Felt like my hair didn't look any different when I left than it did when I got there. No one even noticed I got my hair done it was such a subtle change despite me saying I wanted to go much lighter. I also didn't like that their shop said it would cost a certain amount and I was charged DOUBLE that. I get that I have a lot of hair and use more product so I knew it would be slightly more. I don't know how much they normally charge, but at the event it was about $15. It was super quick -- about 15 minutes tops, probably less. They were stocked with multiple color options -- I went with a chrome for a more subtle touch. The stylist told me they can last months if you're gentle with them, but I'm not fairly rough on my hair, lol. Still, a few weeks later most are still in. Throughout the evening some of the salon stylists were popping around to talk about their full services and literally all of the ladies were super sweet and friendly. Also love that they have juices and healthy foods -- I think they provided the tea and acai on the distillery menu that night. Seems like a great space -- heads up that they do hair tinsels if you're looking for someone who offers it! Even though it's a bit of a hike for me, the staff was so sweet that I'd consider making the drive if I needed services.

I was originally recommended to Maya, the owner, and she's the one who did my brows on my most recent visit--and she did an amazing job. The other two times, different staff members took care of me, and even then, I had no complaints. Each time, the shaping was clean, flattering, and consistent. They are decently priced--I believe I paid $12 for my eyebrows, plus an additional tip. For the quality of work, I think it's very fair. It would be great if they introduced some sort of membership or rewards program for frequent visitors; that would definitely add value. The only downside is that every time I've gone in, there's only been one person working. The wait can be long, especially during busy hours. It would really help if they hired more staff to keep up with demand. Outside of the wait, though, the results keep me coming back. If you're thinking about trying them out, I definitely recommend it--just try to go early or during off-peak hours if you're in a rush!

I went to Unique on a Friday at about 1:00, and it was busy. It was about a 20-minute wait, but there was only one lady working. She was friendly, quick, and attentive. After each customer, she wiped down the seat and sanitized her hands. She wore gloves and a mask. I wish I would have gotten this lady's name because it was pretty obvious she had a following. Almost all of the customers ahead of me and waiting while I was getting threaded seemed to be regulars. After I was threaded, the lady trimmed my brows, applied aloe for the potential redness and irritation, and then filled in my brows with some brow powder since she was too busy to give me a brow tint. Honestly, I thought the powder filler was a really nice touch. I don't know where she learned how to thread, but it's as if her touch was blessed by fairies or some otherworldly entity because she was so gentle. I didn't feel the thread raking across my skin, and I didn't tear up as the hair was being pulled out. I could barely feel a thing. This woman was a threading ninja. Pro tip: I was told they are always busy from noon to 2:00, and then 5:00 and after, so plan accordingly if you don't want to wait.
