No one EVER called me back, and I have phoned the salon on two separate occasions; once six months ago, and again on wednesday. Each time I've left messages; "there were three of us ( Myself and 2 teen daughters) and we'd like to make an appointment with a stylist and/or colorist, who has experience with modern cuts, and amazing color." I left my name and repeated my number 3 times throughout the voicemail. No one called us back, not on Wednesday, not Thursday, and not even today. Just to clarify, I've followed our stylist and colorist to every location they have moved to in the last 8 years. We are devoted family, and we are willing to pay for great service. Unfortunately, my stylist and her colorist opened a salon 2 hours away. So.... I read review's and found the Quote from Radine M., and thought I'd give them a call. THEN....NOTHING.. So today, I found a Salon who returned my phone call, and got my daughter in today ( her hair cut and color are both amazing)... and the rest of us will have our hair done tomorrow!!! So to the owner of Hair Cafe....This is a $450+ (not including tip) missed opportunity, multiply that sum x 6 (we get our hair done every 8 weeks) therefore you've lost $2700 in future business this year..( it's FUN to spell it out, especially in a down economy...just how important it is to RETURN a business call). Twice I've called! Great Business model..... it worked wonders for your competitors!

The atmosphere at floyds is upbeat, but there are times when the music is too loud making it so creating connection with the stylist is challenging. This would be my only complaint is the music. But the staff at the Boulder location have been amazing and kind for years. I am grateful for Floyd's and I am very grateful for Ariel working at Floyd's. She is the reason I keep returning.

Needless to say I was on the hunt again for a stylist. I have definitely found that in Darcy. I'm fairly laid back and go with the flow, which can be frustrating to stylists I'm sure, but she Darcy took it in stride. The color came out perfect, no neon roots! And she was able to trim and shape my hair, that I can still pull back and I don't have to do anything with, outside wash and go - see so laid back it's frustrating. Amy is adorable, friendly, and professional. She actually listens when I tell her what I want done with my hair. She also has an understanding of what styles work with certain face shapes and hair types (a simple but very important concept I find many stylists do not have). Amy is great and I can't recommend her enough. Elaine is also incredibly friendly and stylish. I have never had her cut my hair because I'm loyal to Amy but she has always been friendly and professional toward me and from what I have seen also does great work. She is also pretty slow, so squeezing in a decent haircut in 30min is challenging. Once I went and her station was super dirty. Once my hair towel fell on the floor and she put it back on my head. She doesn't dry your hair or cross check her cuts much, so you have to really want a simple cut. Tried even scheduling a cut and blow dry to have more time, but that didn't work either. She's a good stylist, but I'd recommend she raise her price to $35, extend appts to 45min, and either set aside scheduling time or figure out a better way to manage the phone. Also, be prepared for the chemical smell of the nail salon adjacent to hair salon. Better haircut than Great Clips
