This review is for the Sally Beauty store on Coors. I was treated very poorly by the manager in this store today. I asked the (very inexperienced) cashier if she could split my purchase into two transactions, so I could qualify for a promotion twice. Now, before you call me a cheapskate, realize that I was spending a lot of money in this store. I am a regular and loyal customer, and I never complain. The promotion was for a free tote bag if you spent $40. I was spending around $95, and the cashier said she would be willing to ring me up for two transactions so I could have two tote bags. I asked very nicely, by the way! The manager, who was standing by, muttered under her breath that I was making her work too hard, as she was viciously ripping open boxes full of product. I don't think she was kidding, either. She had a bitter disposition. No smiling, no joking around. I found it hard to believe that she worked in a beauty supply store. Go there and see for yourself. You'll know what I am talking about. She said something to the effect of, "You are really making us work today, aren't you, customer?" I was appalled. I sensed prejudice and a poor attitude in her demeanor. The cashier failed to ring me up correctly. She had split my transactions into $65 and $30, and told me I needed to buy more to qualify (even when I had explained that $40x2=$90, and I had $95 worth of merchandise, total.) I politely asked her to check it again. I wasn't in any rush. The manager gave me a dirty look and barked at the cashier, "JUST GIVE IT TO HER." The meaner she got, the nicer I became. Her job is not intellectually stimulating, nor is it emotionally gratifying. It really isn't all that hard. But then again, she didn't like to work. Period. She even told me. I will never shop at this Sally's again, if I see that heinous manager in there. I'll get back in my car and drive across town to deal with kinder people. read more
