Marinella is a wonderful hairstylist! I am always happy with the cut and color service I get at this salon.

My experience after getting a Brazilian blowout for my daughter was okay. Looked great for a few weeks but even after following the directions/upkeep from the stylist, her hair started to frizz out again. We even stop washing her hair as often due to the instructions. Her hair isn't as bad as before but thought it would last longer especially with that expensive price tag. I asked about what products to use, not that I wanted to buy it, but when checking out, I was rang up for the products at full price. I didn't want to make a scene so I just purchased it. Asking shouldn't be an assumption that I wanted to buy. So using their product suggestions and instructions on how to maintain her hair, didn't work out as well as I thought. read more

Marinela (owner) is the BEST at Deva Curl haircuts and color. Her trims bring out the best of my texture and volume. This time she adjusted too-dark home color when tending to both roots and eyebrows. She selected a new low-ammonia hair color line that didn't irritate my sensitive scalp. Lovely person, too -- THANKS! read more

I needed a haircut for my 3 year old daughter but I had a very short window. While making an appointment, I did mention about the time bit. I got a call from them 20 minutes before my appointment time that they are running late by 30 minute. While I was happy to be accommodating but I did not have 30 minutes so I mentioned that we could start a little bit later, but not by 30min. I reached 18 mins after my appointment time with my daughter hoping that we'd get accommodated quickly. To my surprise, we were made to wait for another 20 min, without an apology, or without giving an estimate. Finally, we had to rush our haircut. Few things that stood out in my experience which counted as negative: - Marinala did not apologize once for being late - Kept telling my 3 year old that if she would look straight, she can't cut her hair correctly. Clearly an experienced with kids haircuts, at least, with toddlers. - When I mention about being late, she called out that she had called me, and then she did not want to argue, but she did not even let me speak. To be honest, for me, they're being late wouldn't have bothered me as much as the way they handled the whole experience. To me, that speaks of their not the customer service. While they charge for kids haircuts at a premium price, they do not have that experience to tackle little kids. read more

If you have curly hair, you should give Marilena a try. Finally, I like my curls. She spends so much time teaching you how to manage your curls. Wish I had found Marilena years ago. You won't be disappointed. read more

My son had his wedding reception at the nearby Warren Conference Center and I was looking for a place to have my hair and makeup done. I was nervous because I was unfamiliar with this area, but Salon 44 is near the Warren and had some good reviews so I decided to give it a try. I had my cut and color done at my home salon. Salon 44 did an amazing job with my blow out and special occasion makeup. They were so nice and both the hair stylist and makeup artist were fantastic. Ashley even complimented my highlights and cut from my home salon rather than trying to get more business from me. Best of all, the price was very reasonable and less than I anticipated-- always a nice surprise on a wedding weekend. I highly recommend this salon and I wish it was close enough to my home for me to make it my go-to hair salon! read more

I just moved to the area and have been trying to find a new hair stylist but hadn't found one I liked. Then I went to see Ashley at Salon 44 and I'm so happy I did. Having short hair it is a little harder to find someone that can cut it correctly. She talked to me before she started and asked me questions and listened to what I wanted for my hair. She did such a great job and took her time to make sure it came out how I wanted. I love it! I'm so relieved to finally find a great stylist! read more

I cannot recommend this salon more highly. The space is lovely and I was lucky enough to be put into Marinela's good hands. It's clear she cares and is knowledgeable and talented. I am so happy to have found a new stylist I can count on. btw, their products are very good quality. Thank you Marinela! read more

Marinela Tona is a cheat. She told that she had redeemed the $25 gift card when I was paying for the hair color service, and then I came to know from Nift that it was actually not redeemed. And she charged me full price. Btw, there is no disclosure or mention about how much the services would charge - just an approximate guess. I understand she was busy and in hurry to catch a flight for vacation on July 9th, but that does not mean you cheat your customer. No service is good until you do it honestly.. And, yes I paid $25 in tip... such an awful experience where there is no loyalty read more

I recommend this salon!! I used this salon for make up session for my maternity pictures and the owner Marinela did my make up. I could not recognized myself and my husband either ;-). I looked very sexy and loved pictures that we will keep for decades. MJ read more

It has been 5 years since I've been with Marinela and I would not go to anyone else ever again! I have completely white roots (ugh!) and very curly hair, medium length. Marinela does a deva cut and it's always well shaped. She is truly a curly girl specialist, though can blow it out straight and silky for a change of pace that can last up to 5 days! I drive from the Cape to get to her in the summer and from central Mass the rest of the year. I don't know what I ever did before! She knows her stuff and is as warm and sweet as can be! I am happy to call her my friend after being with her so long! Marinela recently bought Salon Illusions and has really brightened up the space. She continues to add her TLC to accent the professional atmosphere. It is with extreme enthusiasm that I recommend Salon 44!! read more

Wonderful! I came in expecting the usual 'do, and left with the most spectacular bright red hair, something I've been wanting for years now. My husband loves it and I got compliments from all the co-workers. The owner was lovely and truly a hair artist. My head has never looked so cool!! Great price too. I will be back! read more
