I have been coming to Erin at Salon 955 for the last year or so and it's the first time in my life I can say I have a regular hair girl! She does awesome highlights, but her haircuts are the best I've ever had. Anywhere! I'm really a rubberband and ponytail girl at heart, and that's the easiest way to keep my hair out of my face when I'm working, but she is my motivation to actually use nice products on it so that it feels great and looks healthier, and now I'm spending more time styling it and wearing it down occasionally too! She is truly a specialist at layering fine, straight hair, and making it look full of body and depth. I love when my friends compliment my hair and someone notices right away every time she adds new highlights. I also love referring friends to her. AND when I had almost given up on the perfect birthday gift for mom this year, it dawned on me that a super nice hair appointment is a great way to spoil someone you love. And so now mom is a regular too! The highlights in her red hair look natural are the prettiest I've ever seen on her. I've been seeing Erin and Lisette here for over 10 years. It's such a beautiful salon and the products offered are awesome. It's so nice going to get my hair done and been able to catch up with Erin and Lisette, but also be able to bring my laptop and get work done when needed. They totally understand how it feels to work remote and are super cool when I need to jump on a call or just email away. Jessica did an excellent full highlight on my very fine, long and previously partially highlighted hair. I was so disappointed after going to Stem in WC and spending a completely insane amount of money for a very blah and strange partial highlight. Jessica was able to take this and go a completely new direction, giving me a tone I've always asked for and no one else has ever been able to do. (Cooler, pale blonde, rather than warm/golden highlights.) My hair now has great variety, depth and feels just as healthy as before, even after a full highlight. She somehow kept my own color without it looking fake and streaky and kept enough of the brown to prevent an overly ombre look. She also listened--she took the highlights all the way to the roots, which I asked for, whereas I was told at Stem that is not in style and makes your color not last as long. The price was right, and I am SO happy with how this turned out! Jessica really knows what she is doing and is a blonde expert! Oh and others have mentioned this, but she is also super sweet and easy to talk to - I am not great at coming up with conversation topics for hours on end, but she made everything easy and I was never uncomfortable. The salon itself is nothing fancy, really small and pretty dated, but it does not matter to me if I get an awesome stylist who gives you amazing hair. read more

What a wonderful experience! I cannot be more ecstatic! Whooping 5 stars! For a new look, I wanted my hair dyed dark purple. Having only had my hair dyed pink or red, I thought purple would be an interesting color and would suit me. After an endless search on Yelp for hair salons/stylists and comparing their prices, I decided to check out Sherilynn Jade Salon. I am not only satisfied with my new hair cut and color, but I am appreciative of the attentiveness and care of my stylist, Mary. The overall customer service was excellent. When I called to inquire about this salon, I told them about the Groupon I had seen. It cost $68 for a hair cut and color that was worth $134. I was going to buy it then, but the receptionist told me that I could buy it at the salon. The receptionist was also very accommodating and I was able to schedule an appointment the very next day (last Sat)! I arrived early to the salon. The salon is in a small looking house but they have several stylists that work there at different shifts. They don't really have much of a waiting area, but there are some chairs near the cashier. Ten minutes before my appointment, I met with my stylist Mary for a quick consultation. I showed her two pictures of how I wanted my hair to be like. One picture was of the hair style I wanted but it had different shades of very light highlighted purple hair which I did not want. The second picture was of the darker purple hue that I wanted. Mary was patient, listened to me and clarified what I wanted. Because I wanted some highlights she told me that would be an extra $40 (that was not included in the Groupon) to bleach my hair, and gave me time to think about it. Overall, my experience with Mary was superb! She took great care of me, with great delicacy and gentleness as she worked on my hair. She told me everything she was going to do; the amount of time it would take, and offered me re-fills of water. First, she bleached my hair, then after shampoo and rinse, cut my hair, and lastly colored my hair. In all the times she shampooed, conditioned and rinsed my hair, she asked me if the water temperature was ok. When my hair was finally dried, she let me look at my hair outside to see how the purple came out when the sun hit it. It was perfect! I am so happy with my new hair color and I definitely recommend Mary as she is a superb stylist. I give a 5 star recommendation to Sherilynn Jade Salon for all your hair cut, coloring needs! Come here and you will have a great experience and get exactly what you asked for. I sure did! read more

Last night, I got my hair cut by Mary, and I can't recommend her enough. She was super sweet and easy to talk to, and she did a great job with my hair. It had been about 11 months since my last cut (thanks COVID), and she brought my hair back to life! The cut was also incredibly well priced - just $78, about half of what I paid in the City for worse haircuts. The salon just reopened on Monday for indoor services, and it's taking COVID precautions very seriously. Lots of sanitizing and making sure everything is clean, and they even take temperatures on the way in. Overall, very impressed with the Salon and with Mary. Okay, I'm just obsessed with my own hair! Can I say that? I went to Kelsey with a very trusting Groupon after just moving to the area. She updated my highlights and took so much time perfecting them- I had never had such a great and care filled job done on my hair. It was so good that I actually didn't need feel like I even need to come back because she made them blend so well... so I went back about 9 months later (longest since highschool I have ever had a gap of not being in the salon at some point) anyway... I decided on the way there that I wanted to go back to my natural color. She collaborated with other gals in the salon from a single photo I showed her and showed me a some swatches and I could not be happier with the color and the cut. She is just amazing! I purchased a Groupon after seeing many positive reviews on yelp. I brought in a picture of the cut that I wanted with only 1 criteria, that my hair will still be long enough to tie back in a pony tail. After the consultation, I couldn't wait to see the end result, so I closed my eyes and let her do her thing. When she told me she had finished, I about almost flipped out of my chair. My hair was turned into a 1970's bob and not nearly long enough to tie back in a pony tail. Aside from the length, it was so uneven with one side being even shorter the the other. The only way it can be fixed is to go even shorter. It will take at least 4-6 months to grow it out. I want my money back!!! read more

I saw Tori yesterday morning here, and she was absolutely amazing. Not only friendly, professional and outgoing- but she knows how to do hair! She did a ton of foil, with new highlights, color, and an amazing cut. I had showed her a couple pictures of exactly how I wanted the cut, and she got it dead on! About the color? All I did was give her a brief outline of what I wanted to do, and not only did she get that perfectly, but it looks better than I could ever imagine. She also did a deep conditioning, which has really brought my hair back to life. My hair hasn't looked this awesome in years. Everyone in this salon is absolutely wonderful, but Kylie is my stylist and I love her! She has helped me through a few styles over the past year going from long, blonde, bangs and layers to now a pixie cut that I LOVE! I took a huge gamble booking my wedding hair and make-up without a test run (I like to live on the edge and am from out of the area) and was so relieved with my results. Baleria was amazing! She sent me text updates leading up to the wedding, assured me that she had been practicing and the day of showed me my options along the way. I typically am an au natural girl but her make-up suggestions really made me look like the bride in all my photos. My ONLY criticism would be for the other stylist that kept coming over during my appointment to ask if she could borrow blush and lipstick--not very professional. You do your make-up in your space, with your make-up and not on our time. Baleria was very polite though and kept me calm as I was getting antsy.
