This secretary (Hannah) was the nastiest woman I've ever spoken to. i over heard her tell her coworker "why is she here, she shouldn't even be in our office" because she's right- i had to come in and confront them because they don't answer the god damn phone. Then she continuted on to call me "honey" in the most condescending tone. Fast forward to this week - I'm on my third appointment for a sinus infection. The physician is trying to give me new antibiotics for it, even tho I have already gotten a yeast infection from my last round of antibiotics. This male PA then had the audacity to look me in the face and tell me "yeast infections aren't a big deal they're not that bad". This is absolutely mind blowing to me. He had never had a a vaginal yeast infection and actually they're the most painful and uncomfortable things ever - so it would be really nice if a "doctor" didnt express his feelings about something he doesn't know anything about. I am so beyond disappointed with this care and i hope at the very least, Hannah is taught to have better customer service and the PA victor doesn't mansplain about something he knows NOTHING about.

Then in September we were told she was coming back soon but would not be able to do "any heavy lifting like for exams." Her staff told me that they could not tell me what was going on but that she would be back in October. And then i received a message on Patient Gateway and a letter stating that she wasn't coming back and I had 90 days to chose another PCP. In the meantime I was seen by a PA for a shoulder pain who told me I should go to physical therapy without an X-ray. Fortunately I ignored her advice and went to an orthopedist who took an X-ray and diagnosed arthritis which would have become worse with the PAs advise. Now the office staff says that my PCP "retired." Since my original PCP left the practiceit is quickly failing. Half the time when you call you cannot get through, just left listeNing to music and the other half you get the answering service (and not during lunch or after hours). The last phone call I received from the office was to set up an appointment with my new PCP who I was told had been referred for me by my original PCP. Neither the staff member or myself knows when this referral was made: at the beginning of the leave of absence, during the leave of absence or after my Dr "retired" decided to work elsewhere, was forced to leave, was placed in a care facility, or died. Whatever happened it was handled badly by the staff, the practice manager, the hospital, and/or the MGH,B&W partnership. Whatever happened it is not good for the patients.

No one smiles. They refused to give me the HPV vaccine, stating that they "weren't allowed" to do something that would be an out of pocket expense. (my insurance doesn't cover it and my doctor and I had agreed before hand that I could get it and just pay directly.) This is patently untrue, many medical offices provide self-pay services that aren't covered by insurance. When I asked the office manager where this policy came from or why, she couldn't tell me. Then proceeded to try to "administrator-splain" why I didn't need the vaccine. They rescheduled my annual physical (or scheduled in error) from my physician with a nurse practitioner. I would never consent to seeing an NP, and I am positive I booked this with my doctor when I had my physical last year. Then I got a letter that the NP was leaving, and they were rescheduling my appointment with a PA. No thank you. It's too bad because I like the doctor herself. But I will be getting a new PCP because of all of the above.
