I called this location to see if they had the Sephora brand of makeup in stock The employee said…read morethat they did. I mention to her that I would need to try the makeup on to find my color and I explained everything that I would need. She was attentive on the phone, listened, answered my questions and I told her I would see her when I arrived. I drove 55mins to this location after calling, only to find out they were SOLD out of the majority of this makeup. I was very disappointed to say the least. I ended up having an employee help me with I believe the correct shade for my skin completion. I explain my feelings about the situation to her. I ended up driving home and ordering the makeup online. I'll give this location three stars for the miscommunication on their part.

I've gone to Nicole at the JC Penny in McDonough for the third time now. I wanted to make sure I…read morehad multiple experiences with her before writing my review. First off, just know my hair was DAMAGED and shedding prior to going to Nicole. I also experienced major heat damage from going to a few different Dominican salon right here in McDonough. My first visit included a rinse to cover my pesky gray hair, highlights, deep condition and silk press and a major cut. I had gone to previous salons before and my gray hairs were still there after the rinse. I was lowkey annoyed at how much hair was on the floor, but it was damaged and needed to be cut. It was not cheap, but you get what you pay for, and Nicole is a licensed hair stylist. The next time, i went it was a wash, conditioning treatment and rod set. The following week i washed my own hair for the first time and was shocked at how my hair was full of curls and not shedding as it had been doing previously. I didn't have any long straight pieces and my hair once again was nice and thick. Today was a rinse, wash, conditioning treatment and flat iron no issues here. My hair looks amazing and most importantly healthy. If you are looking for a license colorist and someone who is going to treat your hair and get it healthy, and allow your hair to grow, go ahead and give Nicole a try. Tell her TammiJ sent you.

I let stylist DEBORAH [aka de-bo-rah as she pronounces it] put a perm on my hair.. she really DESTROYED my hair.. I noticed she was unpleasant in the beginning, I didn't think she would carry that attitude towards my hair...she proceeds to do my hair, I asked about the rinse colors they carried, she became more distasteful, as if I was bothering her... at this point she had the chemical on my hair and needless to say I was scared to say anything further for fear of what she could and did do to my hair...no client should feel like that... after looking at my hair I knew I would never return there... if she didn't want to do my hair or if she didn't want to be there, then she should not be doing peoples hair under no circumstances.. she is a horrible lady with a horrible attitude... 'Hair Update ' breakage and thinned... if I could give a minus zero star I would...

First, the salon is actually called Juana's Dominican Hair Salon. My experience at this salon was…read morenot a good one. It was unlike anything I've had at other Dominican salons. I will say that the salon is really nice inside and the shampoo lady was absolutely wonderful! The issues started when after the wash, the lady began to "twist" my hair (to go under the dryer); this was different, but okay - I'm open to a new process. I then go to a very thin young lady to do the blowout. She attempts to blow dry my curly wet 3A hair with their round brush. Ouch!!! I had to tell her "twice" that she was burning my wet scalp and tugging on wet 3A hair. Finally, I said stop and asked how long she had been doing hair, to which she replied 20 years. I said, "then you should know better and I want to maintain my healthy hair". She then began drying it without the brush. Once completely dry, she started back with the brush. I couldn't wait to get out of that place. No! I would not recommend this salon and if you must go, I definitely don't recommend that you go to her!

They always have what I need whether it is natural hair products for my type 4 hair or extensions when I was wearing sew ins and braids. I also like how they mark down products that are being discontinued or just ceased for selling at their location. When compared to other beauty supply stores, their pricing is the best and I still tend to come out my way to come to this location even though it is not the closest one to me.

I will say the Pandemic has truly affected all retail store outlets including this Sephora location. Prior the pandemic this place had roughly 6 floor salespeople and now it's reduced down to 1. I came into this store a couple of months ago because a good friend of mine got me a Sephora gift card. I was greeted by a young lady by the name of Renesha. She was extremely helpful with giving me advice when I asked about certain foundations for my skin tone. She was nice and helpful. Because there's limited staff on the floor, If they get a flood of people everyone will not be serviced. I still think this place has potential but they definitely need more staff. The place is always clean and the staff that are there are always helpful.
