn's for a number of years and finally was so impressed with Erin Connors and the way she recently did my hair that I had to write. The color was just perfect! She put some low lights in and it made the difference. I also really enjoy her feedback on styling. She listens to everything and then comments. It always makes sense. The hair cut was fabulous! She has her own spot in the back with another really nice stylist so it is private and we always have a nice chat and alot of laughs. I had long dark, dark brown hair. I wanted to spice things up and get highlights or a balayage and a cut. I was super scared with my hair being so dark that it would come out crazy and overly blonde. Well, Jessica R. Reassured me and explained the process, the pro's and con's. My hair came out great, actually more like amazing. My hair now has volume, body, dimension, and carmel tones evenly sprinkled throughout. We ended up doing the balayage so the dye didn't go straight to the root, so I have some wiggle room until my next appointment with her. She is a perfectionist and when you're dealing with dye and dark hair such as mine - that's what I wanted. So she took her time and we super polite. My sister recommended me to try this place and in particular to get my hair done by Shannda. She kept raving about her and how she transformed her hair (color). So I decided to try her out too! My hair was pretty long, thick and curly and Shannda did an amazing job chopping it much shorter. Her massages are amazing while shes washing your hair. She is so gentle and takes her time perfecting the cut. I also got a conditioning treatment done in my hair and it made my hair super super soft. I highly recommend Shannda! I was in desperate need of a cut and color just before the start of the holiday season. I called this salon because of the high ratings. They were very accomodating and gave me an appointment that same day. The salon itself is nothing to rave about. It looks like an old home. The cut was basic, nothing spectacular or difficult about it. It wasnt like the the stylist was going to make any kind of suggestion anyway. I didnt complain during the coloring process, I probably should have because the hair dye or solution she used on my hair was stinging my scalp. Needless to say, the color didnt stay. Within 3 weeks I could see strands of gray again and they were not at the roots either. Overall I was not impressed. read more

I was very unhappy with my haircut. The right side is about 2 inches longer than the left, the layer's are blunt and don't match up. When he blow dried my hair there was still and few damp sections and it was not smoothed out at all. I've been growing it out since then because the layers were so blunt and poorly spaced that getting a fixer haircut would have meant having a very short cut. I have been very frustrated when styling my hair since then. I don't think this reflects the whole salon because after the cut I got the impression that the stylist I had was very new or in training-however, his work should have been checked up on by a superior or I should have been informed when I made my appointment that it was with a trainee. read more

I have blonde fine curly hair which is unusual. Most curly hair is a bit courser than mine. Needless to say when it is not cut right I doesn't curl right. I never quite understood that it is difficult since I had the same hair stylist for 14 years. Then she stopped cutting hair. I searched for years to find someone who could do anything similar (like 10 + years) going from one stylist to another. I even tried several stylists in this salon. All are talented, but could quite get my hair just right (yes I am picky). One day I called Sherilynn and explained what was happening. She is very professional and told me about Melissa. Melissa was relatively new, trained by Sherilynn (who is an incredible stylist and teacher). She said Melissa was just back from Vidal Sassoon training and had been on the floor for just a few months. That was a year ago. Over the past year she started by cutting my hair shorter than I expected, but a very good cut in order to get fresh lines and rid of the damage. She started using a more gentle color process. I have had so many great haircuts from her with the latest 2 being my favorite. Melissa really cares about her customers and listens. She is able to execute as well. I would give her 10 stars if possible. I was her first curly hair customer, but she now has others. I plan to keep going to Melissa. The search is over! read more
