Not only is the work of this group of hair artists absolutely INCREDIBLE, they're also such an amazing bunch and the ambience of the salon is so zen and positive, one can't help but walk out of there feeling like you're levitating! I think I come here for the camaraderie, and the conversation, as much as I come for the hair artistry. Twylla is awesome and is always collaborating with the other artists and providing guidance. Courtney (the good hair witch!) has colored my hair twice - first she applied a clarifying treatment and gloss and then she colored my hair a fiery, fall red; both times I walked away feeling like a million bucks! Her hair styling skills are SO on point, too! Kiley and Taylor have both styled my hair for events, and they're superb as well. Colin just walks around looking like a million bucks, and his make up skills are the stuff of legends. Overall, every time I come to this salon, I wish I worked here. If only I knew ANYTHING about hair, I would work here - but I clearly don't which is PRECISELY why I need this team of AWESOMENESS to help me look my best! Thank you Lumos Nox!!!!

We talked a bit about how I wear my makeup and answered many of my questions along the way in my mini makeover. I have never used MAC cosmetics before today. I will however be back. I happened to come across rising lotus and scheduled a hair and make up appointment with Gia, the owner. I was absolutely blown away by her professionalism and attention to detail. It was a rainy humid day and I had hopes to have my hair down but was discouraged the moment I saw the rain. Gia assured me she'd do what she could to accomplish the look I was going for. Sure enough the curls in my hair did not budge and lasted all evening. My make up was stunning as well and lasted all night too! I received many compliments throughout the event. Thank you so much Gia! I had a great time and I will definitely book something here again in the future whenever I am back in town.

First she was putting out a grimacing face as I entered there as the customer, I immediately felt something wrong, I had never had her cut my hair before, and I was kindly asked her name, and what going on why she put out a face as I owing her, I did not feel welcome at all! Now comes the worse part, when she needed changed direction to cut me instead of kindly request or gently guide the directions, she pushed my head around real hard, as if operating a machine, kept sending orders: "look down, really down and stay there!" I'd have to say it's the worst hair cut experience I ever had! First of all, I will never go back to Vicky again and do not recomment her service. Wish the management train your employees to treat your customers right!

Since it was next door to the Buy Buy Baby I was visiting, I stopped in to see if they still sold the soap leaves/slivers/whatever they're called. They used to sell these little plastic cases with individual sheets of soap in them, which you could use wherever but especially traveling or whatever. It seems like the midst and aftermath of a pandemic would be literally the best time to reintroduce this product, rather than just sell hand sanitizer, but apparently B&BW isn't into it. So there was nothing for me to pick up here, but they've expanded quite a bit from their original bread and butter in that they sell lots of things like candles and whatnot now. The staff was friendly enough, happy to help even when they were totally confused by what I was looking for. If you're looking for bougie soaps and scents though, they've been holding on for years and looks like they're still going strong.
