Sally was amazing. I will be getting married next year and I wanted to wear my mom's wedding dress. Unfortunately there were stains all over the front of the dress and my mom and I were heart broken and unsure if the stains would come out. We took it to another cleaners and they kept it for three weeks and we get it back and it's almost like they didn't even touch it. Then we heard about Sally and took it to her. Sally had the stains out within the week of us bringing it to her. She also took the shoulder pads out of the dress. It was beautiful and everything that my mom and I envisioned. We kind of lost hope on it until we met Sally. She's not expensive, even though in my opinion she should charge more for the wonderful things she's capable of! Sally is great and does amazingly fast work. I do sew but don't get around to doing it and she is SO much better than me. I'm always happy with her work. One other thing I love about her is she is very straightforward and honest. If something can't be done the way you want it, she will simply tell you and not beat around the bush. This was my first time with Sally, and she is an awesome tailor/seamstress! I was recommended by a friend to her because I had a dress with no zipper and the waist seam too tight to go past my shoulders and it needed to be altered bigger. She had my dress done perfectly in 2 weeks. $75 isn't a bad price considering the results you get from her. I would recommend her for alterations because she is perfect. I randomly looked at this review because I heard Sally was in Google. I really was distressed to read the review by Kristie H. Sally has been creating garments for me for 40 years! She is an exceptional fabric artist! Among the myriad projects outside creating garments, Sally was artistic director for Judy Chicago's Birth Project which required extreme technical fabric solving cabibilities. People who live in our community consider her "our citiy's treasure"! Not knowing this person I have no idea of the extenuating circumstances, but I can say with certainty that what she wrote was an anomaly. read more

Sally is a wonderful lady she is very sweet and nice. I did take in a wedding dress for her to alter but it ended up being to short to wear you can see my feet and the neckline is no longer the way it is supposed to be. When i went into the fitting i also found some more thread strands that were sticking out then when i brought it in. But she did say she will fix those. When we asked if she could lengthen the hem or if it is possible to get the neckline again she said no and that if she ruined the dress then she will pay us the whole dress back. This was nice and profesional of her but honestly that didn't make me feel at all better because it felt like she wasn't even going to try to give suggestions to fix it. Maybe that is because there isn't any solution but i always feel like suggestions or telling the customer why they cant do that would at least let you know instead of i cant do it. Also the dress was a sample and they are not making anymore and we took a plane to Utah to get a modest dress. It wasn't until my mom mentioned that maybe we could do something to the other sleeve to fix the neckline problem that we were looking into it a bit more instead of it cant be done. We left the dress at sally's and only a few minutes later i just didn't feel comfortable with it any more. I felt really bad having to take the dress from her because i don't ever want people to feel like they did a bad job. She didn't charge us for what she did which was also great. Maybe this was just one of those rare occasions where it just didn't work out and i guess i can only pray to find someone else to fix the problems that the dress now has. It was very heartbreaking that i had to do that and hope i wont have to go through that again and find myself looking at other dresses even though i know i cant afford another one if i cant fix this one. read more
