They have always done an excellent job on my hair with my perm, wash and cuts. I stopped going anywhere else.

I was doing a Brazilian waxing and I asked her if she has sometime to do my eyebrows, she was very helpful and offered some extra time to do my eyebrows. She is an artist, she did them exactly the way I wanted them to be. She used hard wax and it was great experience! Usually my face turns red when I do regular or threading but this time it was fine. She used calming spray with cotton which also helped a lot. I highly recommend going to her if you want Brazilian or eyebrows done. She is professional! Another service with Jillian Haircut! First I need to say that I needed an extremely early appointment 6 AM (for real) they do not even open until 8 AM, but they were extremely understanding, helpful, supportive, and they really care about your needs! So they scheduled me for an 6 AM morning to do my hair! The haircut itself was fabulous, last year I did very bad haircut and I wanted to grow it so I can fix it, I only trusted Jillian to do my hair which I am glad I did at the end. I saw her for hair consultation before and I felt she understands your needs and she really cares about what you want to have. Also, she seems that she is very knowledgeable about the new haircut trends and modern styles. She did an amazing job fixing the old hair cut, she followed my direction exactly regarding the length and the results are amazing! The haircut is done perfectly! And I did hair style with her as well, I was thrilled that she did exactly what I had in my mind, even though I haven't showed her any pictures, just explained what I want! I feel this salon has gathered all the talented people in town and put them in one place. I highly recommend this salon! I would have giving them more than 5 stars if I could! I travel a lot and I tried lots of places, this is a great one! Good luck everyone!

I was searching for an appointment the week before the fall semester, which is naturally busy…read more Denied by many places, Kaitlyn was happy to come in early to do an appointment with me. Many salons wouldn't offer that, so I really appreciated the customer service. The decor inside is immaculate. As you'll see in the photos others have posted, it has an earthy yet luxurious feel to it. Down to earth but classy. Very bright and airy. A nice place to be. My stylist Kaitlyn (again, can't thank her enough for coming in early just for me) was very good about walking me through the steps of the process because I was doing a big change (cut off 12"+ and balayage; I've never even colored my hair before), making sure I was comfortable along the way. It definitely made me feel more at ease and trust in her abilities. She was very knowledgeable about the whole process of coloring from a chemical perspective. Which, as a chemistry major, I found pretty neat. Maybe others wouldn't care in the way I do about the chemistry, but it is relieving to know that your stylist really understands what she's doing to your hair. The products they use are very hair healthy and eco-friendly, which I find important. Louis offered me tea, too, which I've personally never experienced in a salon. Those little things help to make you more comfortable and at home, so I appreciated it greatly. As for how my hair turned out... I loved it! It couldn't have come out any better. It was exactly how I was hoping it would turn out. Masterful. It's been about 6 months since I got the cut and it's grown out nicely, which is exactly what I was hoping for! Before my hair was down to my hips with a lot of broken strands. I'm glad I got it chopped off because now it's healthy and turns out to be simple enough to style. Because now that I look back, I had so much hair that it just kinda sat there. I'm glad I got over the fear of cutting it, and that Kaitlyn was the one to do it! Just be aware that a process like mine cost about $200. Definitely not cheap, but these services also require a great deal of skill. Don't expect to be getting results this good for $20. I don't do a lot with my hair (I rarely ever use heat on it) so my hair is healthy enough to where I don't need cuts that often. But I think the next cut I need, I will come back.

This is my first time actually getting the haircut that I want!! I had a thick long hair and I…read morewanted to go back to a short haircut. I dreaded going to hair salons in the US because I have Asian type of hair (thick, heavy strands), and almost all salons I went to have been disappointing me with the results because they're not used to handle this type of hair. I went anyway because I was too desperate! I called in the morning and they told me to come in an hour later. Kristen was my stylist and she was super nice! She greeted me and offered some drinks. She really tried to cater to my needs and she even confirmed at the end if I want to adjust the length and the model (which I did and she was soooo accommodating!). The wash and blow at the end was really nice too! The place itself was really cozy and well decorated. It looks like high-end salon as soon as I walk in. But, here's the highlight, IT IS SO AFFORDABLE! I've had haircuts with the same price and they usually do just the bare minimum. I literally told her I can't believe I only have to pay that much! Would definitely come back for my routine haircut with Kristen!

Never any coupons, deals for however many times you go there, etc. The best seems to be to save a couple of dollars by paying cash over credit/debit card. It would be nice to feel appreciated and have some sort of reward or coupon program, given how large the business has grown to. #2: Lately, it seems that the nail techs are too busy to sanitize their tools in between customers. I really have no desire to catch anything from non-sanitized clippers, cuticle trimmers, or nail files. I would LOVE to see the techs opening sanitized tools in front of me while I'm there, so I know they're using clean stuff during my session. #3: I'm not sure if it's the tool or the techs, but I am so sick of my fingers getting cut up by the edges of the nail files! Like a papercut but deeper and it stings!! #4: Not everyone is trained equally. Some techs refuse to learn simple new techniques. It could be because they are over-worked and always busy. I also don't think each person does the dip manicure or the cat-eye manicure the same way - which way is the right way? It's different every time, it seems, and some techs' manicures definitely have better staying power and durability than others'. Overall, I find that this is a pretty good value for what you get, most of the techs do a good job, and I love that cat-eye dip is now being offered, but I'm just starting to question what's going on here. Are the workers too busy and stressed? Do they need more time in between clients?

I am a curly haired gal and- let me tell you- I have experienced some pretty awful haircuts in Upstate New York. Lots of places advertise curly cuts, "devacuts", yaddah yaddah- but they truly have no idea what they are doing. I can't tell you how many times I have had to go to NYC for rescue haircuts. ENTER JOLENE AND BIJOU.... if you want a great curly cut, this is where you should be going. Jolene is a genius- she truly understand the dynamic nature of curls and takes her time getting a lay of the "curl land" before she starts snipping. She starts with a dry cut to make sure she doesn't take too much... then she proceeds with the wash and dry process... and then- the grand finale- more styling at the end. She cut my hair before my wedding last July- it was perfect. And she just rejuvenated my mop of hair again today. I find the prices to be very, very fair. As an aside, everyone wears masks at the salon, and they check your temp and employ mandatory hand washing when you first walk in. If you have curly hair and are living in upstate New York/Syracuse, you must try this place.

When all was done I wasn't completely happy with cut or the lowlights being distributed properly, but decided to live with it for awhile so at next appointment I could tell the same senior stylist exactly what I wanted. So I paid and booked next appointment. When I went back I pointed out what I wanted done both cut and colour. She did not take this well and was taking it personally. I was quite taken aback.
