I was aggressively accused of shoplifting by the woman at the front desk when I didn't even have a purse on me. I was just wearing a baggy sweater because it was chilly that day. The staff member actually said to me, "We have cameras that catch everything, so..." and it was honestly so uncomfortable. I get that shoplifting is a serious issue, but maybe double-check your footage before jumping to conclusions and accusing paying customers. Unfortunately I did have some things I needed to restock, and even more unfortunate that this is the only nail supply near by, so I still made my purchase after the awkward situation (with the same woman who accused me). She was not apologetic at all and maintained her hostile attitude with me as I checked out. The selection is also extremely disappointing. They have a very limited selections, and what they do have is mostly sold out. If you're a nail tech with a business, this is not the place to go. It seems like the store is more focused on catering to older women, which is fine, but not really ideal for professionals looking for supplies. Overall, I won't be returning to Gemini Cosmetics. Poor selection, rude staff, and a seriously negative experience. Not a place I recommend. I drive all the way to sacramento for nail supplies now to avoid spending my money here.

We walked the store hoping for a little guidance, but getting anyone to help felt impossible. The few interactions we did have came across as dismissive and rude, leaving us feeling more like an inconvenience than customers. Makeup can be intimidating when you're new, and a little kindness goes a long way. Instead, we left feeling defeated. We decided to head over to Sephora instead, and the experience couldn't have been more different. Someone immediately took the time to answer questions, make my girlfriend feel comfortable, and help her find products she loved. We ended up spending over $600 not because we planned to, but because great customer service built confidence and trust. Products can be found anywhere. The experience is what keeps people coming back. I truly hope this Ulta location invests more in customer service because first impressions matter, and ours was one of the most disappointing shopping experiences we've had.
